Bare min but surprisingly worth it”

If you're solo this is a bit more expensive than it needs to be but overall the place works. The beds are ok (they could have heavier blankets), AC works well, internet is crappy but there, and the TV, despite being super old, actually works well.

Hotel is Pretty Decent”

The hotel is near the town, like few steps away. There is an access road / stairs going down the town center itself. Room’s clean and staff members are friendly. Breakfast is basic. I tried ordering the tuna pasta and it tastes good and pretty reasonable for it’s price range. The only thing I didn’t like about the hotel is the wifi where there is zero to no connection at all. One is able to connect but it isn’t loading anything. Best adbise is to use globe mobile data. Smart mobile data is to no avail as well.

It's very near from the city town proper. The owner and staff were so friendly and accommodating and even fixed our pick up and drop off airport transfers. They were such a big help all throughout our stay in Coron. One thing I would like to suggest on where they should improve is their Wi-Fi connection. It's really fast when you're in the lobby but when you're in your room, it can't even be detected. Nonetheless, it's worth coming back and would love to recommend this to all.

4 nights”

The owner and staff were really friendly and accommodating, they gave out recommendations where to eat, what to do and took in some of the perishable items we bought. They can improve on breakfast quantity as well(e.g danggit was 3 malnourished pieces and charged 170php for it), work on wifi connectivity as well. Airconditioning and heating systems were working and didn't have a problem during our stay.

Ok but needs an renovation ”

The hotel has a gorgeous view and the location is fine, a few minutes walk from the centre. It’s fine for a couple of nights but we also stayed in a different hotel for a couple of nights, for the same price, which was a lot more modern and the staff was much friendlier. It could be an amazingly beautiful place, but it really needs a renovation.

Superb Stay”

We stayed at the room with a bay view, and I must say, it was an amazing feeling to wake up to a stunning sunrise each morning and go to bed with a colorful sunset each night. The room itself was so comfy, though we did have that occassional insect in the bathroom which is understandable because we are situated right on a mountain. Everything else was impeccably maintained. Staff was very accomodating to all our requests. Food is so so. I loved our stay.

The best View you can have in Coron”

We took this hotel for the view, so we took the third floor with sea view.. and where really impressed with the Perfect view... 5 stars on that we took the 3rd floor, and that means, many steps to go to our room, coz there s no elevator. for us was no problem at all, but if you have elder people with you, consider the stairs The food is great and good price. The staff is good too and do everything to help you, if you ever ask anyhting. even when we needed some help to find things to do, they where always so helpful Good Location, not just because of the view, but it s only 3 minutes away from the city, so you don t hear the much noises of the city especially at night time, and in the same time, you re not far from the city

Recommended for Coron first timers”

+ They have the best view of sunset. Service: + Receptionist greeted me with a smile. + Helpful and friendly; gave me tips about island hopping. Value: + Booked through Agoda, and it was really a good - Food is a bit expensive. Sleep Quality: + Cool AC + Comfy and really quiet, which is perfect for resting after a whole day oustide/island hopping. Location + Just a walking distance away from the market/happenings. + You can take a trike if you prefer not to walk for just php10. Room is ok, and its clean. - CR is a bit small.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. We enjoyed the ambiance, the service and the view from our room (Bay view). The staff were friendly. The only problem in this hotel is that it is quite far from the town proper. Overall, great experience.

our stay in mount tapyas was a pleasant one and the hotel staff was helpful..the hotel was a five minute walk going to the town..all the amenities was working properly and we can see the coron town sign right from the bar on the third floor...the short fall was there not much tricycle passing by the hotel so sometimes we have to text the tricycle ourselves..thats all..thank you

Not too far from the main roads and a beautiful area to watch the Sunset. My fiance and I like to stay a bit away from main roads so we have the option of accessing them when we want and enjoying tranquility when we don't, this place delivers just that. The staff was pretty helpful with any questions we had and made sure we were able to get to the airport and have a load of washing done before our departure.

We stayed at the hotel for 5 days and 4 nights.. The hotel might be a little old compared to the others but it is still a good place to stay because it has a nice and homey ambiance and the staff are very polite and accommodating. The area is safe for night walk going to the famous restaurants like carl's bbq and sinugba, although if you want to ride, tricycle must be requested ahead of time because they rarely pass by the area.. over all, if you want to relax with affordable yet nice ambiance, this place is right for you.. :)

Very good seaview”

The first day, we got a bad room that on the ground floor, the air-con made noise full night. After our complaint, they change our room to the second floor, there is better view than ground floor. but the view of 3rd floor is the best.

Disappointed ”

I stayed here before and that was great. I meet staff that really friendly and we stayed for 2nights and there's no problem with it. Just last Dec 10-13 were back from this paradise Coron an stayed in mt.tapyas with my husband and his friends from Holland, we arrived with clog toilet bowl so we flushed 3x and it was gone. After our island hoping on the next day we came back seeing the bowl is clogged again, we are lazy to transfer so we flushed, flushed, flushed until it will be gone again. But we are dissapointed that in the next day we inform in the reception before we go 2nd day of island hopping that out toilet is broken and ask them to fix and clean the room. But we are back that they ddnt do anything about it so we decided to transfer room. And clean the room. we are tired arriving with your complain is useless. And we transferred room, we had shower, and had dinner then right after that we are back in the room an sleep that was around 8pm and the hell happened around 11pm we wake up coz the Airco stopped with no reason hahaha. And my husband tried to fix it and it's not working anymore so we choose to sleep again as we feel cold enough. We woke up 5pm as we need to shower and prepare for our flight early in the morning. We are disappointed by this and I hope you can have a renovation for this that make your hotel better.

4D/3N bliss with friends”

Attentive STAFF: - I booked the room with agoda and requested for an extra bed, but it didn't go through. I contacted the hotel and requested for an extra bed (2 days prior to our arrival date) and they obliged and confirmed immediately. They even pro-actively arranged an airport transfer to us as well (150/person). - We had issues with the toilet flush on our 2nd day, so they moved us to another room. - On our last night, they arranged for another airport transfer for us going to the airport. - Staff are all friendly and attentive. - They also have a 24/7 security guard for security (although Coron is really a safe place pero our experience). HOTEL: - Since the hotel is along Mt. Tapyas, you'll have a really nice view of the town and the ocean. - We really enjoyed hanging out on their rooftop where you have a terrific view of the sunrise and sunset (nice for picture taking :) - The hotel looks good at night as well since they have Christmas lights all over it. - They also have a free water dispenser that can be found on their dining area :) A must if you're hiking Mt. Tapyas! The only hassle we had was the toilet flush on our first room. Haha! But all in all, it was really a great stay! THANK YOU MT.TAPYAS HOTEL!!!

Great place at the foot of Mt taypas and the edge of town. Wonderful staff and restaurant. We missed the bar on the top of the hotel but we weren't told about it. The TV is small and at the ceiling so had to strain your neck but your not in coron to watch TV. Loved the handcarved benches outside our room and a perfect view of corona harbour. Amazing staff and super friendly.

Best view in Coron! ”

Room: - we stayed in one of the bay view rooms, the views are fantastic! You wake up everyday to see a great view, it was really refreshing. - The room is quite decent. They have high ceilings, functional AC, hot and cold water and TV with cable. - The bed is hard (it's like an orthopedic bed) but I like it. Location: - very close to the market and restaurants - we never encountered problems with tricycles going to the hotel (I read somewhere that other tourists had a problem with tricycle) Food: - not great and expensive. look for alternative! :) Service: - great! the staff are welcoming and very accommodating. Price: - Room rates depend on room location. Bay view rooms cost a little bit higher than mountain views.

Good and peaceful location”

We stayed at 3rd floor family room. We had a great view but i was with senior citizens and they all had a hard time with the hotel's very steep stairs. The best view is located in the 3rd floor but i won't recommend it if you are travelling with senior citizens.

It was memorable and enjoyable”

At first we were given a room downstairs but I could not sleep because the air conditioner was so loud. Besides, the TV was not working. We told the staff about the problem and they readily transferred us to the second floor with the same view of the bay. The only distraction was the bright light from the window which could not be dimmed despite the curtains. Over all, our stay was nice and memorable.
