What a fab find! ”
We loved staying here the facilities are great and the room feels really homely and cosy. We stayed just before going over the border and the location is great. Staff are helpful and kind. Really enjoyed our stay here!

Super nice place”
This place is neat and clean and the family running it is very helpful and kind. My son enjoyed playing the really nice acoustic guitars there. I read one review that mentioned not liking the religious sayings. We felt they were in good taste and just trying to create a positive space. Yes, they are Christian but I am Buddhist but I thought the whole place was really great and not distasteful in anyway! You cant go wrong with Sleeping Well.

Clean bathroom; good water pressure and heating; at 7:00 you can see monks walking down the street. Views - Laos from common balconies and pretty sunset from windows on opposite side (if you have such) Recommend definitely! Clean and convenient, well placed in town.

Everything is great about the place but the best part is that they will help you with Tuktuk (as CK has limited transportation options) and they will charge you very fair. The staff are great and courteous as well. :)

Ok option for 1 night before crossing the border”
The private room we had was clean and the bed comfortable. It was on the small side but did fit a tiny desk in there too. Bathroom was large relatively speaking. The lady at reception didn't speak English very well but we managed to check in with her. We did also book transport to the border through her but this didn't show up the next morning so double check that it is actually booked. Since the hostel is located a bit further out this meant we had to walk into town a bit more until we came across a tuk tuk. Wouldn't necessarily recommend but it was cheap so it did the job for 1 night.

Good for a night or 2 ”
We only stayed here one night before getting a taxi to the border to cross into Laos. We had a room on the top floor with comfortable beds and a private bathroom. The bathroom was a bit smelly, like a drain smell; but if you kept the door shut it was fine. Like I say we were only here for one night so nothing to complain about. Location was ok too- restaurant right opposite and a few down the road, plus a Big C minimart.

Great stop for Mekong river cruise”
Perfect little place to stay ahead of river cruise trip down mekong. We splashed out on top floor room and the views were beautiful looking over Laos. Sadly no on site cafe/bar anymore as we had seen from previous old reviews but few options around.

I didnt like the window into the bathroom”
Someone was coughing alot in their 7am shower for about 30 minutes and my window was opening to the shared bathroom I did get sick next day Staff is nice room is small

Mixed feelings”
The room that I booked was not available on check in. I got another room in another building a minute walk away. Nice views and quite place. But no hot water in the shower. Was told is was an upgrade but would not agree.

Cheap, neat, clean and modern hostel”
Price is unbeatable. Best for backpacker. People are helpful. You can borrow a bicycle to explore the city. Very clean and neat bed and this is what I need after a long haul bus from LPB to Chiang Khong. Also, there are different types of room which will fit for your need. I will choose this hostel again if I visit Chiang Khong again^^

I am pretty sure it is quite rare to find a place managed by Christian in the Kingdom! First time for me in Thailand. As a solo tourist I found the room acceptable but two persons with two big packs then you might find the room a bit on the small size. Chiang Khong bus station to Chiang Rai is at a acceptable walking distance ie 15mins and might take more if you have heavy pack. Tuk-tuk will ask 30 bahts for the bother.

Fantastic Place, Would Stay Again!”
The hostel was perfect for us. We had a double room with a private bath. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The bedroom was a little small but worked well for us as we were just spending the night before jumping on a slow boat the next morning. Wifi Worked well. The staff was awesome and spoke perfect English. We were able to message them and they helped us arrange our slowboat tour. Highly recommend, would stay again!

Perfect stop over in Chang Khong! ”
We stayed for one night in a double room with a balcony and we wish we could’ve stayed longer but had to catch the slow boat to Laos. Pros - huge room, big comfy bed, big balcony with fantastic views over the Mekong River, room service (recommend the Korean chicken and rice), powerful shower, lovely fresh decor, bedding was crisp, extremely clean, across road from best bar in town, friendly staff with great advice and tips. Cons - the water in the shower wasn’t hot and after a night of air con it wasn’t nice to shower in cold water, we had a bit of a delay waiting for breakfast but the owners did explain that someone had called in sick (hey we’ve all worked in hospitality, we get it) We even booked a ride to the border with the hostel for 160TBH for 2 people. They had options of booking the slow boat package but we opted to do it ourselves and save money and tbh it was easy to do. Thanks very much!

Maybe a decent hostel for backpackers but the private rooms are okay with some negatives ”
i stayed in a private room with private bathroom Pros:- -good wifi -bathroom was quite good. there was a liquid soap and shampoo dispenser near the shower, hand basin had liquid soap -hairdryer provided -hand towel and body towel provided -my pillow was ok, the other pillow was a little high on one side -tissue box provided Cons:- -the bed was on the too soft side. because the mattress is on the floor and there's not much room, people step on it to get on the bed thereby creating a mattress that has sunk. so the sides are higher and when you sleep you tend to slide towards the middle if you know what i mean. -while the shower is separated by curtain with the toilet, there's a big gap and the drain is near the toilet so all the water basically goes on the floor. -small room -hardly any sound insulation, actually i don't think any exists. the walls are like thin and the bathroom has shutters that open up to the shared bathroom area so you can hear. -restaurant is average quality

My staying there was awesome. The hostel is extremely nice, very new and good decoration. The staff was awesome as well, I even played the guitar and piano with the owner and had a great conversation. 100% recomendable

Amazing Hotel! ”
We stayed one night coming back from Laos (would've stayed a second night if they hadn't been full the following night because we enjoyed it so much!) Hotel is new and modern, very clean, comfortable beds, nice bathroom with good water pressure and great Wi-Fi and AC. (We had a private room with private bathroom, and two other travellers we met had different rooms and also loved them.) The staff spoke great English and were happy to help out with any questions (and had the bus schedules available for popular destinations). There's a common tv room, two guitars and a piano guests can play, and great balconies to enjoy a drink outside! There is food and beverages available at the hotel, and they can cater to allergies. Would absolutely recommend staying here!
