No complaints, more than adequate and great staff”
I booked the Marine for an overnight visit to Malta for its location to Sliema - Valletta ferry (about 200m) and its very reasonable room rate. Added bonus was a bus stop (Ferries 3) next to Sliema - Valleta ferry and I was able to get a direct bus (TD2) to the airport the following morning (about 15mins). The room (111) was more than adequate and clean. It was actually a family room (?) and had two single beds and huge double bed. The room had a TV although limited choice of channels. The room also had coffee making facilities. The en-suite was also more than adequate. One plus point I would award the Marine would be for the staff. The few times I used reception the staff were extremely helpful and of a cheery manner, and I was made to feel welcome. My room was at rear of property but there are a large number of rooms at the front of hotel and these would have incredible view across harbour to Valletta.
I will return... near all
Great value for money”
Hotel situated on seafront in the heart of Sliema. Staff could not be more obliging.
No value for money room 204”
I Got a room 204 with no Windows but with a limb for a dark and narrow look with no light, asked for another room bur I had to pay EUR 35 extra which I declined. Futheremore there is no fire staircase in the Building, and the ordinary staircase is not good in case of fire
Fabulous, clean and friendly hotel right next to the capital, Valletta”
We needed to be in Valletta for a concert for 2 nights. This hotel fitted the bill perfectly as it's literally just across the harbour (which is a beautiful sight). A couple of minutes walk from the hotel to the ferry and then the crossing takes 4-5 minutes. All for around £1.50 each way. Fantastic. We'd never been to Malta before and after a lovely week, we'll definitely go back. It's such a beautiful country with hardly any crime and very friendly people. We used the buses to get around (something we never do in the UK) All felt very safe even after midnight and £20 for a week's rover style ticket. I've never been big on paying extra for a room with a view so we booked a cheaper room with no view. However, everything else was the same. Nice and clean, comfy bed, good shower, fresh towels and room service every day. Complimentary toiletries, hairdryer and good air con. I never booked breakfast in advance but we tried it the first morning then had breakfast here every day!
I booked the hotel without realizing how CONVENIENT the location was. Firstly, I was the first to drop off for the airport transfer €5 one way or €10 2 ways. Secondly, the hotel is just right in front of the ferry terminal to Vallenta & has the terminal station for the hop on off bus. Nice! I had the amazing Harbour view room which is worth every €. Florin was a great help too. Her English is perfect :) However, the room is a bit dated and WiFi always gets disconnected but the room is clean and big coz I booked the Harbour view room. I peeked into the single room beside mine and it was tiny 😅 Hope this helps for fellow travelers!
Older hotel, but great location”
Hotel is showing its age. Front desk exceptional. Location excellent for dining, public transportation.
Small room ”
Good location but the room is tiny and a lots of seafood restaurants nearby
Room is not as advertised. Poor customer service.”
The room that we booked is not as advertised. The details and the picture of the room is very different. We were expecting a spacious room with 2 double beds for 3 pax but ended up in a very cramped room with only a single bed! We complained and showed the details of our booking with Agoda but the front desk personnel was unable to transfer us to another room as their Supervisor cannot be contacted. And in the process of negotiating with the front desk personnel, the way he dealt with us was borderlining to being unconcerned and impolite. As were very tired and having arrived in the hotel late at night, 2 of us had no choice but to squeeze ourselves on a narrow single bed and 1 of us had to sleep on the very small floor space left which we just covered using a towel. It was a very miserable experience staying at this hotel!
Good price for a hotel”
Except wall is a bit thin and the tv position is not user-friendly, everything is fine!
Great connecting location”
The Silema Marina is at the city hub for tours, transport, food and shopping. You are 50m from all the above. The staff moved me to seaview at no extra costs.
Great location almost opposite the ferry to Valletta and a major pick-up point for the hop on/hop off bus and harbour cruises.
I had such a good time in this hotel. Everything was perfect. The staff has been very nice and helpful, the room (superior sea view and balcony) was extremely clean and of course the location is the best to visit Malta. I stayed there one week and if I go back to Malta one day I will be staying there again.
I like this hotel very much! Location is very perfect! You'll be able to go in any place in island. There are a huge quantity of shops around. Ferry station is very close to the hotel. The hotel itself is OK. Staff is very helpful and friendly. A room has been cleaned every day. I highly recommend this hotel!
Perfect location and wonderfull view of Valetta”
The location is perfect close to ferrys, bus stop, shopping and restaurants. The facilities are worn, beds hard and breakfast not worth to include, eat it in one of the cafes nearby.
Bad....no service and deceive customer”

Excellent all-around!! Location, staff, facilities, etc!!!”
Great place to stay overlooking the harbour! Close to everything by public transport and even a walking distance to the biggest shopping mall in Malta! So close to St Julian's on an easy walk on the promenade! Excellent, friendly and wonderful staff! So many great places to eat and shopping close by! Highly recommended!!
Close to the ferry from Sliema to Valletta. Wonderful night life around hotel, but room was very very quiet. Heard nothing but church bells. Room was very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was not included in the price of the room, but it was very full for 7 euros if you change your mind. I was very tired the next day on arrival so bought it then.
Very thing is perfect. Recommend!
Great location for an off season break”
We have stayed at the Marina before and the service was as good as ever. The manager and staff are friendly and attentive, the location on the waterfront at Sliema is excellent for buses and for the Valletta ferry service. The view over the harbour to Valletta is spectacular. Off season rates are fantastic value. We stayed for 9 nights which allowed us to explore the entire islands of Malta and Gozo by public transport. Malta has so many fascinating places to visit easily reached by bus or ferry.
