Great find in Rome”
We are a family of 4 adults and stayed here in June 17. The hotel is new, modern clean and in a good but quite location for exploring Rome. It is just the right distance from Termini station. Rooms were a reasonable size, comfortable & clean. Bathroom was modern with good water flow. The hotel is a great find for Rome and at an excellent price. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, with a very good choice. For those who have been trawling the hotel websites you will have discovered Rome is a very hard place to find a good deal on a modern hotel, the Smooth Hotel ticked all the boxes. Give the hotel a go, I don't think you will be disappointed. When you are traveling on a budget it is nice to find that hotel which of a very high standard at the right price & it is even better when breakfast is included. When next in Rome we will look at staying at this hotel again.
Stayed for one night”
Hotel is at a very good location to me as it is within walkable distance from Rome Termini station but the area is less doggy than Rome Termini. For people who would like to stay nearer to Rome Termini station should choose Smooth Hotel Republica. Two hotels look the same from the outside so it maybe easy to mix them up. Staff is nice and we were so lucky to be upgraded to a bigger room for our stay. Breakfast is average but enough to start a good day. Staff at the front desk gave us good recommendation on how to plan our route in Rome for we are only staying for one day. We were very pleased.
Rome 2019”
Pros 1. Request quiet floor. Hotel delivered. 2. Spacious room for 2 (couch was a plus) so useful. 3. Breakfast included, helpful for morning before tours. Coffee/Expresso machine great. 4. Pocket phone to use as wifi to travel around the city. Wish all hotels did this. Excellent. 5. Elevator for Max 4 (without luggage). 6. Safety box. 7. Comfy bed and decent size bathroom. 8. Staff was great and helpful. 9. Room cleaned as requested when needed. 10. AC unit very helpful for the heat. Cons 1. Not as close to Rome termini station. Solid 15 to 20min walk, longer if you get lost as a first time visitor. 2. Limited metros to travel at night and nearest metro to hotel is still 15min walk. 3. Limited toiletries (one type of soap/shampoo) so bring your own items. 4. Room service did not work as the line to the kitchen never got through. Wish there was a direct line to the kitchen to place room service meals. Especially after long days of walking.
Excellent”
Value for money for a clean, modern, comfortable hotel in central Rome. Location is about a 20-minute walk from Roma Termini - which can be somewhat challenging with luggage due to uneven pavements. It’s about a 30-minute walk to key attractions like the Trevi Fountain and the Colosseum too; it was a short stopover for me and not my first time to Rome so it didn’t affect me much, and you can always get the bus. The neighbourhood is a safe one - I’m a single woman and I walked back on my own from the area around the Trevi Fountain one night well after 10pm - it was uneventful and did not feel dodgy at all even though parts were not well lit; I’ve definitely walked around Termini after dark alone before and that area is far edgier.
Great Hotel with very friendly and helpful staff”
The hotel is located near Termini only 5-10 minutes walk. When we arrived much earlier than our check-in time, the room is already available to our use. The staff is very helpful from our first arrive until our check-out or even later when we are waiting for our time to walk to the Termini to continue our travel. The breakfast is sufficient to start our days. The staff has really good knowledge about route map to different attractions. The room is very clean and nicely designed. We have nothing to complain and we definitely want to come back and stay here for our next trip to Rome.
Excellent”
A great hotel in Rome. About a 10 minute walk (without bags) from Termini train station, and the same distance from 2 metro stops. Giulia on reception was very warm and welcoming. The hotel is renovated in a simple modern style. Not fancy, but very cleanly presented. Hotel rooms in Italy are typically small and this one is no exception but there was room for our 2 suitcases and a cupboard for hanging things. We were in room 202 and it was so quiet. No street noise at all which was a real surprise. Breakfast was good and offered fruits, yoghurt, cereals, cheeses, meats, bread and some sweet things. All taxi drivers knew the street so getting a taxi home from anywhere was never a problem. I will stay here again.
Excellent”
This Smooth hotel is conveniently located to Roma Termini and therefore onto the airport and other destinations. Originally booked into the Smooth Hotel Roma Termini, but due to a problem got transferred to Smooth Hotel Rome Repubblica which is closer to Roma Termini. Taken there by taxi and upgraded to what we were told as "the best room", room 501, the only room on the floor. The lift goes to the 4th floor, then you walk the rest up the stairs. It's a large spacious room that can be used for a family as it has a pull out bed. However we found some problems. Although a large room, there were no chairs to sit on, just one stool. No luggage rack. The bath is not flush to the wall and there is no bath/shower curtain. There is a hand-held shower which sprayed all around the bathroom. The TV was not working properly during our stay. Very nice buffet breakfast with cereals, fruits, yogurts, cheese, eggs and vegetables. Recommended for an overnight stay if moving on the next day.
Perfect Choice for Rome ”
This hotel was perfectly clean, had a sleek, uncluttered decor, large bathroom and wonderful breakfast spread. The front desk staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The location to Rome Termini Station made it very convenient while providing the benefit of being in a quieter area of Rome, away from the tourist crowds. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Exceptional”
Smooth Hotel Rome Termini is convenient, small and well staffed hotel! Staff are very efficient and speak the English language fluently. Helping guests bookies their tours and even packed guests with bagged breakfast for early am tours! Great spread of food for the breakfast buffet and staff worked diligently and very pleasant. Room was clean all the time and wd heating rack for the towels😋 front desks are always smiling and ready to help customers. Room and bathroom is small but clean and very modern😉
Good hotel in a good location ”
Easy to find and under 10 mins walk from Termini rail station. Hotel is very modern and looks like it's been refurbished in the last couple of years. All the staff were very welcoming, knowledgeable and fluent in several languages. They recommended tours and will contact the agency to book up for you if required. The breakfast was the same every morning, but plenty of choice available. The tables are quite small though and not much room between them. They offer a 2 course meal with bread and a drink for €18 which seemed decent value. The chicken though was very dry and the sea bass was very small. Drinks are typical hotel prices. There's a Coop just round the corner where you can buy your own beer @ £1 for 660ml bottle and wine for about £5. The receptionists will open these for you if you've not got the tools. Overall I'd recommend this hotel to couples, friends, and families alike. A special "thank you" to Giulia for her help and recommendations.
Best stay ever!”
Me and my wife stayed in this hotel for three nights. The staff is nice and friendly. It is located close to termini stop where is the major centre of transportation in Rome. The hotel is also clean and the breakfast was great. If I ever come back Rome, I would definitely book this hotel again.
This is your hotel in Rome”
I booked this hotel based upon reviews only. It was amazing. The staff take care of you. The room is incredibly spacious and open. The coolest amenities- especially that they provide a smartphone to take with you around the city. Comes with navigation, recommendations, and allows you to book tours and tickets. Breakfast is included and has a pretty standard fare. I loved the entire experience. On the night before checkout, they helped me prep for an early flight, including booking a cab for the next morning and packing a box breakfast for us. Hotel is a few blocks from Termini and from Piazza Reppublica.
Our Favorite Hotel for the Whole Trip!”
My boyfriend and I traveled around Europe for 2 weeks and this was our favorite hotel for the whole trip! The staff were amazing. The room was so comfortable and cool, with a wonderful minimalist aesthetic. The wifi was strong and reliable, which was a refreshing change of pace. Breakfast was good, pretty standard, but the experience was a bit better than others somehow. We loved the location because it was right near the Termini train station and in between 2 metro stops. We would happily stay with Smooth Hotel again. In fact, we looked to see if they had any locations in Paris (they don't) because we loved the experience so much. I'd absolutely recommend this one!
Smooth style”
This hotel is fairly near to Termini railway station in the centre of the city, easy to reach all the sights by foot or metro. I booked this as the hotel looked stylish, nicely designed and good sized room; they delivered. a huge room with sofa and table, a comfortable queen size bed and a smart bathroom. There was a mini bar (only water in it), kettle & coffee, safe & hairdrier, really nice to have and is not always provided at other places. Friendly and helpful staff. I'd definitely stay again, a great find! Two downsides - 1 - breakfast was very limited, essentially dairy, wheat and pork, the three things I dont eat, there was no care for vegetarians or muslim/jewish as there was a shared van marie for eggs and pork sausage, plus there was bacon placed behind the cheese plate and with a shared fork, yuk! 2 - noise from the corridor, it was as if there was no door/wall as you could hear absolutely everything, not sure why that was the case but it was.
Value for money”
Room is clean and comfortable, suffient variety for breakfast, staff is friendly and helpful. There are also some good restaurants nearby the hotel. 10min walk to Rome Termini Station.
very nice Hotel ”
Hotel is just 8min walk from Roma Termini. Very convenient for travelers with kids. Hotel is clean, the staff are very friendly & helpful, the buffet breakfast is good. overall, I highly recommend this hotel and I'll surely comeback when I tour again in Rome.
Breakfast ”
During our stay in Smooth Hotel Rome Termini, overall is very good. One day we need to go outside earlier before the breakfast time, we requested to pick up breakfast for outside, we found it the breakfast was not good, only have cold and hard bread. I suggested if give sandwiches is better than cold and hard bread.
Exceptional”
We loved our stay. The food in the hotel was good and well priced. We were walking distance to the Train station, Rome Termini.
Smooth service ”
Reception desk staff were friendly and very informative advising on best places to visit and transport links, buses, metro and train etc. Room was more than big enough for myself, wife and 2 young daughters. Stayed for 2 days and ate in hotel restaurant- reasonable prices for quality food served. Very attentive waiter service always on hand to assist. (Forgotten his name, shaven head, very pleasant man, always smiling!!) Would return here in the future when exploring Rome more :)
Exceptional”
Great hotel near Termini station. Warm welcome at reception - very helpful and our room was ready early. We had a cosy room for 2 nights. It was a good size for 2 and overlooked the inner courtyard. There is a mobile phone available in the room with free calls / AppStore’s help you during the trip. Breakfast was included. We paid just 106€ for 2 nights! Amazing!
