Nice, modern, and stylish, with excellent service”
We have stayed twice at the So Park Apartments. The first time, we really liked the hotel and service. Unfortunately, a mistake was made with our booking. There were also a few other smaller issues. However, we received exceptional service from David at the reception, who personally did everything possible to resolve issues and provide the best possible service. We were very impressed by this even though disappointed by the situation. The hotel management and other staff we dealt with did everything they could to make the situation better and we were satisfied with how they dealt with it. The second time we stayed, everything was great and trouble-free. Everything about the hotel is modern, stylish, and of a high standard. The rooms are large, comfortable, and have many facilities. No food is available, as it is entirely self-catering, but the rooms feature built-in kitchens with microwave, toaster, hobs, sink, refrigerator, and all items required for serving and eating food. The ensuite bathrooms are also very nice indeed, displaying a high level of style and quality. All staff were professional and courteous, whilst David stood out for his flawless service and great friendliness. Nothing was too much trouble for him in personally dealing with our issues and requests, so this made our stays very special. For us without a car, the location of the hotel in the Battersea area was not convenient for central London. Buses to Victoria Station frequently depart from outside the hotel (arriving back, the stop is Battersea Library, some distance before the hotel). However, it would be a lot more convenient if it were near an Underground Station to avoid the need to use both bus and Underground train for most places (slower and more costly). Battersea Park seems to be the only tourist feature nearby. We love the hotel and would really enjoy staying here again. Very highly recommended!
Exceptional”
This is the second time we are staying at So Park apartments. Staff are friendly and helpful. Location wise it's close to our son's flat which is ideal for us. Room is spacious and very clean. We will definitely stay at SO Park again. Thank you to all staff at So Park for making our stay a pleasant one.
fantastic stay”
I had a great stay at the hotel. The first impression was very good. The room was very spacious, clean and tidy. One of the main reasons i chose the hotel was because of the car park. But the set up for the car park was a little awkward. I needed a member of the reception staff to take me to my car and open the gate each time i wanted to use my car. I would use the hotel again, but i think it would be better if the car park situation was reviewed.
Good location, no frills”
So Park is set up for extended stay guests, so the rooms have fully functional, fully furnished kitchenettes. The rooms themselves are very large with nice furniture, but utterly bland. There wasn’t a single picture or decoration anywhere in the room. The lobby and hallways could use new carpeting. The price was excellent and it’s a block from Battersea Park.
Good Service Apartment type hotel.”
We have a family of 4 with two older children. Overall, we had a pleasant stay at So Park. The staff were friendly and attentive to our queries. The room has a kitchenet which was exactly what we needed to prepare some light meals when we needed. Opposite the hotel, we found a cosy restaurant with an unusual name "Angel & Gaslight" which served excellent steaks. Tranportation connection was adequate although the hotel location is not within the main hotel locations within London. The only negative was the late making up of the room and often having to remind the chamber staff that we need 4 towels a few times. The other fix needed was the ventilator in the bathroom and also the Kitchenet which were both not working.
Love this hotel~!”
Spent two nights @ So Park Hotel. The hotel is comfortable, the staff was very friendly. can't really complaint with this value. The room was clean with a tiny kitchen in the room. Would definitely recommend to a friend.
Good Value”
Based on some reviews I found after I booked I was apprehensive about our upcoming stay. Those reviews were wrong. The lobby may need some TLC and new carpet but for the value this was a good deal. The room had everything we needed. It was clean. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom seemed newly updated and it was beautiful. I was happy.
Thankfully a very Brief Stay”
Thankfully this was only a one night stay.. We'd booked an apartment for 3x adults and which was found to be a lot smaller than we'd expected. The site photographs & advertising material, display apartments of much greater dimensions, and with separate sleeping areas. Although booked & paid in full six weeks in advance, the one we were allocated was just one room. Although large enough to have a queensize bed, the sleeping arrangements for the 3rd person was a sofa bed at the opposite end of the room, but with no privacy screening between. As only for one night, we made do on this occasion, but which still felt very awkward, being a couple sharing with another adult male member of the family. This in itself was not ideal, but my real dissatisfaction in relation to the premises/apartment was the lack of sleep from outside noise. Our apartment being Room 101, on the 1st floor and at the front of the building, not only next to a very busy road, with heavy traffic right throughout the night, but the room was also directly opposite a very busy pub with loud music playing until 2AM, at which point, the rowdy patrons could be heard for quite some time before vacating the street. For the reasons mentioned, I would therefore not recommend or book these apartments again. However, I would like to thank the concierge team member who conveyed a very attentive, polite & professional manner on both arrival and checkout.
Excellent”
Cons: Rooms could do with a big clean-some staining on the carpets and walls Room was small (but size was accurately described on website). No table and chairs to eat food Kitchen facilities are basic (no grill/oven). Pros: Room was very quiet Staff very friendly and helpful Close to Battersea Park Good air con
Good but tired”
I stay here often when on business in London as its very convenient and one can often find free parking on the street outside, rare anywhere near the centre. The rooms are looking tired and could really do with a refurb, or at least a little attention. Often a lamp won't work or there's a wonky chair leg, just feel there's not much attention to detail once you're there. But the rooms are large and comfortabe, as are the beds.
Great room as a base for our weekend”
It was better than expected very comfortable - would recommend for a stay in central-ish London
Great apartment”
Its the third time at this hotel. The rooms are huge for London standards and the condition of them is very good. All clean and comfortable. A very recommendable hotel
Excellent location, and everything you need for a great price”
No frills, but good quality accomodation. I had a huge bathroom, and underfloor heating was a treat. Perhaps lacking attention to the finer details - for example, the toaster didn't stay on without putting something on top of the button, and the walk in shower leaked water toward the light fitting(!! There was a different showerhead available so this wasn't a problem) - however, a great location, very comfortable bed, very clean and great space to stay in.
Didnt even stay”
Having dropped my bags in the morning and ensured i didnt get one of the really unpleasant ground floor rooms I went off for the day's business. Returning at around 11pm I was told there were 'unresolvable maintenance issues' with my room (I swear they just double booked my room!) and they instead sent me off to their Hammersmith hotel to stay instead, a 20 minute cab ride (which they paid). I had not choice and the Hammersmith room was larger and well appointed but also on the mai road, and it was a tough choice between shutting the windows to block some of the noise or leave them open to cool the overheated room. Not my best experience of So Hotels.
good”
Everything is nice although around the hotel is nothing much to see.but there's a park, and there's a supermarket, and bus stop are Just like a few steps away from the hotel.easy time get a bus from hotel to the center. the room has provided you some basic kitchenware. you can cook If you like. And the room is nice!
Good spaciuous and clean hotel”
As always in So Park very good stay. Very big and clean rooms with friendly staff. Everything you need in a hotel.
Faulty air-conditioning made the room like a sauna, it ruined our stay.”
We stayed here last year and it was fine, so we were happy to return recently, but this time the air-conditioning in our room was displaying an error message and didn't work properly. It was far too hot, and I mean REALLY HOT. The room averaged 30 degrees Celsius, day and night, windows open or windows shut. The bathroom was even hotter. And on the landing, you were hit by yet hotter air - no thermometer there, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was touching 40 degrees. We couldn't sleep properly. I reported the fault several times, to be told that an "engineer" had been called, but strangely no-one ever came. We were given a fan, which helped a little. We asked for another room, but the hotel was seemingly always full, except for our last day when it was impractical to move. Internet reviews suggest this has been an issue for quite some time - shame on the hotel management who are still happy to cynically let the rooms. We'll not stay there again.
Gem of find in SW London”
Provided the best option for a family with elder children to share this service apt with easy bus access to Central London Staff very helpful , some attention to plumbing and lighting required but will definitely stay again
Home from home”
Staff were amazing and the rooms spacious and facilities adequate. The decor and furniture was run down maybe owing to so many guests mistreating the property otherwise a fairly comfortable stay.
Good”
If you want to stay in battersea near the park (which we did), then this is an ok hotel and I will use it again for friends visiting me. I can see the hotel is advertising for staff and maybe a lack of staff is why things were a little run down (light bulbs not working, lamps missing from the first room). The air con unit stated that it required the filter cleaning. The bathroom and kitchen facilities seemed clean at the cosmetic level at least. We booked through Agoda and selected adults and an infant and paid the displayed rate. When checking in, we were told a cot would be charged extra. I'm not sure the connection between Agoda and the hotel's booking system is perfect. For the rate, the hotel is fine if you want to stay in Battersea.
