Lovely place to stay!”
Initially a little underwhelmed but was quickly charmed by this guest house. Pascal is an excellent host, the room is comfortable and we looked forward to coming home to the guest house after each long day exploring Seoul. Fabulous breakfast!

Comfy traditional stay for Solo Female Traveler!”
First time to try living in Hanok and since I travel alone, thought about finaing a plac to stay for one person. And Hanok provide that room! Even though I mixed up the dates, the owner kindly emailed me back and changed the dates since I could not cancel via Agoda. Thank you for letting me stay!! Great breakfast with the other travellers!

Small and cozy hanok experience ”
Location was abit difficult to find. We got lost and wondering around that area in early morning with very cold weather outside. Just one hanok surrounded by modern building and hidden in small alley. Room was small but just enough for 2 person to sleep. I love the heating system on the floor. Very comfortable esp in cold weather. I dun like the toilet. Is super duper small and outside the room. We hv to come out in cold weather in order to go toilet. The owner Pascal very responsive and friendly. He could speak very well chinese. He prepare nice breakfast for us in the morning. The kitchen is oso very small. If Space and privacy is what you want this hanok does not provide you much.

Not ideal for winter periods and a little overrated”
1 night stay: ok - 2 night stay: overstayed - 3 night stay: no no winter: no no - rest of the seasons: ok We stayed there for 3 nights in January, so it wasn't a good experience due to several factors. The good: location (jongno-3ga was a convenient place to stay if you plan to visit surrounding attractions), and it is 5 mins walk away from the subway and airport limousine bus (2 different stations) The bad: the toilet/bathroom is located outdoor and we weren't able to lock it, there will not be room cleaning service like hotels, facilities were minimal as the place is just warm enough to sleep and maps available for visitors we missed all but 1 breakfast as we couldn't wake up in time for it (8am). and on the only breakfast we had, it was porridge, omelette and some sides. we were afraid of making too much noise as the opening and closing of room doors can be quite noisy to others living in the same house. Overall, to me it is similar to couchsurfing but a paid-couchsurfing.

THEIR HOSPITALITY IS THE BEST”
We stay only for 1 night there because we really want to try Traditional House of Korea The location +/- 5 minutes walking from Jongno 3 Ga Station We would like to say our gratitude to the Host, Pascal We booked double room with shared bathroom, but He let us stay in Room with Bathroom inside with free, because the weather is really cruel that day In the morning, He already prepare our home made Traditional breakfast which is soooo delicious, so that my husband eat double portion Will sure definitely come back to Sodam Hanok Guest house

Nice owner”
Overall the Guesthouse was good, we got the room with the bathroom inside and it was a smart choice because it's really cold in winter. The room was warm enough however the bathroom was a little cold and the hot water needs improvement. The best thing we liked was the breakfast that the owner cooked, food were all homemade and it tasted good, and we could have little chat with other guests.

Nice host”
Great experience staying in traditional korean house, we booked a room with toilet but when we arrived we were told that it was not available anymore, the host did compensate us a little and let us stay in a much smaller room, we accepted it as it was difficult to find another place during their festive holiday in Oct. Overall it is okay.

Warm and cozy”
The triple room was definitely large enough for the two of us and our luggage. The heated floor and heavy comforter kept us very warm during the cold winter night. Pascal cooked us a delicious Korean breakfast in the morning and allowed us to try on his hanbok. It was easiest to communicate with him in Mandarin. Wonderful experience!
