Wonderful hospitality and highly recommended”
I have stayed one night at Sodam Hanok Guesthouse. The host is very kind, and provide warm hospitality. The room is cosy old Korean one room. He also provides a typical Korean breakfast. The place is next to changgyeonggung and jongmyo shrine, so it's convenient for sightseeing. All in all, this place is highly recommended, and I would like to come back again.
THEIR HOSPITALITY IS THE BEST”
We stay only for 1 night there because we really want to try Traditional House of Korea The location +/- 5 minutes walking from Jongno 3 Ga Station We would like to say our gratitude to the Host, Pascal We booked double room with shared bathroom, but He let us stay in Room with Bathroom inside with free, because the weather is really cruel that day In the morning, He already prepare our home made Traditional breakfast which is soooo delicious, so that my husband eat double portion Will sure definitely come back to Sodam Hanok Guest house
The owner is super friendly, he prepare korea traditional breakfast to us, nice chit chatting with him. The hostel is very clean, toilet is clean as well. We enjoy our stay in sodam hanok. The location is very near to the subway, there is also convenient stall nearby.
Comfy traditional stay for Solo Female Traveler!”
First time to try living in Hanok and since I travel alone, thought about finaing a plac to stay for one person. And Hanok provide that room! Even though I mixed up the dates, the owner kindly emailed me back and changed the dates since I could not cancel via Agoda. Thank you for letting me stay!! Great breakfast with the other travellers!
Very nice experience”
The hanok was very clean. The rooms were small but I believe that to be the nature of hanoks. So not an issue. Bathroom appeared to be newly renovated. The breakfast was filling. Very close to the Gyungbokgung palace. Owner was very friendly and spoke English and Chinese.
good location, nice breakfast, friendly host”
It's not easy to find this Guesthouse at the first time. But close to the Gyungbokgung palace and Bukchon Hanok village. The room was quite small and the owner was very nice & friendly. You can ask him any place you're finding in Seoul
I would like to express my sincere thanks to Pascal. We left my notebook computer in the guesthouse after we left Korea, and Pascal was so helpful to send back to us through his friend! We were so touched by this. Thank you! By the way, Pascal speaks both English and Chinese well and we could communicate ver well. The guesthouse is just a few steps from 昌德宮 and is of walking distance to 北村韓屋村，清溪川etc. Highly recommended.
Great stay in sodam hanok guesthouse”
I definitely miss my staying in this hanok. Mr. Pascal and his family are so lovely and kind. Able to know more about traditional Korea culture and make friends with ppl from different country. Will go back to there definitely for the next time, worth every single penny!
Special experience ”
Special experience to stay in hanok house! Room is clean and comfortable. The owner prepared delicious traditional breakfast! I love it so much
we enjoyed our stay so much. We arrived at the mid night on the first day. Pascal greeted us and showed us the room. We love the floor heating in the room. The room is big enough to fit two of us. The breakfast was nice and we enjoyed the chat during the breakfast. We would definitely come back if we visit seoul again.
Cosy and warm”
We stayed there for 2 nights. Pascal - the owner was very nice to us. He recommended some places for us to visit. We only managed to have breakfast one morning as we had to leave very early on the second morning. The breakfast was good and delicious. The second night, there was a gathering at the Hanok. It was very lively and although we spoke barely any Korean, it still felt warm and homely. It's not that near any train station though there are two stations in walkable distance. I would say that it is a bit expensive for what it is. The only reason why we picked it out of the many places available is because the room came with a private bathroom. The price is a little high for a guesthouse. Overall, it was lovely and we had a nice time there.
Excellent experience of traditional Korean culture”
The floor got heat up so you may need to open the door of it's too hot as there is no windows. Excellent location and you could walk to several tourist spots easily. The guesthouse owner is amazing, friendly and easy to approach. He will try to help with anything and made a very good korean breakfast. I will definitely come back.
Lovely place to stay!”
Initially a little underwhelmed but was quickly charmed by this guest house. Pascal is an excellent host, the room is comfortable and we looked forward to coming home to the guest house after each long day exploring Seoul. Fabulous breakfast!
Overall the Guesthouse was good, we got the room with the bathroom inside and it was a smart choice because it's really cold in winter. The room was warm enough however the bathroom was a little cold and the hot water needs improvement. The best thing we liked was the breakfast that the owner cooked, food were all homemade and it tasted good, and we could have little chat with other guests.
Small and cozy hanok experience ”
Location was abit difficult to find. We got lost and wondering around that area in early morning with very cold weather outside. Just one hanok surrounded by modern building and hidden in small alley. Room was small but just enough for 2 person to sleep. I love the heating system on the floor. Very comfortable esp in cold weather. I dun like the toilet. Is super duper small and outside the room. We hv to come out in cold weather in order to go toilet. The owner Pascal very responsive and friendly. He could speak very well chinese. He prepare nice breakfast for us in the morning. The kitchen is oso very small. If Space and privacy is what you want this hanok does not provide you much.
Great place! ”
This is a great place to stay in Seoul. Centrally located for easy access to must see places. The owner is so kind and friendly. I stayed here for 3 night and by the end I felt like part of his family!
Nice and warm accomodation”
The owner is very nice and friendly. I would love to stay in this guesthouse again when I come to South Korea again.
The house is really pretty, it's in a good location, clean, and nice host. Recommended for those who are lookig to stay in hanok house
Just to experience Hanokstay ”
Good location, Very close to Jongno 3 ga station, exit 7, Insa dong area which have many night activities, such as: club, bbq restaurant,...and Bukchon Hanok village, Changgyeonggung, Jongmyo Shrine. The hoster is nice, Korea breakfast is simple yet good but the room is very basic and small (7sqm), thus, quite expensive (70usd) vs. other modern hotel
Nice and Clean Hanok”
A Hanok served Korean style breakfast, the owner is so nice and can speak in Mandarin.
