best staff, best service”

We were there for 3 nights, all the staff in the hotel were super helpful , I would say they have old style of hotel hospitality which you could not find and have those service in most of the hotel now. I love Sofitel Siem Reap so much , everything about this hotel just so great! We had best of best in the world Pad Thai for dinner, had nice massage in the spa, the assistant front office manager Bunsak is so professional and helpful, he made our trip in Siem Reap memorable! The location is great, 15mins by tuk tuk to the old market and pub street, we actually did not want stay a hotel just too near by old market and pub street as too noisy , so Sofitel Siem Reap is perfect location, relaxing and Nice.

Comfortable stay in quality international hotel”

Spacious grounds. Good food.

The hotel provides the quality you'd expect from a Sofitel. We enjoyed the spacious green grounds and the attentive care of the friendly staff. Our room on the third (top) floor was large and comfortable. With the rooms being spread out, the hotel always seemed quiet. We enjoyed the huge range of food available at the buffet breakfast - Western and various types of Asian. Siem Reap town centre and Angkor Wat are a short tuk-tuk ride away.

As Excellent as Ever.”

Fabulous grounds and luxurious pool.

I first stayed here twelve years ago when the Sofitel was completing work to the Lagoon accommodation, it was a terrific hotel then and is even better now ! Situated a five minute ride from the centre of Siem Reap the hotel occupies spacious and verdant grounds well back from the hustle and bustle of the main road. The common parts have been spledidly designed with a comfortable bar, cosy library, business centre and an appealing gift shop. The rooms have stood the test of time remarkably well with a tasteful bathroom and exceedingly comfortable bed, the TV channels are sufficient and the internet works smoothly. The Citadel restaurant offers delicious extensive buffets to suit a wide variety of tastes and the staff service throughout the hotel is exemplary. I commend the predominantly French Management for this efficiently run hotel.

Angkorwat”

Everything was nice in the hotel. The rooms and bathrooms were big. Service was really good.
Can't think of any

We were really glad we booked ourselves in Sofitel. We were a group of 10 people. The hotel easily arranged a tour for us to go to the temples. The price of the tour was very reasonable. They told us they will give us a very good guide and our guide was indeed very good. We really enjoyed our tour of the temples thanks to the guide. Service of the Hotel was 5-star. From the time we checked in to the time we checked out the staff was very accommodating. We had a late evening flight the the Hotel was very kind to extend late check out for us and even a later check out time for 2 rooms out of the 5 rooms we got. This way, we had a place to leave our things in and was able to freshen up before we left. We all left Siem Reap happy and contended.

Timeless Oasis With Delightful Service”

Sprawling quiet grounds, exclusive location, spacious rooms

The hotel is built on a wonderful sprawling compound, literally an oasis in the town area with a large lake in the middle. Access to the rooms is by footpaths constructed over the lake only, making the sojourn a quiet walk with birdsongs in the morning, and a romantic stroll in the evening. The compound is so huge that each facility occupies a building of its own! The included breakfast at the dining wing is rich and satisfying as expected, the only downside being the lack of variety as the spread was the throughout in the three mornings I was there. The ambience of the hotel is more French colonial romance than modern city hip, but this is what you come to expect of a grand dame of a French hotel chain, and befitting of its five-star reputation. Service was great while I was there, and the staff spared no effort to make sure my needs were attended to. When I could not connect to the wi-fi due to a wrong password, the shift manager personally came to the room (after crossing several bridges over the lake!) to troubleshoot the problem. The nightly turn-downs were a pleasant surprise -- I received a different favour every night. Did I mention that the toiletries are from L'Occitane? In summary, I had a swell time in this beautiful hotel and would not hesitate to return there again on future trips, or recommend to anyone who is looking for a charming getaway in the midst of hot rustic Siem Reap.

I would come back again”

Luxurious, clean, friendly staff

We booked ourselves for 4 nights. Resort is midway between Angkor Wat and the Siem Reap city centre which makes it very convenient to travel to both places by Tuk Tuks. Luxurious, clean and friendly staff. My wife has misplaced her camera battery charger and i had emailed the hotel to seek their assistance to retrieve the charger. Although they could not find it (as my wife has dumped it in with her set of dirty clothes and brought it back with us), the hotel was very prompt in getting back on my email.

Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort”

Beautiful hotel and grounds, spacious rooms. It is evident that this hotel is very well managed. The service is excellent. Staff are wonderfully attentive and at the same time discreet. Large swimming pool with nice pool bar. Every meal we had was delicious.
Absolutely no facilities for families with children. Swimming pool a very good size but a tad old fashioned. Spa relatively expensive. Other 5 star hotel's spa nearby slightly cheaper. Golf course 20 kms from hotel and we thought it was within the hotel resort although it was just a presumption - we didnt look into it's exact location when booking

We had a wonderful stay at the Sofitel in Siem Reap although we were dissapointed at the lack of facilities for children (ie nothing apart from the swimming pool). We were very happy with our room. It was spotlessly clean with very nice furniture and a comfortable bed. Perhaps still a little on the expensive side for low season although a full buffet breakfast for 3 was inlcuded in room rate.

Resort Stay and accident ”

Service, Resort facilities, Ambeince

The hotel was beautiful and the staff were excellent. My husband had an accident, fell on the wooden stairs in the hotel as we were leaving early at 5:00am to go to Angkor Wat to watch the sunrise. The management and staff were wonderful and could not have done more to help us following the accident while my husband was in Siem Reap hospital which was a horrific experience. However the stair case, while beautiful, I believe is a safety hazard as it is difficult to see the 3 dimensions of the stairs in the dark wood; especially at 5:00am when it was not well lit. In NZ you would need the stairs to be more defined with either carpet or stair caps. I assume an accident report was written.

Food, Staff and ambiance

Amazing experience at the Sofitel. A big thank you to the team for a wonderful stay. I highly recommend to try the French Restaurant, The Mouhot's dream to anyone staying there, probably the best table in Siem Reap. The staff is very particular about every single details and will make your stay a highly personalized experience.

The setting, the staff, comfort.

Another fabulous stay at this superb resort hotel, situated on the edge of Siem Reap amidst beautiful grounds. Everything about this hotel is first class, the staff are brilliantly trained and charming, the food is terrific, the rooms are exquisite and supremely comfortable and the pool environment is as good as any. I stayed for nine days and enjoyed every minute.

Excellent service!”

Amazing service Good rooms
Food was not to my taste

This is a hotel that understands service. Instead of making you wait at the counter to check in, I checked in while sitting at comfy couches away from the counter while they sorted it all out. As soon as I walked into the hotel, I was offered a drink - this is before I had even checked in. We got money exchanged and taxis organised through the concierge. While showing us to our room, we even asked the concierge whether the driver we had hired to take us around Siem Reap was expensive and asked her for some maps - she didn't have the answer straight away and had to go back to the counter to get the maps. Not long afterwards, she somehow tracked us down at the hotel restaurant and gave us the map and the answer. The rooms of course were good and the facilities were excellent - but what impressed me above all else was their service.

Opulent.”

Staff, comfort, ambience.

I have stayed here since the original opening some fourteen years ago, not much has changed except it gets better somehow. The setting is amazing, the staff are wonderful, the rooms comfortable and Siem Reap is buzzing like never before. Twenty minute ride from the airport, fifteen minutes from the temples. It's not cheap but worth every penny.

Excellent service; Beautiful grounds
The pool is shallow, causing the water to be rather warm

We were very pleased with our stay at the Sofitel Angkor. This is truly a 5 star hotel. The service was outstanding, the food was great, and the entertainment superb. Everyone greets you with a smile. Doors are opened, napkins placed, drinks refilled. It is like you command an army of personal servants without ever asking. The grounds are impeccably clean, lush and breathtakingly beautiful. Our room overlooked the lagoon and was very peaceful. We would stay here again without doubt.

Great locatin and very nice property”

Very comfortable lobby and excellent restaurants. Grounds are nice and well maintained
No 'quiet' area around pool

The hotel is well located close to the town of Siem Reap and on the main road to Ankhor Wat. It is also relatively close to the airport. The room are large and very clean, and there are high end toiletries available for guests. Staff were very attentive and well trained, although I must admint the 'Bonjour' greeting every time I passed a staff member was a bit much. The only complaint I had was that a quiet afternoon lounging by the pool was made less pleasant by all the screaming kids. The hotel should try to provide some sort of adult only pool area for those who want to have a quiet area.

Very nice hotel, with green territory and attentiv”

Green, attentive stuff
Might be a bit more expensive than other options in the town

Long of stay: Stayed for 3 days to visit temples by myself. Location: quite ok - about 10-15 min to the to Angkor Wat by car/ tuk-tuk. Food: Didnt dine at the hotel since the options in the city are cheaper (the dinner set at the restaurant - $35, the cost in the town around $10-15). But the dessert were amazing! (so guess the whole food should be good as well). The stuff very attentive to questions. Internet cable/WiFi - need to pay ($15 per 24h, $3 per hour). Facilities: spa (didnt use), pool, golf field. The territory very romantic (a pond, terraces etc).

The room looks littl bit old but I love swimming pool to tan or swim whatever. the thing that made me be uncomportable was that htl staff came by my room to give us complimentary gifts(foods, beverages etc) many time.. I felt happy at first but it disturbed my rest time. However I recomment this htl!
