Good hotel, area”
located in heart of Sukhumvit(bar area) so it can be a bit messy at night. Compared to other neighborhoods such as Pratunam or Siam, this area feels less safe, though I haven't encounter any problems. The hotel itself is excellent as the service is top notch which made our stay there extremely pleasant.

Always a pleasure”
Great comfy bed. Good breakfast. In between Asoke & Nana train station. Walking distance to Terminal 21, the shopping mall. Always been one of my options when visiting Bangkok. But sometimes, when it gets too busy with big group of tourists, you might not get the attention - unless you are at the Club floor. Price wise, it get's pricier every year though.

Disappointing Experience”
This was my first stay in Sofitel Sukhumvit, and I can only say how disappointed I was with the level of service and professionalism that was displayed throughout my stay. First and foremost, the standard of housekeeping needs to be reassessed for such a premium establishment. I was dismayed to find ashes still littered on the coffee table that I smoked on and even the carpets, which was distinct from doorway after returning from a lunch appointment. The executive housekeeper reassured me that it was a one off incident and apologized profusely with a complimentary set of macaroons. Later that evening, I called for housekeeping services again before I stepped out for dinner. Upon my return, I was in utter shock! I found the laundry bags with the dirty box strewn all over my bed, and my sleeping clothes which I left on the bed littered on the floor. Thinking that my room may have been broken into, I called the security and night manager which promised and investigation. The night manager, Ploy was kind enough to update me early the next morning before her shift ended. Apparently they checked the records and it was a housekeeper who last accessed my room! And that was not the end of my ordeal in Sofitel Sukhumvit. I went up to the Club Millesime after a last minute decision to extend my stay for another 2 nights. The counter was manned by 2 of your employees who was trying to strongly adamant of me staying within the same suite, even when i made a prior request for a lower class of room due to budget constraints. While one was understanding enough, the other club employee threw me a disgusted stare, snorted and stomped off. Is this the elitist culture that Sofitel prides itself? Are guests treated in a different manner based on financial statuses? I am not a difficult guest to deal with; all I expect is the basic respect and level of service that should be availed to all guests alike. Nice hotel, great service”
Hotel does need an update but it's still luxurious. My only issue about my room was the fact that shower room didn't have a good drainage, so the water spilled out of the shower room. Also hotel had a slight sewage smell and room had a slight moldy smell. Otherwise it's close to trains, great customer service, beautiful rooftop lounge with awesome view of the city, pool was nice too, hotel room had complimentary water (tasted good too), provided cotton pads and qtips amongst the usual toiletries (from Loccitane)

Great location and great hotel”
Tip: if they recommend the "executive or club package add on, do not buy it as i feel it is not worth the price. The breakfast on the club lounge is 50% of the food at the main restaurant, so it is not worth it. Besides that Sofitel is one of my favourites

Exceed Expectations ”
Hotel is just a 5 mins walk away fr the subway with great shopping malls like Robinson and T21. Room was really beautiful with a wide selection of pillows and Bed was firm and comfortable. A very good selection of cable tv programs as well. Besides this, they provide unique amenities like "room scent", bubble bath and etc Service fr the Hotel and staff exceed my expectations. Breakfast selection is pretty average. Overall is a great hotel which I will def return again.
