This is a fine, architecturally unique hotel with a gorgeous entrance and an exclusive atmosphere of style and sophistication. Whether you're interested in the junior, split-level suites, or the full suites, these rooms are very cool and modern. The single floor suites are host to flat screen televisions, cool window designs, and lots of space including a bathroom that's very spacious. Have a look at the grotto-like pool area which is a low-light relaxing temperature-controlled spot to relax with a nice waterfall, great for people with a kink in the neck they need to work out. Get around the area in style and try one of the suite rooms and dine in the fine restaurant areas in the evening.
"The bed was very luxurious and I had a great nights sleep."

Next to Munich HBF”
The hotel is on the expensive side compare to what other hotels around Munich is offering. However, it is great for short stay and guests arriving/departing on trains. The hotel is right next door to Munich HBF, great for day tripping around Munich using trains and trams. All staff were friendly and willing to assist or give ideas on where to visit in Munich. The "Wellness" facility is fantastic, especially its designer pool with hidden buttons for spa, cascading waterfall and jets for swim "laps". The only let down is the gym, good for cardio but very few weights. The room is small and functional. Personally, I would only use it for short stay.
Stunning Hotel”
Just a stones throw from Munich's main railway station, the Sofitel Bayerpost was a real surprise. The exterior promised old world charm but inside was a chic, ultra modern hotel with great staff and all the amenities you would expect. Highly recommended.
Hotel next to Munich hauptbahnhof”
Perfect for travellers with heavy suitcases since the hotel is just few steps away from the Munich main Train Station. They have wellness good for relaxation and breakfast has different variety
Great locaition and stylish room”
The nearest hotel to Munich main Station and the room is so stylish. I would strongly recommend for business traveller to stay at here due to the cnveniences of location and transportation.
it was really fun”
it was really fun, and i will re-visit the same hotel again when i come to Munich. the service was very good, and the rooms were super clean.
Hotel with Wonderful Service”
Sofitel provided wonderful service during our stay there. The hotel is beautifully decor and has a sophisticated ambience. It is located just beside the train station thus making it very convenient for travelers arriving by train. The two things that can be improved are better wifi connectivity and better quality food for room service.
Best location and complimentary use of spa”
We arrived by train with two young children and with the hotel only a mere 2 minute walk from the main station, we couldn't have been happier. Friendly staff and modern design decor. Children looked forward to breakfast every morning. The hot chocolate is heavenly. Room is standard and my only complain is the sliding glass door... I prefer my bathroom space to be more private....
perfect place”
Seriously... this hotel is beyond expectation. I was extremely happy the fact I chose this hotel over every other options before. Maybe location wasn't really central like Koegnishof or Kempinski.. But located next to main train station was good enough. Great service, all smiles, spacious place, other than the small thing on the last day as i forgot my jacket and didn't bring key as we check out already. The housekeeper didn't speak a single English and although i can understand she shouldn't open the door for us because of security reason, at least she could try something else to contact the FO/supervisor/anything, so that i don't have to go back down and up and down again by myself just to get the room opened..
Exceptional”
The reception was very spacious with very helpful, friendly staff. Our room was very large and well appointed with everything we needed for our short stay. There were beautiful smelling Hermes toiletries and the shower room which was very luxurious. We opted for the breakfast at 31 euros which did not disappoint as there was every possible breakfast item you could think of. I especially liked the carrot and ginger juice and the beautiful presentation of the breakfast tea. The staff could not do enough for us and were very attentive. We made use of the spa facilities which were also very good, the pool is quite small but was adequate and the sauna and steam rooms were very well appointed. We spent sometime afterwards in the relaxation area in the spa and were truly chilled out. A good base for sightseeing as it is very near to the train station.
Very good”
Check-in was very unprofessional. Advised there was no booking. The person concerned was searching under my christian name. I have stayed at this property multiple times and seem to be put in a smaller room each time. Having spent eleven nights in Sofitel properties this year there seems no loyalty to customers. Beds are very comfortable and the showers are excellent.
Expected Comfort in a Foreign City”
The hotel is located right next to the central train station in Munich making it convienient however not in the nicest of neighbourhoods. Marienplatz is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. The surroundings of the neighbourhood lets down the quality of the hotel. 5 star service and rooms expected and received.
Paradise in a rundown neighborhood”
Beautiful hotel room facilities. Nice spa restaurant nothing to complain about the hotel. The area however is a rundown section of Munich near the train station and overrun with refugees and other unsavory types
Dear Guest, Thank you for your kind feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your time with us and hope to welcome you back soon. Kind regards Ferdinand Hanika Rooms Divisions and Quality Manager
Very nice hotel, great station access”
great deal 3 nights for.price of 2 didn't have to even cross the road to get to station. and this was great since it rained and we went on several rail trilps. luxurious feel to the hotel. spa and pool great fun especially when it was rainy and miserable outside, decided to just stay in one afternoon and hang out here. after this we decided not to go out but had rom service. service excellent and luxurious and no more expensive than a nice restaurant. never done this before but it was fun and a novelty. felt very indulgent sitting in bed with nice food and wine.
Exceptional”
One of our best hotel stays in Europe--ever. Comfortable rooms, friendly and responsive staff, breakfast is AWESOME, facilities are lovely. We will definitely be returning.
Bonjour, thank you for your wonderful feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your time with us and hope to welcome you back soon. Kind Regards Johannes Mayr, Hotel Manager
Suitable for relaxing”
friend of mine sugesting the hotel for me to stay, when i was arrived to the hotel, well i am a litte bit surprised, from the outside it looked like an old architectures with historical time line, but when i entered the place... wow it was beyond of my imagine, so modern. it was so nice to be there, because it felt like lived between two different moment, past and current time. came accross in my mind, someday if i return again, i will take my family to stay there, let them feel what i felt, sharing best moments i had before.
Great location, amazing interior design!”
This hotel is both pleasant on the eyes and comfortable and the staff are all very helpful. The rooms are not the most spacious but they have all necessary requirements and the beds and bathrooms are sufficient. The location next tot he main train station is great if traveling from other countries as it has direct access to the metro and airport networks and the regional trains. Two big thumbs up!
Great Location with nice decorated room”
Very convenient as it situates just outside the central train station within 3 minutes walk. Very charm environment and excellent customer services from the front desk. I arrived early morning at around 7:00 from an early flight and the staff was so kind to offer me a hotel room even well before the check in time. Spa needs early appointment though as it is always full.
Sofitel Munich Bayerpost Hotel”
We had a delightful room and greatly enjoyed their restaurant `"Sophie's". This is a large well renovated hotel (originally a train station) done in tasteful and extravagent style. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful and the location, right next to the train station is ideal for those of us who travel by train.
For the price, they could do a lot better.”
Location is great, next to HBF but you also have to deal with many shady characters along your walk to the train station. Probably most of people stay here don't ride train but the ones who do like myself must feel kinda strange having paid top dollar for accommodation just to find myself mingling with a bunch of scary looking guys getting drunk right off the Hotel premise.
Great, Diverse Hotel”
A very nice hotel with great rooms and a fantastic location. The spa, however, cannot be beat. It is amazing and because they work to cater to a muslim guest population, they spa was only for women from 10pm-midnight. My wife and two older teenage girls LOVED it.
