Best stay ever
Architecture, beautiful night scene, Great food
It was one of the best stay ever. The restaurant at the top floor was excellent. Beautiful interior design with great food served. Excellent service team from concierge to room service. Recommend to enjoy a dinner at the restaurant, with the beautiful Stephansdom night view.

Breathtaking view
The view, quietness, lounge bar.
Everything was great except the le Loft Restaurant Bar staff were absolutely shocking. Absolutely ignored by staffs while trying to make an order. Taking about 30minutes for them to come back to me. Interfereing a conversation by throwing me a check and the bill. I felt like it was an insult. They don't realise when I walk out of the restaurant. For a restaurant in internationally recognised luxury hotel, the staffs could have been better trained.

Nice and clean getaway
Breakfast, comfortable bed and sauna/spa
It was comfortable and nice. Strongly recommend. If the price lowers a bit, I would love to stay more often at Sofitel Vienna. One suggestion is to improve the mini bar. It is a complementary minibar and it has nice nespresso machine. However only water and juice was available. So although they say it is complementary, it is just adding juice in addition to what other hotels already provide: water, coffee and tea. For such nice and convenient coffee, it was a pity that the hotel only provided creamer and not real milk. It's a minor thing, but those small but thoughtful things can actually improve the quality of complementary mini-bar service. It will improve Sofitel's service to a more thoughtful and generous level.

Our stay was truly amazing. Staff are faultless. Barman on rooftop could not do enough to help he was from berlin he reserved a table for drinks because they were booked for dinner Our room was refreshingly modern quite a pleasant surprise after other accommodation in europe was always old The bed was a cloud bed and hard to get out of We loved it here and would stay again

Strong Potential But Lazy Executed
view, design, location
Beautiful hotel but customer service for the price of the hotel is lacking. They weren't able to give me a cable to connect my iphone with the sound system in 4 days although I asked several times. Also asked me to come downstairs for sth instead of coming up and bringing sth to me. Vibe of the place is pretty dead.

Modern hotel with friendly staff
The comfy bed, the wonderful gourmet dinner at Le Loft (highest floor) and the friendly staff
The staff at Sofitel Vienna Stephansdom Hotel were very welcoming, helpful, efficient and attentive to customers' needs. Dining at the restaurant on the highest level (Le Loft) was memorable; there's such a panoramic view of the area. Food and service were great too. The bed was truly very comfortable such that it was difficult getting out of bed each morning. The only snag was the TV. Changing of channels was painfully slow. On our first night, we had some issues with the TV set. But the hotel compensated for this inconvenience with welcoming drinks for two at the bar which is beside the restaurant at the highest level. This little gesture speaks volume of the hotel's efforts in making customers feel welcomed and valued. There is a steak house called El Gaucho, at the ground level just outside the hotel premise but still within the building. This provides another choice for dining beside Le Loft at the highest level.
