Stayed 3D2N at this hostel. It totally gave me a whole new experience about traveling at Taiping. The hostel owner, Tricia, is superbly wonderful, very patient with my queries, great at recommending things to do and to eat at Taiping. We had a great chat and the other guest had a great chat too. The rooms are clean, well maintained, the process to check-in and check-out are fast and simple. The place has wonderful deco for IG. The cafe also serves nice drinks, which I had, sat at the table, do people watching and relax as time passed by. Taiping is a town I would definitely want do go back to visit again. And Sojourn would definitely be my first choice in selecting the accomodation.

Good location”
Walking accessible to most of the museum /attraction and famous food stalls. Building itself already more than 80years old. But they maintain very good 👍🏻 They sell craft beer and handmade kombucha in the house as well. Host is friendly and cute hahahaha!

Absolute delight ”
The owner is very friendly and attentive. The place is small, but very neat and clean. Its location is also perfect for those who like to walk around in old town and lake garden is just within walking distance. Would love to stay here again when made a stop at Taiping next time. The one and only shortcoming is on sound proofing, which is unavoidable due to its close proximity to to the main roads.

Though its a BNB concept, I truly loved the whole environment. One of the cleanest and comfortable place to go to. If you're not used to shared bathrooms, perhaps you wanna reconsider. Otherwise, its one of the places that I would give my full recommendation. And the host, Ms. Tricia is gracious as well as friendly. Surrounded by quite a number of eateries, this is definitely a place to stay in!

Comfortable & Convenient (Just like Home)”
We had the bunk bed room, not so suitable for those who cant climb up a bunk bed, it required some arm strength & most important not afraid of height. Overall, I would rate a 5 star for the location & hospitality vs the price of the stay. Very warm & welcoming couple running this place with much attention taken to make sure each guest can have a comfortable stay. Walking distance to many local eateries & Taiping Lake

Relive what it's like during the 50-60's, but with the latest facilities. Carefully preserved, tastefully crafted. This place is a gem in Taiping old town. Walking distance to transportation & major attractions around town. The eateries directly opposite might take 3 days to try them all.

Clean, quaint (lots of personalized decorations/antiques) & quiet as only the front room of the shop house might have noise from the road. Four toilets w/ 2 having showers. So if full (16 guests), there should at least be enough toilets. Big space under the bed for luggage (key provided), fast Internet, free water/tea/coffee/towel, soap/shampoo provided. The owner is very nice/helpful but you should tell her when you are coming in case she is upstairs/out to lunch etc. Central Taiping is easily walkable & this place is maybe a 15 minute walk from the station.

Hostel had a great vibe and it’s easy to walk to the gardens and zoo and other tourist attractions. The staff, Lin is great, super helpful with everything and has many recommendations on food, where to go, how to go etc. etc. The dorm is nice and comfy too and you have your own pod bed.

Lovely hostel”
I really enjoyed my stay in this smalltown which is unknown to most tourists. The location is very good, close to the lake gardens. The owner was very sweet and helpful and I enjoyed the small chats with her.
