Great place! ”
A great place to stay! The most beautiful beach to be with good accommodation conditions(a.c etc...). The garden room is really cool and you are really close to the village. You can take a boat and bus from hoh tuch for 5$ and get there in an hour. Don't miss out on that white sand turquoise water beach
hotel with great location and clean beach”
Pro: good beach and clear sea water, good service from the staff Cons: limited good served on ghe buffet, don’t have enough staff in f&b team to provide guest a prompt service, food on buffet always running out and take long time to re-fill
Amazing location! Rooms felt homely and very close to beach (which is lovely). Quiet bliss”
Not much to do that interested us but that wasn’t an issue as this was a purely beach relaxing holiday. Rooms next to the beach were great Food and drinks I felt were quite expensive (3x more than Village in some things) Staff do a great job with rubbish on beach, guests could be guided better as to where to put rubbish they find in water
Great friendly staff ”
The property is very well setup and organized in a remote section of Koh Rong island. The staff is very helpful. Restaurant provided delicious food options. Some things to improve - 1) manage the pests and insects all around 2) consider providing pick-up and drop-off service to the ferry point in the island.
At last a nice beach in Cambodia ”
Room are like huts. Not much beyond the resort and the resort is small so not really for long visits. Remember to factor in ferry journey into costings and times. Including transfers and times to and from ferry port. Breakfast lets the place down.
Great Value ”
Loved it. Super attentive staff. Delicious restaurant. My ocean view room was right on the beach, just gorgeous. I was here in May, so it wasn’t too busy. Had no problem getting a sun chair at all. The bars are nice, open good hours. Very small village nearby, felt secluded but not remote. Good WiFi. Marine staff was excellent during boat transfers, even in a storm. Sadly the sea was too rough for us to see the bioluminescent plankton- but I would go here again given the opportunity in a heartbeat. Excellent choice to feel a luxurious beach retreat in Cambodia.
The beach is AMAZING - absolute white sand heaven. The hotel is average. Rooms ok. Wifi good. Food not great. Staff absolutely terrible - slow, clueless and forgetful. Just don’t have any expectations if you stay here.
Awesome place for vacation”
It is an awasome place to spend your vacation and be healed physically and spiritually. Very helpful and responsive staff from the drop off point all the way to the resort. Such a white sand and clean water make your dreams of a best vacation to become true.
All good... but but but restaurant was terrible as we got lunch.... horrile food .. and some waiters was unfriendly... final we found a good restaurant about 300 metres from resort right at pier.. named Sok San long beach restaurant
Just met expectations for it's price”
For the only hotel in the area that has aircon and WiFi, they seem to charge a fair price. However, it is disappointing to discover that our room does not have access to WiFi. This was a bummer as Sok San Beach does not have network coverage. It was also odd that the breakfast spread provided milk and cereal but no bowls to put them in. Overall, the staff were very friendly and helpful but I do feel a little let down by the aforementioned hiccups for the price that I pay.
Beautiful stay ”
Amazing stay at sok san, beach was beautiful. There’s a beach bar which serves food and drink and a restaurant which is open in evening. We weren’t overly keen on the food yet it’s personal preference! The breakfast buffet was great with a lot of choice, staff were friendly and accommodating. If you’re wanting to get around the island it’s rather expensive, we got a scooter taxi for $10 to get to the other side as a boat was $70/100.
Nothing short of amazing on all levels we loved our stay! One note to add I didn’t see anyone mention. If you don’t already have the $25 ferry ticket with them from Sihanoukville (one way price), but you bought a ticket to main ferry terminal on Koh Rong which is to Koh Touch beach ($20 round trip-cheaper btw), you can take a water taxi to Sok San Resort for $7 person. If you ask the resort to pick u up from Koh Touch they charge $85 which is crazy and so ridiculous. They need to change this price it’s nonsense. And we had to leave from Koh Touch to go back so you can find water taxis in the village next to Sok San for $5-7 person.
Great stay at Sok San”
We loved Sok San Beach Resort!! Having your own bungalow on the beach was magnificent. The restaurant was pricey, so we just walked down the beach and ate at the local restaurants. We both had massages (they were average for the price) but relaxing. I would 100% stay here again.
we arrived on Oct. for 3 nights stay, the beach is nice and free towels and sunbed, we tried the massage, was relaxing! before you go to the hotel , has to call them and make sure you are going to the right pier: 65 pier, then take their ferries to the resort, around 40 minutes, and that island you can only go to hotel's restaurant, if you want to experience new stuff for a day trip, Adam adventure is highly recommended！ only takes 30-40 minutes for a motor bike or even faster on a speed boat, $10/person for a bike and $30 for a whole boat , also you can ask them to come back at night time, maybe 5-10$ more expensive for night ride, then you can have a great fun in the adventure area，lots bars and cool ppl! anyway, i enjoyed the holiday so much, however if you ask me what other things the hotel should improve? maybe the WIFI in the room. weak signal..
Idyllic beach at the resort ”
Had a lovely stay at Soksan, this resort is on the massive Soksan Bay. Unfortunately alot of the beach is covered in washed up rubbish, plastic, ropes and even needles. The resort kept their part of the beach clean and most people staying at the resort helped. The, Asian Garden restaurant just opened and the food was good. There was only one other restaurant open in the village called Moon. Staff went out of their way to help us celebrate my sons birthday, which was lovely. There are a few things which could be improved. They ran out of food a couple of times and unless you grabbed what you wanted at breakfast it soon went. They didnt cover fruit or bread or jams/honey so there were lots of flies landing on them. Also staff were slow to take finished plates and glasses so you regularly had to wait for more to be washed. Its quite expensive to get to any other parts of the island so if you really want to get away from it all this is the place to go.
The beach is fantastic and the rooms are acceptable for the location (updating the mattresses would certainly help as they are obviously a bit old). The disappointing aspect of the resort was the restaurant and the service (or lack there of). Unfortunately this could be a wonderful hotel, but the menu was extremely limited, the staff were poorly trained with no interest in serving the customers and there was an obvious lack of management on the floor. It was a nightmare each mealtime just wondering if we could get served. Each night we had to be on full alert just trying to get one of the wait staff to notice we were there so they would give us a menu and serve us. The quality of the food was also very poor and more times than not would come out cold. As there is no other options outside of the resort, they clearly are getting away with this poor service with no care of regard for the customers as they know you are locked in.
Lovely rooms but there is a lot of rubbish that washes up on the beach”
The rooms and beach are beautiful but although its not the hotels fault, there is a lot of rubbish that washes up on the beach. Not as bad as in Sihanoukville but enough that we didn't want the kids swimming in it. The food was great but very hard to buy snack food nearby that is not junk food.
Overpriced Beach ”
Sok San was a fine resort, but the entire beach is covered with trash. It felt like a paradise lost. The room was clean and nice, but small and very overpriced. The entire beach was overpriced. If they want tourists to keep coming, they ought to start organizing beach clean ups on a regular basis. The water was beautiful, but there was too much trash to appreciate it. There are very few places to stay on this Long Beach. Coconut beach was smaller, but the water is just as clear, people clean the trash so it’s pleasant, and the price of accommodation is reasonable.
Beautiful setting though quite overpriced”
Location is perfect, beach is kept clean and it was a pleasure to walk the white sands any hour. I am well aware that there are not that much similar quality hotels on the island (although they are coming), however the price did not do it justice - the room was quite average, cleaning had to be reminded, bathroom had a sewer smell and towels were changed only after second reminder. Sun loungers were permanently occupied (although the staff stresses that no "reservation" of the sunbeds is allowed, in reality lonely towels were pretty much having sunbath), one day even our sun loungers that were supposed to be attached to the room had disappeared. Irrespective of the above, the view from the hotel and its beach is unbeatable.
