Very basic and rustic”
Location is fine; our bungalow faced the lagoon and we had a quiet night's rest. Bed was very comfortable. A hop, skip and a jump to be on the beach. There is no wifi. For everyone - Sok San Long Beach itself is a great place to stay - it is quiet, with electricity for only a few hours a day and wifi is extremely limited everywhere. Enjoy it for the serenity and the opportunity to meet and make new friends.

It's ok”
Location
It was an ok place. If you have the room out the front, it's good. Otherwise it would be just ok. Get mosquito repellent.

Beautiful beach yet minimal accomodation”
beach front location, electricity off at 10 pm
The beach is beautiful however the bungalow is a very rustic cabin with wood floors and walls. The room had a toilet yet it was gravity feed by you pouring water into it. There were no mirrors or even hooks to hang your clothes. They provided mosquito nets over the beds but no toilet paper. The electricity only runs from roughly 6 pm to 10 pm at night. Internet is not available at this location so if you need to get access, go visit another resort or restaurant. They have food but it is not included in the room price and is extra. Again, this is a very, very basic minimal accommodation and you are paying to be on a beautiful beach.

It's secluded, peaceful and quiet.
It's not a bad stay by any means, however $20 per night and a 2.5hour trek from the speed boat drop off with not water taxis in low season is hard to justify. Walk across the lagoon to reach the waterfalls, you won't regret it!

Rustic and beautiful”
Stunning location, laid back atmosphere, giant gecko!
The Sok San Longbeach Bungalows (not to be confused with the Sok San Beach Bungalows and Sok San New Beach Bungalows which are both nearby) provided an excellent base camp for exploring this remote and quiet side of Sok San. We stayed there for 4 nights. The beach cannot be beat. You have to walk to the southern side of the beach to get the best sunset views but there is a bar/restaurant down there that can serve you beers or dinner while you relax and take it all in. Then you can watch for blue phosphorescent sparkles in the waves as you head back after sunset. One day we wandered into the interior of the island for early morning bird watching and kayaked in the afternoon. Another day we headed north across the rickety plank bridge and followed a tiny trail to get to a smaller beach that led us to awesome snorkeling. We saw so many amazing fish species, colorful giant clams, and even a few nudibranches. The Longbeach Bungalows provided us with decent food and drinks at reasonable prices and pointed us in the right direction for kayak and snorkeling rentals (Tip: Go to the Sok San Beach Bungalows for snorkeling gear at $2/day. Avoid the overpriced French resort whenever possible). All of the hotels on this beach have comfy papazan chairs and lovely patios for lounging and reading during the hottest part of the day and the Longbeach Bungalows are no exception. The rooms may be slightly more rustic than some of the other hotels but the beds are on par with other budget hotels throughout Cambodia and are pretty comfy. Just be prepared to shower in the afternoon when it's warmest outside since there is no hot water and the electricity is limited on the island. We were lucky and had an enormous gecko friend visit us every evening in our bungalow, but he was very polite and always stayed on the ceiling. If you are the adventurous type, don't hesitate to book a room here. And remember to bring a great book!

Could find better value for the same price in LBch”
Few hundred meters from beautiful white sand and pristine water beach.
We have been welcomed by drunk employees. Generator which supposed to be on during the night was working from 7AM up to midnight (extremely noisy). Area is dirty, bad smells are coming out from under the deck. Construction is taking place nearby. No leisure activities offered during the 5 days stay. Some of the employeses were friendly and smiling all the time.

disaster! don't make the same mistake...”
none
it was horrible. in points: 1. problem to arrange transport to island. hard to make phone to anybody... no email contact... 2. bungalows are in a fishing village - dirty shore and beaches and very loud in the morning... lot of rubbish... 3. service very rude and unhelpful. lie to us every time. 4. bungalows are dirty, our was without shower (only pipe)... wifi is stolen from the other resort (and usually not work). lot of rats. 5. lie about availability - we book different bungalow then we get. it was horrible stay. we can't recommend this place in any manner. lots of tourists spend there only one night cause... if you came late there is no possibility to leave island!
