"Not only is the hotel beautiful, the breakfast buffet amazing, the pool spectacular, it is the staff that make this place so warm and personal."

The location allowed us to walk to different restaurants and was a short ride to Pub Street and the airport.

Sokha Angkor Resort is a large scale, full-service resort. The waterfall behind the swimming pool is a center piece of the resort that many balconies of the deluxe rooms face. This could be the only resort with a saltwater swimming pool that is friendly to the skin and eyes. The Caribbean-like atmosphere throughout the resort keeps you relaxed. There is everything you would expect from an upscale resort, including Wi-Fi or broadband internet access in all rooms and public areas, a buffet restaurant, a fine dining room, a Japanese restaurant with a sushi bar and Teppanyaki, an Irish sports bar with activities, a luxurious spa with a sauna, hot and cold whirlpool, business center, gym, and a beauty salon. Sokha Angkor Resort is also a conference hotel that has the largest ballroom in town with numerous smaller function rooms catering to events for up to 400 people.

Grreat Hotel”
My wife and I went to Siem Reap and stayed at the Mekong Angkor Palace Hotel, which was a very nice place for the price (see my review). Our last 2 nights were spent at the Sokha Angkor Resort and now we wished it would have been longer. The location is great as you can get anywhere by foot or a $1 tuk tuk ride. The room we got had a pool view with balcony, which I suggest you get as the street view rooms don't have balconies. Breakfast was included and we took full advantage of the hotel's great breakfast, which just like the rest of the hotel had great service. You won't be disappointed if you stay here.
Exceptional in every way.”
We have travelled to many different countries, and stayed in all types of accommodation over the years, but this hotel, The Sokha Angkor Resort, is by far, The Best Hotel we've ever stayed at. The minute you walk in the door you feel it, the ambience is very welcoming, the Staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you, the food was great, and the place was spotlessly clean. The pool area is like an Oasis, and it has a great old world charm, even though it's only 11 years old. I can't say enough good things about this Hotel, except, if you get the chance, treat yourself to a few days there, you will be glad you did, we didn't want to leave, and I for one will definitely be staying there again on my next visit to Siem Reap.
We were made to feel valued and special as guests”
We had a very pleasant stay at the Sokha Angkor Resort. The staff made us feel very valued and special throughout our stay. The staff were constantly smiling and helpful, and eager to make our stay pleasurable. The bedroom was spacious and very comfortable. We would certainly stay at the Sokha again should we return to Siem Reap in the future. We highly recommend the hotel to anyone visiting the area.
Relaxing quiet hotel - great for the price ..”
Sokha Angkor is located 15 mins from airport and 15/20 mins from temple area by tuk-tuk. You can rent a tuk-tuk for around $15us per day. Pass for the temples can be bought at hotel to save time. Very welcoming staff and managers are always eager to help you with anything. Housekeeping services are second to none. Bedroom was exceptionally clean and comfortable for adults and kids. Breakfast was very good with something for everyone - my 6 year old enjoyed the noodle soup , egg station is one of the better ones. The perfect hotel for relaxing after hitting the temple trails of Siem Reap. Will definately stay here again.
Amzaing hotel and location”
We travelled with a group of 3 couples through Vietnam and Cambodia for 3 weeks and Siem Reap and the Sokha Angkor Resort were one of the highlights of our trip. We all had great rooms that were large with huge beds. They even have a pillow menu. Our room was serviced twice a day which was great. All of the staff made us feel like royalty. The breakfast which was included with our rooms was fantastic as was the pool and loungers. Hard to fault.
Nice location and very clean”
I booked 3 deluxe rooms overlooking the pool. My sibling and dad really enjoyed the place. Everything was in order when we check-in. Sokha has a very good location. We were able to go to the tour sites by just riding the tuktuks. People in Siem Reap were so kind and very accomodating. Buffet breakfast at the hotel was wonderful. Big and wide selection of food. They would always refill the serving trays. Will surely stay in Sokha again and i will tell all my friends who will be visiting Siem Reap to book in your hotel. Thank you sooo much.
Excellent Service!”
My colleague and I had a great stay at Sokha. The staff were always attentive and ready with a smile and greeting when they came upon any hotel guest. The lobby of the hotel exuded a very serene feeling with its light background music at the lobby which I loved very much. I was very taken up with the hotel's pillow menu as this was a first for me. I had never stayed at hotels which provided this additional service for me. Besides that, the hotel even provided the service of turning down the guest beds at night. The staff would not only turn down the bed, but will also tidy up the bathroom and replenish the bottled drinking water if necessary. The best was the hotel also provided nightly treats/ snack throughout my stay. I felt very pampered and was sad when it was time for me to head back to Malaysia. I will definitely return to stay at Sokha when I visit Siem Reap next.
Wonderful Experience”
Our time at the Sokha Angkor Resort was terrific. It started off with a friendly pick-up at the airport by a professional staff, and lasted for the better part of a week. We truly had a positive experience visiting Siem Reap and much of that had to do with our stay at the hotel. I would definitely stay there again.
Five star hotel with excellent facilities”
One of the top hotels in Siem Reap, and owned by the same businessman who has the licence to operate the Angkor ticketing process. The hotel is a spacious haven and the staff all very smiley and professional. I had a huge city view facing room. Although the hotel said it had wifi, in fact the city-facing rooms don't have it, you have to connect up to get Internet access, which is fine if you have a laptop. Ipad users don't despair though, you can pick up wifi everywhere else, including the lobby, pool area and restaurants. The hotel is so huge that I sat happily in the first floor seating area above the lobby and skyped away undisturbed. I ate in the restaurant every night, and enjoyed trying Cambodian food. If you're a solo traveller, then this hotel is also a good option. I rarely travel solo, but enjoyed my stay a lot. Definitely recommended.
Great place to stay”
The only things to see in Angkor and Siem Reap are the temples and the markets. It was very nice to have a 5-star resort to retreat to afterwards. We went during the off-season (September--rainy season), and the rates were so exceptional that we got a Club Suite instead of the regular room. We popped our heads into a regular room, and it was still nice, but it was half the size of our suite. The breakfast buffet was really good with made-to-order omelettes and made-to-order noodle bowls. Juices, breads, fruits, and myriad western-style breakfast foods were plentiful and of good quality. The salt water pool was clean and enjoyable to swim in (with two waterfalls). The hotel is between the temples and the markets, and a tuk tuk ride ($2) is recommended over walking. We definitely recommend this hotel and would come here again.
Nice city-centre hotel with big rooms”
We stayed at the Sokha in October with my 2 kids aged 4 & 6. We had a family (interconnecting) room which was large and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is clearly geared towards the coach parties of Japanese/Chinese/Korean guests that make up the majority of the hotel's (and indeed Siem Reap's) guests but there was plenty there for the rest of us. The kids loved the large pool. It was a 15 min drive from the airport and a short walk / tuk-tuk ride from everything in Siem Reap. The staff all spoke English. The bar/cafe had a good bakery counter which was very useful for picking up snacks for the kids. We were a bit worried about taking the kids to Siem Reap but we had a great holiday.
Great international level hotel”
stayed here for 2 nights and the hotel was better than we expected. many visiting foreign ministers and dignitaries stayed in the hotel when in siem reap. rooms are spacious, clean. towels were as clean as you can get (personally i have never seen towels as clean as in sokha angkor).
Best of the Sokha Hotels in Cambodia”
we thoroughly enjoyed our time at sokha angkor resort and it is the best of the three sokha hotels/resorts currently in cambodia (the other two are in sihanoukville and phnom penh). sokha angkor resort has a fantastic ambience, the rooms are spacious, an excellent swimming pool and a terrific buffet breakfast with daily menu variations. we were there for new year's eve and the gala dinner organised by the hotel was spectacular. it was 'compulsory' for all guests booked in over new year's eve(!) we had some reservations regarding this but am pleased to report that we were very pleased we didn't try to organise our own thing.
Top class hotel and great service!”
Sokha Angkor Resort is the best hotel we have ever stayed as our daily towels have always been fairly new if not new and very white. The bathroom necessities are all there and could not asked for anything more. Bed is king size and enormous and very comfortable and providing pillows that suits your needs. What a top class hotel and the staff in the 3 restaurants are all cheerful, friendly and absolutely helpful in more ways than one. The meals are just a bit pricey. Buffet breakfast is plentiful and if you are unable to eat and tour starts early, you can ask for some take-away and more than happy to assist. I would recommend this very highly to anyone as it will not disappoint you. But, ask for a room with the swimming pool view as free wi-fi will be provided otherwise, rooms with city views do not have wi-fi but they have an internet room and wi-fi in the lounge, restaurants and swimming pool areas. If taking the tuk tuk, ask for Sarou with S13 tuk tuk as he is a very nice and gentle person.
Relaxing end to stay in Siem Reap”
We stayed here for two nights at the end of our eight night stay in Siem Reap. We liked the location of the hotel... it was fairly central to the Night Market and Pub Street, but away from the craziness to provide a calm and relaxing escape. The staff were very attentive and friendly, and there were always towels by the pool and attendants around to take drink orders. Of course the prices are that of a 5-star hotel, but there's a mini mart close by to stock up on drinks & snacks for half the price of the mini bar. I splurged and did the Summer Spa Package, a 2.5 hour scrub/wrap/massage treatment which was wonderful... there's also a beauty salon for haircuts and styles too. Our room was wonderful- comfortable bed, nice TV with western channels, and great amenities. The breakfast had a vast selection with a nice noodle bar and omelette station... really delicious choices! This was a great stay and we would definitely recommend to others!
THE BEST”
We've stayed at another 5 star hotel in Siem Reap and it does not compare to Sokha. We will definitely stay with Sokha next time around. IF YOURE PLANNING TO GO DURING KHMER NEW YEAR BOOK IN EARLY BECAUSE THIS HOTEL GETS BOOKED OUT FAST! The room was superb and clean, really felt comfortable! Staff were so polite and great. Food - best breakfast buffet I've been to.
Oasis in Siem Reap”
One of our favourite things about this place was definetly the pool! The pool area is just stunning. The staff are all a real joy to talk to, Cambodians are very friendly and have such beautiful smiles. The pool was such a welcome addition after our absolutely fantastic and memorable day exploring the Anchor Watt temples. My husband and I really recommend taking a Tuk Tuk to the temples - you can arrange this through the hotel and the drivers are just lovely. We found the taxi driver from the airport to be unpleasant, this was nothing at all to do with the hotel - but the taxi driver really pulled on the heartstrings and we felt he tried to take advantage of our giving nature, so we would recommend Tuk Tuks in an instant. It's the best way to see Siem Reap town centre and the temples. The only drawback about this place, (and it is a small drawback) is the service charges. Most tourists are happy to pay a higher price if they know ALL taxes are included, but there were about three separate charges and taxes added on to each of our bills when eating at the absolutely AMAZING restaurant and ordering meals by the pool. Just be wary of it, and if you receive a voucher from staff, you need to use it for each meal transaction at the hotel. We thought we could use it at the end, and the staff did say a discount had been applied, but we weren't convinced as we only remembered seeing service charges on each receipt, and the total invoice didn't show any discounts either. Other than the service charges, this place is amazing and we were thrilled to spend three nights here.... our time here was truly relaxing. Thankyou.
Wow, Wow, Wow”
Beautiful, beautiful modern designed resort about a 10 minute drive from Siem Reap airport. Breakfast buffet the best we've had in Asia. The cooked to order noodles were fabulous. We couldn't wait to eat breakfast! Used the pool after visiting Angkor temple ruins during day. So relaxing and refreshing. An English-syled pub nightclub on lower level has friendly Philipino, live entertainment. Audience invited to sing their favorite songs. Enjoyed cocktails and music each night before retiring. Resort car to/from airport was free. Lounge is open to pool and very comfortable for afternoon relaxing. Room and bathroom large with comfortable bed overlooking pool.
Sensational hotel!”
This hotel once you arrive looks very nice and you hope what you see inside matches that. This a hotel that does that and more. Although there was red carpet and airport style security on arrival as the Chinese president Hu Jintao was also staying there, the rooms were massive, the pool sensational and the service exceptional. The only downside was when I went and ordered lunch at the bistro for a buffet lunch and to find out afterwards that the price for that and a freshly squeezed orange juice was $29US was pretty ridiculous I thought. Then again I could have checked the price beforehand but if you head into town into Pub Street you could get an exceptional meal and drink for about $5US. The salt water pool was great and good to not have the chlorine irritation in the eyes most pools give you. The gardens surrounding and the waterfalls were a trademark feature of the hotel I thought and provided a great view from the balcony of my 4th floor room. For the cost of $110 a night, it was well worth splashing out the extra money to really splurge in Siem Reap.
A lovely hotel”
The Sokha Hotel in Siem Reap provides wonderful relaxation after seeing the sites. The pool sculptures are modeled after the temples of Angkor Wat, and this mimicry, albeit a bit kitschy, retains the atmosphere in a quite delightful way.
