Very good
Location rating score
Fortunately, the hotel finally repaired the TV on the last day, also used the massage service, which is the most comfortable and relaxed one night

Great Refreshing Stay”
We have lived in Phnom Penh for nearly 7 years now and enjoy being able to get away for some rest and relaxation. Our stay at the Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel was wonderful. We have stayed at their other Sokha Hotels in Seam Reap and Sihanoukville and really enjoyed them too. Therefore, it was an easy decision to choose staying at the Sokha in Phnom Penh. The hotel is absolutely beautiful with wonderfully comfortable rooms. We enjoyed many great meals in their various restaurants and also had room service. All the staff were very polite and enjoyed serving us. Our stay was fantastic and I would highly recommend this hotel. Furthermore, my husband and I will plan to stay as this beautiful resort again!
Great hotel, great services”
This is our first time staying at this hotel. It's so beautiful place from inside to outside and I can't say enough about this hotel. There are 20 floors at this hotel. Amazing decoration with lots of design and textures on the lobby. The rooms are very big, very fancy and clean. Very nice view when you go on the top of the floor, you can see everything in the city of Phnom Penh. The foods are so delicious especially the buffet breakfast, look very fresh and well prepared. I would love to stay again and the next time I visit Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
nice people and facility”
we stayed for 2days. the staff and facility was really good. if i visit phnom penh, i will definitely stay sokha again. but i was so sad that south korea's flag was not there ( in front of the building) i wish you could have a korean national flag. Thank you
Excellent”
We stay in Phnom Penh quite a bit and enjoyed being on the quiet side of the river for a change. Our spacious room, huge pool, and the courteous staff made our stay memorable. The complimentary ferry to the casino and commercial side of the river was a plus. The hotel was a good value through our promotional price through Agoda.
Dear William, Greetings from Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel & Residence! Thank you for taking your time to write us about your experience. We were thrilled to know that you enjoyed our facilities and satisfied with the service provided by our hotel staff. While hoping to welcome you again in the near future. Best Regards, Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel & Residence
Only with the look of five stars”
Internet is just horrible. The Internet is open access meaning anyone nearby can just use the Internet making the internet unusuable. Internet connection drop all the time. If you are a business traveler, be prepare to use your mobile phone to download your email. Their IT has no idea how to help other than rebooting their access point. Never expect your internet connection to be stable. On the last day of stay, I booked a taxi and a morning call at five in the morning. When asked about the price the taxi, front desk said it will be a metered taxi and cost will be around USD8.00. Woke up in the next morning with a morning call, and at the front desk the cashier asked if I want the taxi to be charged to the room. I said how much would that be? They said same price if pay with the room or to the taxi driver for USD30.00 OMG! at five in the morning and no car, I was opted to pay. This hotel did have huge investment in the making and the two restaurant on 19th floor are nice but at Phnom Penh, there are much better choice. It is a new hotel but I have been with sokha at Sihanoukville Mohari Water Chalet about a year ago and the Internet is just as horrible. It seems their management does not think Internet is all that important. Maybe so when I am at a resort, but during business trip, not having a basic working Internet service is a death sentence!
Excellent helpful staff, great pool”
This was our second stay at the Sokha Phnom Pehn and enjoyed it as much as the first time. I had a massage this time at the spa and Lin was an excellent masseuse. We also enjoyed our meals at the roof top restaurant. The wait staff and manager provided friendly, professional, attentive service. We love the pool. Not sure why there is never more than 2 or 3 other people at the pool but it was lovely and warm, clean and the largest pool we have ever had the opportunity to enjoy.
Outstanding River Views”
We had a wonderful, quiet, and short stay at the hotel. I was worried we would have trouble getting to destinations in Phnom Penh due to being across the River from most of the sights, but it ends up that we had little trouble.
Absolutely fabulous”
We stayed at the Sokha for 1 week. It was a brilliant hotel to stay in and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. I really cannot say one bad thing about the hotel. The breakfast was plentiful and the restaurants were top class, as was room service. i would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to my friends and hope to stay there again.
Cold water Hotel”
One of the newest Hotels in Phnom Penh. I have been watching the construction of this hotel for the past few years, so was keen to have the opportunity to stay here. Sadly, it was a major disappointment. Its grandeur and opulence is appealing, with a grand piano being played, immaculately dressed staff, and hallways wide enough to drive a Hummer down. But what I really wanted after travelling all day was a hot shower, or a least a warm one. No. Both taps produce cold water. Running the shower for a full five minutes, and nothing but cold water. The hand basin had a large split, and leaked all over the floor. Sokha Hotel you're all show, with little attention paid to the basic needs. Suffice it to say, I checked out the following morning. Value for money, there are better Hotels to be had.
Stuffy staff but great facilities”
My stay at the Sokha would have been wonderful if it had not been for the stuffy staff, asking us questions at every turn and counting heads at breakfast and basically making us feel like prisoners. Maybe it is because this hotel has not even been open a year-I don't know, but I don't like feeling like I can't enjoy the place because I might take an extra packet of sugar in my tea. Other than that, the rooms are beautiful with a nice but muddy view of the river, and the pool is undeniably the largest I've ever seen. It has a great shallow end for small children plus a baby pool-you can't beat it. The location is not ideal for folks wanting to see Phnom Penh-it's way across the river and you cannot walk to the city, but if you're not from Cambodia and you don't mind sitting in a tuk tuk for a bit, it's fine.
A fine hotel”
This is one of the finest hotels Ive stayed in. Cant really fault it apart from being so big. Everything is hugh, especially the pool which seems to be twice the size of an Olympic pool. A football field could easily fit inside the lobby. Sokha PP was great and I will stay there again.
Bob”
Massive let down, will be great when everything is open, but gym, swimming pool and jaccuzi not ready for another few weeks so nothing to do,nothing above the 5th floor open and card machine not working so had to go out to find a cash machine to pay my $5 bill ! , I've no doubt when it finished it will one of the best to stay in phnom penh, pool is huge, have stayed many times in Sokha hotels and will be back to try when completed
Special ”
We enjoyed our stay at Sokha PP. Service was delightful, the spaces are both welcoming and spacious. The rooms themselves are thoughtfully fitted out, with the little touches making it most accomodating.
Luxury!”
The only thing I liked about the chaotic Phnom Penh was this hotel. I had a very bad experience during my vacation so booking in this hotel was a great decision Pros: Great lobby and security Yummy foods! Friendly staff nice view from your room window concierge was good too Cons A little bit hard to communicate Some parts of the hotel are very old Please change the gym equipment. They smell bad and are rusty
Hotel with a view”
This hotel is not in the state of fully completion but functionable. The gym , steam and dry sauna ,massages , swimming pool, roof top bar and restaurants are in operation. All rooms have full unblocked panoramic view of rivers and Phnom Penh cityscape even in the toilet. Staffs are smiling and helpful.
Sokha Review”
Not satisfactory - minor problem with reservation - staff more interested in telling me I would have to pay any additional charges instead of trying to resolve the situation. Room was large but sparsely furnished - felt empty and uninviting. Second night no hot water Shower drain blocked and flooded bathroom every day Bell staff put another couple in tuk-tuk we called - waited 40 minuets for another tuk-tuk that never came. Staff could not get a taxi. Staff tried to have us use the hotel shuttle to go to the night market instead of making transportation arrangements so we could go to our desired destination. Champa Cafe and buffet have limited options and the food quality is average at best. In the early afternoon staff was reluctant to serve us in the Champa Cafe and kept trying to have us use the poolside buffet. Hotel does not a sundry/notions retail store - no way to get incidentals, snacks or even water. Location is remote and there are no stores or markets within walking distance. This was our second visit to the Sokha Phnom Penh and we have stayed at the Sokha Beach Resort in Sihanouk Ville - we will not be staying at any Sokha property in the future.
Good but far”
Good hotel but its far away from main attraction. I liked it for the reason its beand new at the time. Its now very expensive, for this hotel today's price there are many other great hotels in the heart of phonm penh at a better rate. I wouldnt stay here again unless the price come down
Beautiful rooms and pool”
On the whole we had a great stay. Highlights were the fantastically modern, clean and comfortable rooms (though it was hard to regulate the shower temperature), the pool (though service was often slow / non-existent), the rooftop drinking / dining options, and the excellent buffet breakfast (with proper coffee!). Would definitely stay again for the $105 net we paid on Agoda. If it were to rise substantially more than this, we may opt for a more centrally located boutique option (BKK1 or Riverside) for a similar price. Poolside drinks and snacks are way overpriced ($11++ for a club sandwich) and really should not be in the price range of the Sofitel/Intercon/Raffles. A reduction here would certainly make them more competitive alongside the big three. Room for improvement but generally very good.
Opulent Hotel with great views”
Good for a special treat. Away from hussle and bussle of city centre with some great views of the rivers and night lights of Phnom Penh. Prices are a bit high for food and extras so beware, 5 star really means 5 star here.
Excellent Hotel with incredibly friendly staff”
I really loved this hotel. The rooms, service and friendliness of the staff was top notch. I would very much recommend anyone to stay at this fine hotel. The only issue of course is the distance from the airport. The hotel charged us around $30 for booking a taxi from the hotel to the airport and it took us around 40 minutes to get there with some busy traffic moments. Definitely plan ahead if you have a busy schedule and early flight.
