A place to remember”
Great to stay in Solina, i love their rooms, the ambience was nice and the facilities, most especially their pool. Medyo na disturb lang kami ng pusang gala, when we have our candle light Dinner in front of our room, halos sumampa na sa table namin ang pusa, so ang ending sa kwarto kami kumain kasi ayaw umalis ng pusa at pabalik pabalik sa ilalim ng table namin at akmang tatalon sa table, so I get very
Hey there, Melanie. Thank you for staying with us at Solina and for your kind words about our facilities. We're glad you enjoyed our pool. And we're sorry about the over-eager cat that intruded your dinner. We're definitely gonna address the situation so that you can enjoy a more peaceful candlelight dinner next time we have you here. Sending positive vibes, Daren of Solina
We arrived at the resort around 8:30 am and was given welcome drinks as we checked in. Upon inquiry the front desk personnel gave us a number for their Islas de Gigantes tour tie up. When we got back around 4pm we took a golf cart driven by their staff going to our cabin and was impressed by the facilities around the resort. Walked down to the pool and beach area and found the place very pleasant. Pool water was warm and calming. Dinner came and we scanned the menu and found it very affordable. We then booked a massage for 2 and was very happy and satisfied with our therapists. I would recommend this resort to my friends and would love to come back again in the near future.
Hi Maria, Thank you for leaving such a nice review! We are glad that you and family loved our services, our dedicated staff will be pleased to learn of your high praise. They work very diligently and it will provide them with great encouragement to keep doing what they are doing. We continue to expand our services and facilities so you can expect more when you return for another well-deserved trip. Sending positive vibes, Daren of Solina
The best hotel in the area”
We explored Isla de Gigantes in northern Iloilo and this is the only decent hotel in the area. Staff in the restaurant is excellent. Booked the island hopping tour with the hotel and they provided an excellent guide. However, due to some unknown reasons the front desk failed to arrange the return transport in a timely fashion and we have to wait for an hour at the port. Aside from this, the hotel is great.
Hi Ric, Wow, thank you for your positive review and recommendation! From staff to management, we appreciate you taking the time to send us love over the reviews section. :) We would also like to apologize about the hassle you experienced during the return to the resort from your Islas de Gigantes trip. We hope to see you again for another summer adventure! Sending positive vibes, Daren of Solina
The staff are very courteous and accommodating. In fact when the service staff noticed that the new paint smells in our room they immediately transferred us to another room and upgraded us to a suite room.
Hi, Bernadette! We appreciate anecdotes like this from guests like you. Your review encapsulated the lengths our staff would go to ensure that you have a wonderful stay. See you next time! Sending positive vibes, Daren of Solina
We had fun with my friends, the food was sumptuous love the aglio pasta, our room was super clear, the only downfall was the beach they didn't bother to clean it up. I was so disappointed that a lot of garbages(plastics) near the shore.😕😣
Hi Ayesha, Happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us, especially about the aglio pasta and the clean room! 😍 While the beachside is open to the public and well beyond our control, we try our very best to take part in cleaning it and making sure your stay will be worth it! We sure hope to see you again, Ayesha! Sending positive vibes, Daren of Solina
One of the Best”
The place is very quiet and relaxing. Everything that you need for an ideal vacation is in Solina. All staff are very friendly. Rooms, pool, restaurant, surrounding - everything are clean. I love their pool jacuzzi. Their hawaiian pizza is the best i have tasted so far because tje mozzarella cheese is sooo generous. Trees and plants are all over. Room rates are very reasonable vis a vis the amenities and service. They are using metal straw for their drinks in the restaurant which is good for the environment. Staying in Solina will complete your Gigantes Island getaway. Highly recommended. The long travel from Manila is worth it.
Hi, Maricel! You're one of our ideal guests! We love how much detail you've shared in telling the story of your experience at Solina, so much that we can almost taste the mozzarella cheese on the pizza you had. Thank you too for giving emphasis to our environmental advocacy, with our use of metal straws. We would be glad to have you again here and hear from you about what vivid story you'll share about our humble resort. Thanks again! Sending positive vibes, Daren of Solina P.S. We really love it that you've reviewed our resort across many sites! We'd be more than happy to have you again here at Solina!
Great Glamping Experience”
I love every inch of this place! It’s surrounded by so many trees and plants and so near the ocean. Our cabin tent is filled with so much sunlight in the morning and is very unique yet comfortable. Their breakfast is also something to look forward to. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends going in to Carles/Ilo-Ilo.
Hi Maria Francesca, We're blown away with your comment! We're proud of our work and we continue to serve our guests with pride and joy. Having to know you enjoyed your glamping (with a lengthy recommendation at that!) makes our heart giddy! :) We hope to see you agaiin soon, Maria! 😍 Sending positive vibes, Daren of Solina
One of the best in Carles, Iloilo”
Pros: Nice and unique design/ Clean rooms; Love the Architecture; Most of the staff are friendly and accommodating (except for: see cons) esp the gentleman who showed us to our room upon arrival, he welcomed us warmly. Transport around the location is prompt and very convenient. Cons: While I was waiting patiently for my room key in the restaurant lobby, I decided to go directly in the counter rather than raising my hand for the menu, to order refreshment, the female restaurant desk officer was the only one who notice me and asked me "How can I help you ma'am?". I asked if there are available drinks
Hi, Rizah! thank you for appreciating the facilities and staff during your stay at Solina. We've let the gentleman know that you appreciate his warm hospitality during your stay. We've also let the restaurant staff know about your experience, and on behalf of the staff, we want to assure you that you'll get better service for your next visit with us :) Hope to see you again! Sending positive vibes, Daren of Solina
Good for one time visit only”
The location is very good because it is only a few minutes away from the port going to Gigantes. Rooms are very comfortable especially the villas. The cabin though much smaller is a very good value for money. All the staff in the dining area were nice (except for one named Rodney). Housekeeping service is very, very, very slow, we had to call at least 3 times whenever we requested for something. The biggest deterrent for me to recommend this place (especially for the out of own visitors who do not have immediate access to a vehicle) would be the quality of the food. We stayed for 3 nights and tried almost half of the dishes on the menu but found 95% of the food lacking in taste. At the most though, a one night stay is more than enough (that is if you want to stay overnight in the Carles area to be closer to the Gigantes islands)
Hi, Regina. Thank you for choosing Solina as your jump-off point to Gigantes Islands, as well as for pointing out the things you liked about your stay here, like the comforts given by the rooms and the kindness of the staff, alongside your honest opinion of your stay. We apologize for any inconvenience during your stay, and we've let the concerned parties know about your feedback. In case you have further recommendations or plans to book for another stay at Solina, we'd be more than happy to help. Thank you very much! Sending positive vibes, Daren of Solina
If you are looking for a better resort near gigantes drop off, this is the place. The balay palangga is superb. Breakfast buffet offers enough selection. Pool and surrounding area also kept clean by the staff.
Hi Estrella, Thank you for recommending the Balay Palangga at Solina! We hope to see you again on your next vacation. Sending positive vibes, Daren of Solina
We had a great time and everyone was very accommodating. We just had slight miscommunication with the language since everyone was speaking to us in Hiligaynon! but all in all a great resort and will come back again someday.
Hi Christine, We're super glad you liked your stay and our apologies for the misunderstanding—you must have the esteemed qualities of an Ilonggo which may have confused our staff lol. Nonetheless, we are grateful that you chose us and we're very happy that we met your expectations! See you again on your next adventure in Panay! Sending positive vibes, Daren of Solina
Nice resort if touring Islas de Gigantes”
Nice family friendly resort. We visited during holy week and they can improve more on management of anticipated guests, as they seem to be rattled in the restaurant. Food took a long wait, only to be told it's no longer available. Rooms are nice, but the bathroom tends to absorb so much heat during the day because of the sun roof. Overall still a nice place to retreat from city life.
Hi, Nicole! Thank you for choosing Solina during your Holy Week getaway, and we appreciate your honest feedback. While there has been a great influx of guests in the resort because of the holidays, we believe that we are capable of offering you better service, and we assure you that we're doing our best to enhance our services, especially for the next time you visit us. Thank you for thinking of Solina as an ideal place for a retreat from the hustles and bustles of city life. Sending positive vibes, Daren of Solina
The resort is clean and staffs are approachable. The swimming pool is big enough and it even has kiddie pool. The restaurant serves faster. The buffet breakfast is okay. nothing fancy. The rooms (pods) are surprisingly small for its price. The AC is cold which is very important due to the hot weather. there are few insects esp during our dinner but overall the resort is great and recommendable to stay.
Hello, Kristine! We love your keen eye for detail and your appreciation of our resort, through both positive points and notes for improvement. We'll do our best to provide you an even better experience for the next time you're here. Thank you so much for recommending Solina to everyone! Sending positive vibes, Daren of Solina
Cozy place but some staff needs training”
Waiters in restaurant not that attentive and Restaurant manager should be aware that breakfast menu should be refilled during breakfast service time... I had breakfast at 9am, only egg and bread are available...
Hi Ma, Thank you for your kind words about our front desk staff! We would also like to thank you for bringing your experience to our attention. The management has convened with the restaurant staff for learning and improvement. In behalf of the team here, we do apologize and we sincerely hope to serve you better on your next stay. Should you have more concerns, we'll keep our lines open for you and we'll be more than happy to assist you! Sending positive vibes, Daren of Solina
Serene and relaxing place”
Great front desk staff but restaurant personnel should improve. Also, it’s ok for the room and the breakfast to be a bit pricey but make sure you refill your breakfast menu while it is still breakfast service time, we are on vacation so we would like to wake up a bit late but when we took our breakfast at 9am, no more food in most of the containers and sadly no more refill also... considering 10am is the cut-off.
Hi Ma, We have responded to your other review and we will keep our lines open should you require further assistance. We again apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you as we continue learning and training our staff. Please refrain from reviewing multiple times so that we can sort and attend to each feedback the soonest. Sending positive vibes, Daren of Solina
Overall, we had a good time at Solina. Phone signal is a little scarce. Data is close to zero. Good thing there's wifi at the restaurant. It's not really a big deal though. Room is great. Bed, pillows, and blanket were comfy. It's not far from the city. An overnight stay is enough to relax and unplug.
Hi, Pamela! Thank you for choosing Solina for your relaxing vacation. We are glad that we have made you feel comfortable with our rooms. We do like to think of the phone signal issue as a blessing in disguise in terms of providing you a peaceful getaway, but on the other hand, we are constantly in touch with the telco providers in the area to get them to improve their services. Perhaps by your next visit, you'll have no problems sharing your wonderful time at Solina online. Sending positive vibes, Daren of Solina
The resort is a nice jump off if you would like to see the Giganted Islands. ”
The resort is a nice jump off if you would like to see the Giganted Islands. You can experience glamping in this resort and you would still feel very much comfortable while connecting with nature. They have great selection of food too! They have fresh scallops and seafood if you want to indulge. Their staff are all friendly which is great. I’d definitely go back here with my kid as well as they also have great pool!
Dear Myrted, Thank you for making Solina your destination of choice this summer! We're elaated about your thoughtful review, especially mentioning our #glamping accommodation, our seafood selection, and our friendly staff. From all of us at Solina, we send our appreciation to you and your family! Hope to see you soon again! 😍 Sending positive vibes, Daren of Solina
First of all the place is wide and serene, with organized housing accommodations. The staffs are polite, accommodating, friendly and attentive to our needs. The place provides a great atmosphere in the evenings.
Good day, Theresa! Our staff would like to extend their gratitude for your high praise. We're glad you enjoyed the unique, spacious, and relaxing atmosphere that Solina offers. We'd be more than happy to have you here again. Until next time! Sending positive vibes, Daren of Solina
Great for Families and Big Groups”
We stayed as a group of 8 with 4 people staying per room. Each “Kamalig” room was set up as a large tent with an AC. It was fixed with four single beds and a bathroom. It was in a respectable set-up. It had a nice out-doorsy feel to it. The resort was quite big and golf carts were necessary to transport the guests from one area to another. The food is not too good, but most resort food taste basic. So there’s no surprise there. The staff is incredibly friendly. This is on top of the fact that the Ilonggos are known to be very courteous and “malambing”. They have snorkelling activities and a beautiful home reef which you can enjoy by booking through their front desk a day in advance. It will require a 5-minute boat ride from their beach.
Hi Marielle, That review just melted us—thank you for sending us love! Awesome guests like you always gives us that extra boost to continue improving. And you're right, our staff are said to be the friendliest in the island as we host with our Ilonggo customs and values in mind. We sure have the niftiest kamaligs in town—we're super stoked you loved them! Thank you for your feedback as well about our food. Our team is constantly working to give you the best service and experience. Don't forget to please tag us in your Facebook or Instagram posts. We might just feature them on our page! 😍 Sending positive vibes, Daren of Solina

We fell inlove with the place instantly. If you want to stay in place where you can unwind then this is a perfect place to be. The rooms and facilities are great. We had a free bike rental. The buffet breakfast is so yummy We will go back for sure. :)
