Set within 43 acres of forest at the foot of the mountains, this stunning castle boasts huge rooms with 32-inch flat-screen TVs. The 5-star hotel offers a luxurious spa within its beautiful gardens. Cosy bathrobes and slippers are provided in each luxury room, along with a wood-panelled marble bathroom. Rooms include oak furniture and idyllic garden views. Cedars Restaurant has a terrace and features traditional dishes including seafood from the nearby port of Killybegs. The Gallery Bar serves light meals and snacks whilst the Father Browne Bar provides a more cosy setting for enjoying a drink or having a light bite to eat. The Cara Organic Beauty and Spa has a steam room, sauna and massage suites. There is a fitness centre and the swimming pool is located in a glass atrium, offering views over the grounds. From the greeting from Dylan and his helpful hospitality, to our room in the castle, the breakfast in the am and the drinks and food in the evening to the spa, plus it’s scenic and convenient location near Donegal Town…you can’t beat this!!!

Not 5 stars ”

A nice hotel with with lovely facilities, however the level of service in parts was very poor. This was particularly relevant in the bar area which was over priced , €9 for soup, with exceptionally slow service at times. I acknowledge hospitality has taken a hit with the pandemic but id expect better in a 5 star hotel. I’ve stayed in 3/4 stars with a much higher level of service and attention to detail.

A Perfect Getaway Destination”

The staff, the room and the location

Our stay at the Solis Lough Eske was the perfect end to our Ireland trip. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, the staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. The location of the hotel is idyllic. The room was perfectly appointed with an extremely comfortable four posted bed. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. We will definitely be returning.

Great hotel, great location, a real gem.”

Good rooms, good food, good service.

We went to the hotel for a family wedding. Lived up to expectations. Really good rooms and excellent food. Great location.Difficult to find any faults. A superb hotel for a function or a few days away.Certainly not cheap but well worth the extra cost for a really good stay. This is a place to go back to.
