This was our family’s all time FAVORITE place to stay in the Philippines. ”
The owner, Jerome honestly walked several extra miles to make our stay unforgettable. Our chalet was fantastic. Everything was tended too. Fresh smelling bedding and towels, daily supply of bottled water, cleaning on a daily basis without any extra costs. He even gave us a guest mobile phone to carry with us with his nr in case we needed help while visiting the island. On top of all of this he offers to drive guests to nearby restaurants at night and then pick up again afterwards. Did I mention without any extra costs??? Jerome stands out above many other hotel owners. He knows the island well and gave us a map with directions to visit all the beautiful sights. We managed to rent scooters from him which made life even easier. It’s an understatement to say that Jerome really cares about his guests. We enjoyed every moment at his resort. If we must choose one island and accommodation to re-visit in the Philippines then Camiguin and Somewhere Else Boutique will get our vote.

THE BEST RESORT EVER!!!”
do yourself a HUGE FAVOR and book this resort... We spent 7 days in Camiguin and this resort was only available during the first 4 nights, so we ended up visiting ~15 top rated resorts in Camiguin – and I can tell you that: Jerome’s place is BY FAR the best one there. First, he has only 3 villas in this little heaven he built there, and they are all very well designed up to the tiniest details – the huge comfortable bad, the interior design, the double bad terrace surrounded by a beautiful garden, the luxurious showers. The breakfast is freshly made and served to your room whenever you want it to. PERFECTION. The place itself is one big garden with coconut trees and a beautiful pool just next to the sea. Second, and the most important thing in our opinion – Jerome is not just the landlord there, he’s your friend. He picked us up from the airport, explained us what we can do in Camiguin, where to go and where to eat. Did I mention PERFECTION??? We love you Jerome.

Four Dogs and a Beach”
I'm not one to dish out compliments easily but Some Where Else in Camiguin was simply too good not to rave about. For someone who is (very) anal about cleanliness, this quaint, quiet, nondescript resort definitely passes with flying colors. If for this reason alone, I will definitely stay there again the next time I am in Camiguin. But what I do plan to go back to this island for, second only to the rich and biodiverse snorkeling sites in Mantigue Island, are the design and functionality of the boutique resort villas. The French owner, Jerome Birnbaum, has a deep appreciation of Filipino craftsmanship. He also has such a knack for attention to detail that he thought of just about everything that even well-traveled guests might forget to bring or not think about needing during a trip to an island paradise. Jerome also has four spoiled but friendly island dogs (rescues) who roam the half-a-hectare beachfront property and make it a point to drop in to welcome resort guests. Four dogs and a beach. It's pretty hard to top that.

Some Where Else is the best managed boutique resort I have ever experienced! All positive reviews out there are very true. The owner and his staff will go the extra mile to address all your needs and requests. Each of them are very warm, courteous, hospitable and good at what they do.....making their guests feel comfortable in Camiguin. The island that they arranged for us was perfectly planned out for 2 days. Not tiring for my 72 year old parents. I will surely come back!

Some where else is a unique place, starts with the location which is almost on the beach with a private one. The room itself is kind of a vila, very comfortable and spacious, clean and quiet. Jerome the owner made our stay in Camiguin much more better then we expected! A quiet gem in the center of Camiguin ”
Located 5 minutes away from the airport is this beach front resort that houses a few villas, good to accommodate couples, honeymooners, families and/or friends. Friendly staffs, very clean rooms, serves big breakfast (hot choco, fruit balls and breads are the best). It provides transportation services at flexible terms. The owner is friendly and quite helpful in planning your day's itinerary. Highly recommended!

Best room and host we have ever had! Recommended for Honeymoon”
Jerome and his kind and friendly staff supplied us with everything you can imagine and even more! We have not expected to this kind of hospitality and treatment. The room was gigantic big, we actually could dance while having shower together. Jerome don't consider himself as an artist but the room and balcony - yard is very well decorated with finest touch ups. He also spent lot of time with us explaining about the best places to visit and supplied us with a motorbike and daily trips to do all over Camiguin. The experience was more than AMAZING! We had an.amazing three night stay in somewhere else resort. The unit was located in sublime location for sunset and has plenty of space to roam around to enjoy. Not crowded like any other resort.Their biggest value though is their staff as Jerome and his well trained people delight each and every guests . They think ahead of what their guests needs and offer to provide them. I'm.a hotelier myself and I have experience how this resort exceeds their guests expectations. We have visited three resorts in.camuguin and this is by far the BEST in the island. HIGHLY recommended

We stayed here for 3 night . Ideal for couples. Romantic, clean , comfy , organized and beautiful house ! Right in front of the beach . The owner wasn’t there but his assistant helped us with everything we needed . Pickup and drop up at the airport , driving to dinner and comeback and planning our trip. Was amazing! Amazing Resort”
Somewhere Else Resort was the highlight of our travels in the Philippines; it's a truly amazing accomodation and Jerome, the owner, is really hospitable, caring and always available for tips in regards to places to visit and where to go for dinner! Also the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The villa we stayed in was superb, there were a lot of small details that made a difference and you could feel that there is someone who really cares about his guests.
