great new hotel, staff very accommodating”

There are so many things to love about Somerset Alabang. First, I have to say how happy we are about the staff. We made a mistake with our booking date, but they were very accommodating. They helped us rebook with no problem. I guess it might also be because they're fairly new. In the hotel, they always smiled, greeted us, and met our requests well. They sometimes have cheesy spiels, like "welcome to your home in the south". We thought it was funny, and it also shows that they were trained well. The room was very beautiful. Interiors are new and modern. Appliances and furniture are superior. We looooove the bedding. The pillows alone are good enough to want to go back to Somerset Alabang. I believe they had goose down pillows and duvets. Best sleep in ages. The bathroom is nice and spacious. There's a bath tub, so that was really nice. Food is great too. Breakfast buffet is between 6-10am at their restaurant. Around the hotel, there are a lot of places to go to. There's South supermarket nearby, where we bought wine to bring back to our hotel room. There are also 24-hour restaurants across the road. Overall, it was the perfect venue for the perfect date night. We plan on coming back every 2 months because we loved it so much!

Room for Improvement”

The experience was amazing overall. Somerset Alabang is a beautiful place, with beautiful rooms and courteous staff. I stayed in a 1 Bedroom Apartment, and the apartment was very comfortable and it was big. The kitchen is fully equipped, as well as the laundry and ironing facilities. The two televisions in the room are much appreciated, as it would come in handy when you are staying with someone else. The rooms are very clean, and the housekeeping service is very efficient. However, I understand that Somerset Alabang is in its soft opening phase which is why there are some room for improvements: (1) The restaurant – the restaurant is obviously understaffed. There is a long delay in refilling the food in the breakfast buffet, and lag in clearing the tables. There is also not a host/hostess podium in the entrance, so guests would have to look for where the host/hostess is before the guest could proceed with their meal. The meals in the buffet are also very limited. I had high expectations on this as I had Ascott Makati as my basis, but the selection is quite disappointing. I hope they add more variety in and improve the service of their restaurant. (2) Information – It would be better if there a more comprehensive in-room information such as brochures or booklets provided to the guests so that we would know what are around the area, and what services does the hotel offer. The welcome letter was just a summary of the services, and we have to ask the guest services everytime we have a short question. The guest services personnel are very courteous, though, which is a huge advantage of the hotel. (3) Shuttle service – as of the moment, the hotel does not offer shuttle services for places around the area for the guests. It would have been convenient to have this kind of service, as there are malls, churches, and hospitals within the area, which the guests might want to frequent.

Ideal hotel for a staycation weekend”

New, clean hotel with the perfect location and rooms that offer the best view! We checked in late at night but we're accommodated quite well. Room was nice and clean. Breakfast was included in our package but we don't really eat that much in the morning so we didn't really mind the selection. I think in this area they can improve more. You can see the pool area while having breakfast and it did entice us to take a dip. The pool area's design was modern and chic, which we love very much! They have these sofa beds that were very comfortable for lounging. We even asked for a late check out since we enjoyed lounging in the pool area so much and they pleasantly gave us another hour. Overall a great stay! We now have a new favorite hotel in Alabang. My husband enjoyed his birthday staycation, thanks Somerset Alabang!

Fantastic Hotel”

A brand new hotel situated in a easy accessible location. Nearby malls are walking distance. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. I was celebrating my wife's birthday at the hotel and apart from the cakes and slight decorations in the room upon entering the room during after check in, the team actually came up and sang birthday song to my wife. I have booked for the One Bedroom Deluxe room and the room is very spacious and clean. Special compliments to the excellent and outstanding services provided by Jerry from Concierge and Christi from Front Desk. They had portrayed a professional and top notch service quality provided to my wife and I, thank you so much Somerset Alabang! Will definitely return to stay when I visit Alabang again.

This was my first trip back to Philippines after 26 years living in the USA. I must say, the place, Alabang, where I grew up, before migrating and becoming a citizen of USA, have changed a lot. Somerset provides you with the class and amenities that foreigners, westerners, balibayan (like me) and travelers around the world are accustomed to. The Service, cleanliness, ambience are definitely way up to the standard. I would rate this as 4 to 5 star hotel. I would just hope that the value still maintains it self thru time. Keep it up Somerset! Don't loose that focus to excellency. Definitely have referred to family an friends here in the USA. Whenever in the Philippines, Somerset is a sure bet. Thanks!

Best in the south”

We have been doing a lot of staycation and so far in the alabang area. Somerset is the no 1 overall awesome. Their facilities are clean and very cozy, and their customer service exceeded my expectation. It's a little bit pricey but for the quality of service you want to go back and feel like royalty.

My daughter said-- best hotel ever!”

We arrived at 130pm and was immediately offered a welcome drink by sir Jerry who made a bear twisted balloon for my 7yo daughter. I wasnt able to print my hotel voucher but it was no big deal. After less than 10mins I was informed that our room is ready! When we got to our 1 bedroom deluxe, everything was perfect. Sir Jerry taught me how to operate the appliances in the kitchen. My kid enjoyed the pool. I loved the "home away from home" feel. We will definitely come back! Other notable employees: Sir Vince of Housekeeping, Sir Kristof from the restaurant. I'm glad I chanced upon Somerset thru Agoda!

Best accommodation in Alabang”

This is the best hotel in Alabang. Systematic parking space. Lovely lobby. Friendly staff. Swimming area very nice. Great for staycations. Away from the busyness of Metro Manila.

Great service, food and facilities ”

This boutique hotel in the middle of Alabang was a perfect place for a Staycation. The staff was very friendly and accommodating especially with our special requests. The rooms were very large and beds were super comfy. Even the sofa was comfy as an extra bed. Being new, everything was clean and orderly. The breakfast was also very good as well, being run by Enderun. They even had my favorite Eggs Benedict! This is definitely on the top of our list. Hope the service and quality don't deteriorate over time like some hotels in that area.

this hotel is being in filinvest near alabang. have to walk to the Starmal about 15 mins. but filinvest is very clean and no noisis. I stayed in this hotel with my wife and a son. there are everything in the room. If i will visit in alabang again, i will use this hotel again.

Great addition to Southern Hospitality”

I was happy to see an agoda booking for this hotel since looking at the published rate, an overnight stay would have cost us 3x the agoda offer. Given that it's a new hotel here in Alabang, I was excited to see how this hotel fares with the other hotels. So allow me to break this down. In terms of the location, the hotel is walking distance to nearby food establishments and several malls around the area (Festival, Commerce Center and ATC) With regards to cleanliness, I was impressed with all the amenities until a lone cockroach that visited the entertainment area. Hence a 3 out of 5 in this category. The staff were very helpful. From my initial call with the frontdesk, they were very insightful in terms of providing all the answers to my questions. Check in was a breeze and they made sure that my wife's birthday was memorable when they went up to our room and sang a birthday song for her with a chocolate cake at hand. Breakfast buffet had a limited selection of the standard breakfast menu. However, I did appreciate their Eggs Benedict which was prepared well that had me coming back for seconds. With regard to the facilities, travelling with my kids, having several areas of a kiddie pool was what made me want to stay here in the first place. The pool looked great given the view and the design. It was even more exceptional at night. My only wish was that the bubble pool was more of a jacuzzi since the temperature was even colder than the regular pool. I recommend that you splurge on getting the 1 bedroom due to the space vs. a regular room. The huge TV in the living room area was a pleasant surprise and I appreciate having multiple hd channels to watch my favorite shows and plug my hard drive for my kids' favorite movies. Bathroom had nice fixtures with the complimentary shampoo and soaps were above the usual complimentary freebies. My kids got an extended feel of the pool when they used the bath tub for a warm bubble bath. Overall, I would recommend

Nice hotel, friendly staffs with flexibel solutions”

As I was in bussines travel, I came in the morning and I asked if there any early check in. Well, even the room is available...most of hotel will not approve it. Somerset gave me early check in and because of it, I have a full charged energy after tired night flight. Thanks Somerset! Keep it up.

A home away from home”

We had a really good time staying in this hotel. The staff are all courteous and helpful. Checking in and checking out was a breeze. The lobby was well lighted and homey. The kids got an early treat of lollies and balloon animals as soon as we got in. We stayed in a one bedroom unit and it was just superb. The kitchen was well equipped and clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The breakfast food selection was limited but none the less taste great! They even have a playroom for the kids although it lacks toys and there were mosquitoes. The internet connection was free but it was quite slow. I would definitely come back to Somerset. I finally found a home when we go down South.

Somerset Alabang is relatively new so as expected, new furnishings, clean rooms and nice facilities. take note that this is a service apartment. Good location since near malls (Festival and ATC) including restaurants.

Exceptional”

Our Somerset experience was great. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was also great. The room was perfect, we got the 1 bedroom suite. Then view was perfect, facing acacia hotel area. The layout of the living n dining was right. Kitchen size is big. My husband enjoyed cooking because of the new cookwares. One of the best hotels we tried👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Best hotel for family ”

2 bedroom was really nice and clean. You have eveything you need for a short stay. Big 2 rooms... We feel just we are in our house... My kids enjoyed in kiddie cubie room... i can watch tv while kids are playing. The kids enjoyed in pool, the guy staff was really attentive to young kids playing. I forgot his name... but he was really extraordinary person... he teach kids to wear vest for safety in d pool... Good job somerset staff!

Exceptional”

the property was a breath of fresh air in the accommodation industry. after trying air bnb for a while now, its good to know that agoda already has choices like this. somerset is very nice. the service is impeccable and the room was wonderful! my only comment is that the shower head has already reached its maximum capacity work. most of the holes are blocked and is not too god for washing the hair. apart from that, i will definitely go back.

A well maintained property, each room has a reserved parking slot. Kids enjoyed the the 4th flr. Facilities, overall staff and security personnel were very accomodating. Breakfast and room service menu could still be improved. Check-in wait time could also be made more efficient. I would stay in this property again. Thanks Somerset!

Overall it was really a memorable staycation! My daughter loves Somerset, we stayed there for her birthday and she was really happy she wanted to go back there again!
