The best location & the most comfy bed!”
It's near almost every tourist spot in Sydney-- the Tower Eye, Hyde Park, Queen Victoria Bldg., St. Mary's Cathedral, Circular Quay, Sydney Harbor Bridge & Opera House, Botanical Garden, The Rocks, Chinatown, Paddy's Market, Darling Harbour. And the People at the reception were all so helpful and patiently answered all my queries. They made me and my husband feel so at home. We definitely recommend this hotel to first time visitors and if we ever get the chance to visit Sydney again, Song Hotel will be THE hotel for us.
Clean no frills hotel in a good location”
All you need for a short stay in Sydney. Continental breakfast, sufficient for most, included. Great location being just over the road from the bottom end of Hyde Park. A lovely walk through the park and Botanical Gardens down to the iconic Opera House and Circular Quay with stunning views of the famous Sydney Bridge. Only a 5-10 minute walk away from the Sydney Tower giving you 360 degree over Sydney and beyond. A 10-15 minute walk from Central Station and a further 5 minutes from Chinatown. Most pick-up points for tours within a short walk. So convenient it’s almost too good to be true. The rooms are simple but have everything you would need and are spotlessly clean. Check-in and checkout was very quick and straight forward. Access to the rooms via the lift can only be accessed if you swipe your room key in the lift so you know there will be no uninvited guests wandering around. A good all rounder. Have used 3 times now and would definitely use again.
Excellent place to stay”
To stayed at Song hotel for 2 days&nights and we had an excellent experienced with them. Nice staff, we had an early check-in, they weren’t ready at the time but they let us drop our baggages at the hotel and we went to Opera house for 2 hours. They was setting up room for us so fast and phoned us up to let us know that we were ready to check in. We were booked a room with private bathroom, it was really nice and clean. Shampoos and soaps are provided. We would definitely come back and stay here again, close to Museum station or can walk to Sydney CBD, world Square, China town or Thai town, heaps of food and shops. Recommend to stay at Song.
Y Hotel Sydney - Wentworth St”
I would certainly stay at this hotel again. Great location near the CBD Sydney. The staff were friendly and helpful - available on hand 24 hours a day. Rooms were tidy and clean - boutique. Breakfast was included and good value. A mixture of clientelle - old and young. Internet facilities - however there is an internet shop close by. Approximately 20 mins by train from airport and 5 mins from the Museum Station (ok for backpackers, not suitcases as no lift) however airshuttle is good value at 14 AUD. Stay there - thanks Agoda and Y Sydney Hotel
Practical hotel in ideal location...”
The Song Hotel is located just across from Hyde Park, and the Museum train station. Everything was clean and efficient, the room was sufficiently spacious and well designed, and the breakfast/bar were more than adequate. The only complaint I would have is that the card reader to my room did not function properly...even after I was issued a new door card. Regardless, I would definitely stay here again when visiting Sydney.
The location its the best, it's near to everything: Gym, Bus and Train Station, St Mary's Church, Restaurants (they also have their own-and food is sumptuous), Bars and oh The Philippine Embassy is just a couple walks away. The Staff, they are not GREAT. They are SUPER GREAT!!! From the Receptionist, to the Kitchen Staff, upto the Room Attendant! The Breakfast? Its an eat all you can Western Breakfast (Sounds Good? YES IT IS!) Kudos! I love SONG HOTEL SYDNEY!
Great location and clean room”
Clean rooms in the Sydney CBD with rather low price. Quiet rooms on higher floor can be requested. But there is no bathroom inside the room and the breakfast provided is too simple and have few options. Also, no free wifi in the hotel, no matter in room or in the lobby. Yet, it is rather a good choice for budget accommodation.
Y on the Park is the best”
I have stayed at Y on the Park (Y Hyde Park now) this year and in 1999. It was excellent in 1999 and has improved again. It's convenience for visiting Sydney sights by foot, bus and train is unsurpassable. The rates are very reasonable for all types of accommodation and the en-suite rooms are hotel standard - quiet and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast is self service cereal and toast included and for a bit extra a cooked breakfast. The staff are well informed, helpful and friendly and you can store your luggage before check in or after check out. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Sydney. Highly recommendable.
Amazing location with decent small room”
we booked a double bed with shared bathroom. this hotel is fancy and provides good value in sydney but has very small rooms. the location is probably the best you can find for the money. it's around the corner from oxford street so you get the amazing relaxed vibe and tons of food choices literally around the corner from your hotel. it's also a quick 3 minute walk to the train station. the rooms are very small but provide just enough room to place your bags down and unload your stuff. there's a balcony door but it opens only about 3 inches.... enough to provide circulation when needed. the ac and lights turn on only with your room key, and will turn off when you take the key out. the bathrooms are very clean and sanitary. there's 2 showers, 3 toilets, and 3 sinks. it doesn't seem like enough for the whole floor but they were surprisingly always available when we needed them. continental breakfast was included in our rate. reception was always courteous and kind. we asked about the weather forecast, good places to eat, internet cafes, laundry, and they always helped us out with a smile. we booked this hotel for the weekend of mardi gras thinking it'd be a good idea to be so close, but it turned out to backfire. the train station across the street was closed the evening of mardi gras so we had to get off at the museum station and walk to the hotel. unfortunately, a number of streets were blocked off in preparation of the parade and we walked what seemed like miles to get around the fences. this is the best value for the money and is in an amazing location. it's clean, sanitary, and in a good location.
Clean and comfortable - free breakfast - friendly staff - great location and excellent value! ”
I stayed at the Song Hotel for two nights in a double ensuite room and was really pleased with everything and would highly recommend it! The room was clean, bed was comfortable to sleep in, shower worked well; water stayed hot throughout all my long showers! There’s a full size hair dryer that worked well so no need to pack your own! There’s a kettle and mini bar fridge, sachets of coffee, tea, sugar and milk along with ironing board and iron. The heating works well too! They have daily housekeeping which was nice and also include a free breakfast each morning which has a variety of breads, spreads, fruit salad, juices, tea and coffee which was great! The hotel is excellent value for money, the staff were very nice and accommodating, it’s in a great location with trains and buses just a short walk away and there are lots of cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Overall, I found the Song Hotel very pleasant and great value and would certainly go back there again! Thank you 😊
Sydney CBD Value ”
Great cbd location close to transport to get anywhere in Sydney. Incline walk from Central Station so get off airport train @ Museum Station. Reception renovations excellent inc the restaurant. En suite rooms good value for this location. Included continental breakfast fresh and generous. Staff throughout helpful and friendly and thanks to the housekeepers for a clean room with re-stocked towels. I'll be back !
The location of the Y Hyde Park is fantastic as it is within walking distance of the CBD, Sydney Aquarium, Darling Harbour and Chinatown (for evening meals). For those who are not walkers, it is close to Museum Station so easy to access the transport system. The hotel rooms and bathroom facilities are clean and the double traditional room for a couple was quite adequate, but it was a bit disappointing not to be able to access the balcony (but understandable. We had a really enjoyable stay for 2 nights at Y Hyde.
GOOD OPTION FOR SYDNEY CITY”
We stayed at this hotel for three nights in July 2017. The location is fabulous - right opposite Hyde Park and Oxford Street is right across the road - plenty of restaurants. Museum train station is two minutes walk. The in-house restaurant was very good quality and the happy hour provided drinks and certain meals at very reasonable prices. The buffet continental breakfast (included in the price) was excellent and set us up for the day. Our room was fairly basic but had everything we needed (ensuite, fridge, tea/coffee, air-conditioning etc) and was clean. All staff were really friendly which really counts when you're away from home. The only slight problem was with our swipe-cards to access our room - we sometimes had to try for up to a couple of minutes before the door would open. We did report this to the desk but learned that they're upgrading their access key system so this won't be a problem the next time we stay there - and there will definitely be a next time! Thank you Song Hotel! Jo Hawthorne
nice cheap hotel.”
The hotel was in a good location. Comfortable bed. We stayed a few night and enjoyed being able to walk to most central Sydney locations. As noted by many reviewers, the location is super convenient. Staff were friendly and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel (if you want to stay in ~CBD), and hope to return one day.
The central location of your hotel and the information available at reception made our holiday in Sydney a hassle free pleasure. Being so close to all landmarks allowed us to walk to the opera house, botanical gardens and darling harbor and enjoy many other sights we would have otherwise missed. The service was of a high standard. Observing your check in staff while waiting for our lift on check out we saw many instances of the staff helping people from several countries where English is not the base language. Thank you for a pleasant stay I will be recommending your hotel to any one intending to visit Sydney.
Great value for money, clean and central.”
Great value, rooms were spacious, clean and beds very comfortable. Great central location, close to trains and buses. Continental breakfast was included and very nice selection cereals. Very quiet inner courtyard triple room with en suite. .Definitely recommended I would say it is as a good as many of the higher prices hotels I have stayed in around Sydney without the price tag!.
Very reasonable price in location and cleanliness”
I was definitely satisfied with this hotel. Amazing location. It takes only under two or three mins from Museum station. Surroundings are quite safe as well. (In front of this hotel, there is Hyde Park. What a lovely location!) Quite small but nicely neated and clean room. Breakfast is simply but I liked it. Even though my upgraded breakfast was not good as much as I expected, basic menu is enough to enjoy your breakfast and start your day. Considering Sydney price is genearlly high, this hotel is very reasonable and attractive. Recommend this hotel.
You get what you paid 👍🏻”
Great location all the popular sydney attraction nearby literally a 5-10 mins walk staff and hotel was good and friendly breakfast outstanding the only thing i expect in toiletteries is a toothbrush and tooth paste normally most of the hotel provided in toiletteries otherwise you get what you paid definitely stay here again in future and highly recommend to people who want good hotel in cheap price
Perfectly situated, the Y hyde Park hotel is at the bottom end of Hyde Park. Once out of the hotel, and a very short walk from the hotel you will come across Liverpool street, where regular buses can be caught to most of sydneys tourist spots, including the train station. I would recommend the Y hyde park hotel, the rooms are slightly shabby but clean, fresh linen is provided everyday. In the standard rooms, a safe is provided, as is a fridge, a kettle, and complementary tea and coffee, and a television. Breakfast is a simple fair with a choice of cereals, tea and coffee are not limited to one cup and you can refill your cup as often as you wish toast with butter, jams, peanut butter, and of course Vegemite, are also provided. We tried to book this hotel again on our return from Brisbane, but sadly the hotel was full. For the price this was the best hotel we found in sydney.
A pleasant stay made better by the friendly staff”
We actually switched to Song after a few days in another hotel that cost $100 more per night, and to our surprise, Song was far better in almost every way! First, the location is good, right next to Hyde Park and the Australian Museum. The hotel itself is very clean, modern, and comfortable. The best thing is the staff though, really friendly and eager to help in any way they can! Especially Cristophe went far out of his way to help us, which is greatly appreciated. One of the nicest guys we've ever ran into. The only downside is the breakfast, which has quite limited choice. They do have a bar that sells additional items for the breakfast, and if you're a tea drinker, you probably want to count in $4.5 extra per day for a good pot of tea from the bar, the basic breakfast only has Lipton yellow label. For fellow vegans, the breakfast has toast & jam or soya milk with cereal. Plus extra items from the bar. Anyway, a very good stay and I warmly recommend it to anyone!
