My second stay .”
I've stayed at the Song Tien Hotel twice . It's easy to locate if your lost due to its location near the various waterways and Lakes . The beds are large and comfortable and the bathrooms are large and clean . The staff are not intrusive, they all seem to be very friendly . They have a good undercover parking area . If you have a decent bike you will often find it in the large reception area in the evening! The guy that looks after the motorbikes is great . He even sussed out a better way to stash my luggage for the return trip and I'm a seasoned Motorcycle tourer . One has to walk up the road in the morning to the Cuu Long Hotel for breakfast but it's worth it! The breakfast is a buffet style with a decent selection . Take your own butter and tomato sauce sachets however unless you Know the basics in Viet . The lift is amusingly slow but the staircase is nice and wide when descending to terra firma in the morning . My Tho prices are about half that of HCMC . I recommend this hotel .

Facilities need repair”
The air conditioning didn't work in the 3 rooms that were shown to us. We were sent to their annex hotel where we spent 1 night. We changed to another room due to the sewer gas smell. This newest room was on the top floor room 501. the telephone did not work and the TV died as we were leaving. The same company owns 3 hotels in My Tho. The Song Tien, Song Tien Annex and the Cuu Long hotels. The Cuu Long is their newest and only less than a year old. Stay in the Cuu Long hotel.

Better than average for its class”
We were 2 nights in this hotel. On arrival we got the twin room which is big as described 'Superior Twin', however it does not have any window so we asked for another room with window. We got the room 606 on the 6th floor, but it is not a twin room, it is a room with a double bed. We went straight to bed but due to the noisy airconditioning unit we could not sleep. We complained and then we got another room, a double bedroom next to the lift on the 5th floor with a little river view on the corner of our tiny window. The rooms are relative big and clean, the bed is more like a king-sized bed and not a small double bed. Our room is next to the lift, but fortunately the lift is very quite so we were quite happy with the third bedroom. For breakfast you get a voucher which you present to the cafe next door on the first floor. The choice of breakfast is quite limited, but you can choose the one breakfast you prefer: from noodle soup to bread & jam, etc... The location of the hotel is the best in My Tho as you can walk only 2 minutes to the central market and you can also walk along the Mekong river for sightseeing. This hotel has also a restaurant and a cafe next door. For the scale between 1 and 10 points I can give this hotel 8 points for its location, its good-sized bedrooms, services, etc... Unfortunately I cannot give 9 or 10 points for this hotel due to the lacking of a computer for free internet connection and also due to the smoking policy of the hotel (smell of cigarette smoking in the hotel).

Good location, big rooms ”
the location of the hotel is conveniently located along the roadside (oppo the river side). the staff are friendly and can speak adequate english. room are extremely spacious and a big bath area. nevertheless, the aircon cant seem to reach the whole room and will only become cold when night comes. just step out of the hotel and you will be able to acess the market or other streets conveniently by walking.

Very nice and clean hotel in a good location. The staff were friendly and helpful although their English only basic. Our breakfast was included but be careful as they charge extra for any drinks other than tea/coffee. If your lucky you will get a room with river views but if you don't it won't spoil your stay in this hotel.

Cockroaches and scam. Don't go there.”
It was one of our worst experiences in a hotel. The room was large size but without a window, OK for one night. When we woke up in the morning while I was having a shower, I saw a few cockroaches running out of the toilet to the room, we also saw them under the bed and around our bags. Then we went to visit the little islands on the Mekong and while we were on the boat, I opened my bag and there was a cockroach inside! We also were scammed by the guy selling tours in the hotel. We wanted to visit the Mekong Delta and we agreed with him to pay 30$ each (he was asking for $38) for the tour, lunch and private transport back to HCMC that it was supposed to be a van from the hotel. He promised us that he will take us in a little boat and that will go to certain places. Instead, we went to the pier, and when we were in the boat he said that we will go with his wife and will meet him on the other side of the river because he was going by motorbike. We didn't see him again, we did the tour with the lady but we didn't visit some of the places he offered us, and we couldn't tell her that because she didn't speak English at all. After the tour, went back to the hotel to wait for the van to HCMC, these two motorbike drivers came to pick us up, instead of taking us to the van we went to the local bus station and they want us to take a local bus. Once again, they didn't speak English and it was impossible to communicate with them. They want us to pay them for the bike ride, when it was already included in the price. We told them that the deal wasn't going on a local bus, so we went to the highway and they stopped a van, they put our bags inside and we start our way to HCMC. After 10 minutes, the two guys in charge of the van, asked us to pay the transport. Obviously, this transport was included in the tour. After 15 minutes stopped on the high way trying to make them understand the situation, we agreed to pay them half of the fare and after two hours we finally arrived to HCM

Super Clean with high quality furnishings and a firm but comfortable bed. Just a block or so away from the market,next to the Bao Dinh Channeland follow it up to the water front. The only downside is the front desk staff, uninterested is the best way to explain them. Thought the breakfast staff were nice and the food was great.

Staff were not great, we had problems with the modem but had to fix it ourselves (by hunting about for the modem to reset it) because staff failed to do anything. Also refused to give us milk for our tea because only coffee came with milk on breakfast menu.

Good choice in My Tho”
Perfect for our 3 days stay, convenient location to explore all of town by walking. We got a free upgrade on arrival to a spacious clean room, quiet enough to sleep at night. Very helpful staff, as they assisted to help us call and reserve bus tickets to our next destination.

This needs fixing, the speed is vey slow and intermittent. The staff kept giving reason for slow speed was too many people - but this is just an face cover excuse.
