Cats and Hammocks”
Sook Jai is nice and close to the center of chiang rai, while also feeling a bit like you are in a garden. The atmosphere is laid back and there are lots of hammocks to relax in. There is also a lot of friendly cats wandering around, who aren't shy about coming into your room if you leave the door open!

One of the best hostels I've been in Thailand. The hammocks space is amazing, I could spend there hours and hours in front of the fire. But the best here is the staff. They are very professional and especially good people. For sure I will come back there if I came back to Chiang Rai, and of course, I'm already recommending it to the travelers I'm meeting. Hope to see you soon Thai Thai! :)

The only place you should stay”
This place was amazing! The hammocks and chill atmosphere made us love Chiang Rai even more. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. A great place for backpackers and people meeting up just before going to Laos. Don’t forget to ask the owner where he sells his famous fried chicken... you won’t regret it!

If you have a rolling suitcase dont come here, maybe try Disneyland instead. If you are a backpacker you have to come here. This staff are amazingly friendly and accommodating, they even fed me lunch a cupple days! This is a place where you will meet people from all over the world and share lots of storys. There is free coffee and tea. They have a bonfire everynight around the hammocks and it's easy to forget you're in a city. There are lots of happy cats on the property they may push the door to rooms open to stay warm at night. If thats not your thing.. well again maybe try Orlando Florida for your holiday not a hostel in a third world country.. WOULD RECOMMEND

Great, friendly staff! They were happy to answer our questions and point us in the wrong direction. 10min walk to bus station. Room was basic with lots of character. Fun vibe although we didn’t really hang around. No noise after 10pm.

Cheap place with funny staff. Cleanliness isn’t perfect but with low cost you can handle it. Nice yard with hammocks! During wintertime nights might be a bit cold without a blanket or a sleeping bag. Remember to take your own!

Really awesome hangout with some great people working there and tons of cats/kittens. I enjoyed everything about this place other than not having ac. Highly recommend!

It was a nice stay, I loveee the garden and common area. People working there are really nice too, I stayed just for night. Bad side is that they didn't expect so much guests and they didn't renew the place but after some renovations and new ticker beds it will be perfect oasis ☺️ but it's worth it, garden is just stunning and chill heaven 🙏
