We selected this motel because of the brand "GOODSTAY". It turned up a terrible experience. We stayed two nights without driving. The room (including the basic facility) were without proper maintenance. Overall, the room charge of US$60 per night was too much higher than it should be.

Spacious Room
Spacious Room. Helpful Staff. Nice Location
Easy to access to Seoraksan and Daepohang by either bus or taxi. The staff can't speak fluent English but we managed to communicate. She is helpful to show us direction. The room cleanliness should be improved.

The most disgusting place I've stayed at in Korea.
Staff were reasonably friendly- no english.
This place is run by a very friendly and welcoming lady but its very dirty and uncomfortable place to stay in. For the money you can find much better in Sokcho. The rooms are extremely dated and the bedding was dirty in my room. Luckily I was traveling with my own YHA sleeping sheet so I used that instead as the owners did not speak english and as a solo female traveler I chose not to make a fuss. In addition to this I believe this is a love motel also, the other guests made a LOT of noise and I will leave it to your imagination as to the nature of the noise...... In addition to this there is mould, dirt, cracks and leaks, you name it and its got it. I booked this hotel based on the positive reviews on Agoda, I dont know how these reviews can be true and I question their authenticity. This is not a good place to stay and health inspectors would probably close the place down if they were aware of the conditions. AVOID!

Stay at Soolim? No way!
It was close to the bustop to the national park
Old and run down, this hotel was seriously overpriced there were no dining facilities yet the website says they are average. The people running the place were pleasant. We will not be back .

Great base for day trips to Soeraksan
Soeraksan bus passes in front of the hotel. Convenience store and cafe right behind. Busy food street a couple of hundred meters further back.

Great hospitality and great location
The family that owns it is so sweet and helpful, even with the language barrier. It was also close to the bus stop for the National Park, and close to a bakery and restaurants.
I thought the hotel was great. It wasn't fancy by any means, but perfect if you are looking for a good place at and excellent price. The rooms were quaint, but had all you needed. Bring your own towel though!
