Great choice for the right traveler ”
Great new B&B locates a short trike away from the hustle/bustle of the central El Nido town. Pros are definitely the wallet friendly cost in a location that can easily turn otherwise $$$. Clean air-conditioned rooms. View from the deluxe beach front rooms are breathtaking during high tide. Independent generator so no brownouts. Special note of the staff - very friendly and helpful - from the office staff to the owner who gave us a ride back to the airport (Courtesy ride - Filipinos - good people) Cons will depend on what you're looking for. There's no TV (fine for me but not for my friends) Water pressure is low for showering. Toilet in our room was inconsistent about filling with water. This location is great if you're staying for a week or longer as you'll want a break from the hubbub of downtown. If staying a few days though - there's not enough nightlife or restaurants within easy walking distance. Another thought: From the el nido airport you'll need to take the trikes into the city. Ask the ground personnel where you need to go to grab a ride.

Clean quiet guest house”
The room we have has view and spacious. It is relatively clean. It has AC and fan inside the room. Breakfast is extra charge for us and has some options to choose from. It also has kayak for rent. Our room has good WiFi. It provides purified water so that we can fill out our water bottle . The location is about 10 minutes walk to the town center. Staffs are very friendly. On the con side, the ocean in front of the guest house is not suitable for swimming. One day the watermelon served with the breakfast is not very fresh. In general, it is a nice place to stay when you are in el nido area.

Comfortable stay with lovely staff.”
This guesthouse is relatively new, but I would recommend it to people if you wish to stay out of El Nido town. The breakfast area overlooks Corong Corong beach and is really pretty. The staff are extremely helpful and feel like a family - they allowed us to shower after our checkout before our flight. The rooms are basic but clean and have A/C. The breakfast has a reasonable amount of choice and is nice. They could do with having drinks in stock to order, however they were happy to go and get us drinks from the nearby restaurant when we ordered them. You will need a trike to get into town, although sometimes the guesthouse can take you in. Not many people know where the guesthouse is, so tell them to go to 'Sizzling Republic' and it is very close to there. It is quite expensive for what you get, although I think everywhere is in El Nido, so I would recommend this place, because you get a comfortable stay for your money.

Nice family hotel”
Beach front hotel located at corong corong beach. If you are a family with small chuldren or even with older children, this is perfrct for you. Away from the hustle and bustle of the town yet just a short tricycle ride to town(15mins). It has big rooms with very good a/c. Free coffee anytime. Wifi is weak like anywhere in el nido. Frequent brownouts like anywhere in el nido. The hotel is beachfront but Dont expect too much coz the beach has lots og big rocks and this is where the boats park for the night. I like the hotel coz the staff and the owners made us feel safe and at home. Special thanks to Marc who arranged all our tours and ride back to PP and made our vacatiob hassle free, like having a personal assistant. Thanks Marc!:)

Beautiful view! ”
Lyn and entire staff wonderful. Looking forward to seeing them again when back in El Nido. Beautiful view from house balcony and convenient private tour boat pick up right at the front door. No need going to town. Highly recommend.

Good place to stay”
Out here ballin on a budget and for $35 a night, Sophia’s was a comfortable stay. AC worked great, breakfast was good (we just had toast because they don’t really have vegan options), staff was helpful. Only thing I could think of complaining about was that you have to be in the lobby for the WiFi but we were out all day we so didn’t really care. Would book again when we come back to El Nido.

Thank you for staying with us! We are hoping to see you again!
Budget on the Beach”
Located in Corong Corong beach - great location outside the hustle and bustle of El Nido. Staff and owners are very friendly and willing to help with bookings etc. Room was clean and air conditioning worked well. Some smell from the bathroom but this isn't uncommon around Asia. Wifi was patchy but this seems to be the same everywhere in El Nido (visit CB cafe for reliable wifi). Breakfast in the morning was nice. Overall the location and value for money makes this place a worthwhile stay for the budget conscious traveller in El Nido.

Good location away from El Nido town but only 5 minutes away in a tricycle”
Basic guesthouse accomodation with friendly and helpful staff. I left it late to book accommodation so it wasn't cheap as had to book a family room for two people. If the room was at the right price I would definitely recommend this accommodation. The guesthouse is right on the water so great views when eating breakfast, only 50peso and 5minutes away from town in a tricycle. In the opposite direction was Las Cabanas beach, again only a short ride away which I would definitely recommend and a much better place to spend an afternoon/ evening than in town. A short walk along from Sophia's along the beach there are a few great little beach bars and restaurants. We priced a number of tour booths in town for island hopping tours and found when we booked at Sophia's it was cheaper, in particular a private tour which was 2400peso cheaper than quoted in town so we were very happy with the staff for organising that! :)

the views are breathtaking”
a great guest house on Corong Corong Beach with clean and spacious rooms, some mosquitos but its really common in El Nido, a 50 peso tricycle drive to the town

Wonderful staff and breakfast! ”
We arrived a rainy dark evening down the road to Sophias, it isn't easy to find but once you do it is its own little paradise. The breakfast was great value, the banana pancakes were the best! Highly recommend Sophias for a couple nights of your stay in El Nido.

Descent place to stay”
The location of this place is nice and the view is great specially in the morning. Staff are kind and friendly, and coffee is unlimited just ask the on duty staff for it. Breakfast in the morning is good although they serve very little thumb-sized longanisa or hotdog. Wi-fi is very very slow to useless and if you think of uploading videos on the internet, it's not gonna happen. Their version of a family room is mediocre, it is also tight and we were squeezed like sardines in a can, it's like bumper to bumper on a freeway. But the worst is the water pressure in the shower, it is way too slow, i hope they can improve it. But it's El Nido and most of the average hotel are the same. If you're expecting a luxurious stay, look elsewhere. But if you ask me if I want to come back, I will. Hope to see you soon.

Exceptional”
Great B&B in a great location. It's close to a busy road which is convenient for commuting into El Nido and yet far enough for the noise not to reach it. The food is pretty basic, but you get what you pay for. Highly recommended.

Not bad at all for the budget traveller: an honest review of Sophia’s Guest House”
After reading reviews, i trusted my gut, set my expectation, gambled & booked this guest house. For the price and my experience, I am happy and at peace with the decision. If travelling on a budget, this is a good place to stay at. Private, spacious, airconditioned room with your own private bath with hot&cold shower (and a working non-leaking bidet as a bonus). The lobby looks shabby and could use a facelift. Walls and floor could be repaired and made thicker. But overall not bad. Located in Corong-corong, looking out to the sea. Staff are warm hearted wonderful locals. With a mini free flowing instant coffee/tea station and water refilling station :) A little facelife and this place could be great.

Relaxing”
The view in the house is very nice. It has a relaxing ambiance and has beach front access. I love that our room has own door to the beach. Rooms do not have television also which is okay because we don't stay in the room mostly. Roof is quite thin, you may hear footsteps in the upper floor.

Great location just outside of El Nido and right on the water, you can fall asleep to the waves. The provided breakfast was delicious and the staff stayed out of our way but were helpful.

Nice location but basic accomodation”
Pros: Nice location out of town centre and on the water. Our room opened out on the balcony which was nice. Staff were friendly and helpful. Cons: Shower stopped working a number of times. Noisy with other guests walking and talking outside the room. Overall probably average accommodation for El Nido.

Value for money”
Cons: No television No wifi inside the room Guest house is 1 tricycle ride away from town / port Limited breakfast menu Room cleaning is every 2 days Did not change bed covers You have to pay to bring towels outside the guest house Water pressure of shower a little weak Pros: Clean rooms Very hospitable staff and owner They bought food for us from the market at a cheap price and allowed us to do grills for lunch Provided complimentary lobsters for breakfast Beach front Very quiet, great place for relaxation

Excellent”
Nice location if you want the sound of waves waking you up in the morning and away from the busy El Nido town proper but a few kms away for food tripping. With very responsive front desk staff.
