Perfect for solo business travelers!”
I usually stay at the Fresa Inn in Roppongi, which is like my all-time favorite hotel in Tokyo, but on my most recent trip I stayed in Akasaka. It was just as perfect, if not better on certain aspects like the peace and quiet since the location is more of a residential area rather than a nightlife district like Roppongi. This is a wonderful alternative in case you cannot get a room right where most the action takes place in central Tokyo. Fresa Inn hotels never fail to meet my expectations, and I am always provided with what I need and more!
Hello, this is Sotetsu Fresa Inn Tokyo Akasaka. Thank you for staying our hotel this time. We appreciate your nice feedback as well. We will keep trying to improve the customer service so that you can have more comfortable stay next time. We look forward to seeing you again. Thank you. Perfect location and friendly staff!”
My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Grand Fresa in Tokyo; our first stop of our honeymoon in Japan. We had read many reviews beforehand and we expected the room to be small. Though it wasn’t very large, it was pretty much the same size as any other room in Japan. We were traveling with backpacks so the size of the room was actually perfect for two people. The room was extremely clean and offered an assortment of toiletries (great shampoo, body soap, etc.). The location was absolutely fabulous! Akasaka is a wonderful neighborhood. Many coffee shops around (with free wifi) such as Tully’s, Starbucks, Doutor, etc. The coffee shop connected to the hotel was also great for a quick breakfast. We also STRONGLY recommend the restaurant Sushi No Midori (located in the Biz Tower – 5-minute walk from the hotel). More importantly, the subway station was a 20-second walk away. The staff was very friendly and helpful! All in all, we would definitely stay at this hotel again! The value for money is 10/10.
Great service!”
Great hotel! I have used hotels and business hotels in various places in Tokyo for several years, but it is the best hotel with good staff response! After making a reservation, I had a question that I wanted to ask, and I exchanged messages several times, but since then I did a very pleasant response. We arrived earlier than check-in, but had you leave baggage immediately. The first floor is the front. The building was clean and the bathroom on the ground floor, sofa or table in the lobby, shelf of amenities, shelf of the brochure, elevator had a very clean and clean feeling. The room I stayed was very clean. Of course the bed make-up and amenities were complete, and even Panasonic's Steam Nano Care was provided. Hair iron and wrap dryer were also given in the bathroom. It is service more than price. The hotel has free Wi-Fi. There was an air purifier, a pot and a nice mirror with a light for makeup. There was no hotel which only this was fulfilling! It is service and hospitality more than price. A few minutes walk from Tokyo Metro Akasaka Station. If you walk a little, you can go to Akasaka Biz Tower. TBS is also right there. It takes about 12 minutes on foot to Akasakamitsuke Station, about 5 minutes to Akasaka Tameike Tower, and about 15 minutes to Tameike Sanno Station. There are roads that are slightly sloped, but walking is not a pain. Eating and drinking is easy as there are FamilyMart, McDonald's, Matsuya, Maruetsu Petit, TULLYS and Doutor Coffee near the hotel. If you come to Tokyo again, I will definitely stay at this hotel. Thank you for the great service.

location is near subway metro station, just 3mins walk. but its not at the city center. ”
i was there for honeymoon in tokyo. the staff was so helpful, friendly, respectful and kind. they helped me to connect with SQ airlines for arrangged our luggages arrive at the hotel thought their staff english capability wasnt good enough(hehe), but they tried to understand what we talked. the room was small but enough for 2 persons. there was porn inside the room TV to watch (be careful if you bring your childs here!) hehehe. the hotel is just 2-3mins walk from akasaka subway station (akasaka st. chiyoda line). akasaka was so quite, u need to go to other city part to see tokyo's life. if i go tokyo again, i wont back to this hotel (coz its so far from the city center), but honestly id like to say that this hotel is very warm, the services was good, the staff was friendly, and you can drop your luggages there for free!!! c.i time is 3pm, and c.o time is 11am (it was so early, right?)
A accessibly located Tokyo Sanctuary.”
This was my second hotel stay in Tokyo and I was prepared for the small rooms. If you are looking for a place with larger Western size rooms, this isn't it. However if you are fine with the typical hotel room size in Tokyo this place is a great choice. Despite being small the rooms are well thought out and very functional (think of a sailboat interior). They seemed recently remodeled and I could find nothing to complain about. Close to the Akasaka subway station and the night life in Akasaka and Roppongi. Easy access to restaurants, convenience stores and pretty much anything you could need. The hotel its self seems to be kept impeccably clean and the staff was very nice. The breakfast choices left a little to be desired but were adequate.
Fantastic choice”
My gf and I stayed in Tokyo for a week and the gran fresa in akasaka was a terrific choice . Extremely clean , strTegic location in the middle of town but yet in a relaxing area of akasaka , superbly connected by metro , I will book it again when in town , definitely
Nice hotel, great location”
Super location, easy to find (directly opposite Akasaka Subway exit #7), nice restaurants nearby. Room nicely decorated, small but that's to be expected in most Japanese hotels (other than the 5 star hotels). Reasonably priced for Tokyo. Friendly and helpful staff at reception. I'd highly recommend.
Great hotel; great location”
we arrived at akasaka metro station after 11pm after a long flight. when we saw how close the hotel was to the station (less than 40 metres) we were very glad we had booked it. the room was small but very comfortable, modern and exceptionally clean. it's located in a nice little neighbourhood with plenty of convenience stores and restaurants in easy walking distance. we found the location an excellent base from which to explore the rest of tokyo. my girlfriend particularly liked the cafe attached to the hotel - she became strangely enamoured with the boiled egg and toast option for breakfast. i must admit, the toast was pretty nice... you can access wifi from here and the lobby but not in your room (lan only). overall i would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
Nice, Cozy hotel”
The room was small and cozy which is typical of the room sizes in Tokyo. Staff service was excellent as they will attend to your every needs. The location was great as the Akasaka metro station was simply a minute walk away. Coffee outlet was within the hotel premises and a convenient store in the next building. Plenty of restaurants within the Asakasa area to choose from.
Clean room, close to subway stations”
We stayed in a Standard Double Nonsmoking room for 2 nights while visiting Tokyo in Jul 2016. The room was small as other Japanese hotel rooms, but double bed is big and comfy enough for two. Bed sheet and blanket cover are all white and clean. Room facilities look new and clean. The hotel is close to Akasaka station and Akasaka Mitsuke station, since Tokyo has very good subway system, we had no problem getting around the city from the hotel
We will definately come back!”
It was extremely easy to find this Hotel from Akasaka station. The ladies behind reception were lovely and very efficient. We were in a double room and it was nice and very clean. The room was quite small (we expected this) but that being said, they made great use of space, especially in the bathroom. Breakfast was nice. It was no buffet but you could choose from bacon and eggs on toast or a Croque Monsieur (very nice but was still hungry!) We have backpacked all over Japan and stayed in many suburbs in Tokyo and found Akasaka really refreshing.. and maybe a little upper-class regarding lovely restaurants and wine bars, We will definately be back when we can afford it again!
high quality and well located hotel”
This is a nice hotel, located in a good spot. Akasaka metro station is almost immediately below the hotel, and Akasaka-Mitsuke is only a 10 mintue walk away. Between these stations, it is easy to get almost anywhere in central Tokyo. The room was quite nice, well-appointed, with the best shower I've ever seen in a Japanese hotel. My only complaint was about the check-in time at 3pm. I wanted to freshen up before an important meeting in the afternoon and begged to be allowed to check in an hour earlier, but was turned down. I understand that in Japan rules are rules and are not to be questioned, but given the price of this hotel I'd hoped for a little flexibility. Apart from that, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the place.
Hidden Gem in Akasaka”
Grand Fresa's price is so affordable for its location in central Tokyo. Just 1-2 minute walk from Akasaka subway station exit 6 and you'll find yourself in the hotel. Though the rooms are small, the rooms didn't lack bedroom and bathroom facilities. Thinking of booking here again on our next trip to Tokyo!
Great value, location. Small but livable rooms.”
We stayed for 13 nights in a Superior Double room in the Annex building during the peak cherry blossom season and we could not have been happier. The Annex building felt like coming home to our own apartment each night and we rarely saw employees or other guests. Like staying in an AirBnB with the comforts of a hotel. The room is small, but functional. We were able to manage our space with one large suitcase and a few backpacks pretty well. I enjoyed the water pressure in the shower, but it was a challenge to get the temperature just right. The Chiyoda line isn't the most well connected line, you almost always have to transfer, but it never takes more than 30 minutes to get to any of the major tourist spots. We enjoyed that this location was quiet, but only a 10 minute walk in either direction brought you to the craziness of main Akasaka or the nightlife of Roppongi.
Great value, location and class touches”
hotel is practically next to the akasaka exit. at this point of time it is still brand new. rooms were tastefully furnished and complete with basic ammenities plus a trouser presser and plasma ionizer!! added touches were they gave my wife a facial mask for each day of our stay, fragranced bath salts are self service at the lobby and free flow cofee from an expresso machine from 3pm to midnite. staff were extremely helpful and conversant in english. like most hotels in japan, size is compact but adequate. definitely recommend this hotel for its classy touches, good location and great value
Location Location Location”
Right next to the Akasaka subway and near Akasaka Mituske station as well....great restarants in the vicinity....easy to grab a cab and head to meetings in the central Tokyo area as well. Rooms are understandably small but very clean...broad band works as well.
Great hotel - Good Location ”
situated in the very attractive area of akasaka, near akasaka mitsuke with alot of restaurant and near roppongi attractive night life, the hotel is also at a very fair distance of tokyo midtown with a very nice and relaxing green area.
clean and cheap hotel”
Grand fresa akssaka is very close to the subway, only 1 min by walk from the exit 6 of akasaka station, chiyoda line. The room is very clean. Althogh the space is not very big, but it is enough for a couple to live in. Chiyoda line can not only go to ometo-sendo without change subway, but also go to kameari directly.
Perfect Location”
The location was great - it is 1 min from the Tokyo Metro Akasaka station. With a young kid, it was very convenient to get around the city. The room was a bit smaller than I expected, but was very clean and comfortable.
it's cool”
i stayed here for about 10days every my visit to tokyo. it was cool and very close to subway. and in akasaka threre are many good spots to visit. but it is very regretalbe that the check out time is too early (10 am).
