A world-class hotel with a gorgeous view”
What a great surprise this hotel was! Lovely room, great balcony, beautiful view of the sea. (Definitely worth the higher price.) Two pools, a great restaurant, what's not to love? The beach isn't much, but the constant parade of activity is great to watch. A wonderful hotel with a terrific staff.

After going to other 2 top hotels in Kupang, this one is really the best. Superb rooms, very clean, great staff of course, nice gym, nice pool, awesome (!!) Ice Kopi (try!), great interiors. If you can manage to book a room here, don't think twice.

The swimming pool is the best benefit of staying at the Sotis hotel. However, the staff is pretty poor. When we checked out, there was trouble due to the suspected missing spoon and small plate. Whereas, the cleaning service staff has taken them after we put the cutlery outside room 503. It took almost 30 minutes to figure out whether the surcharge was applicable or not. Finally, we were not charged though! Other than the above experience, it's so entertaining and relaxing to stay at Sotis Hotel.

Hotel and staff were great but know that on Saturday night this place was loud to the point that sleep was impossible. Also, restaurant menu selection was very limited...don't order pizza, wings or nachos.

Looks can be deceptive”
We checked into this hotel - and once we got into the room, our first impression was not bad at all. The room was spacious and seemed very modern. But looks can be deceptive! Within an hour we saw not one, not, but three cockroaches in the restroom. We called the reception and requested to send someone from housekeeping who could deal with this menace. We waited, and waited some more - but no one came. The next day, we complained to the people at the reception. They told us that they will spray the room to kill the roaches. Ok - fair enough. When we got back from our meetings and checked with the reception and they confirmed that they had indeed disinfected the room. Great - we went up and found 3 more roaches in the restroom and 2 more in the bedroom! So - we complained again and they agreed to move us to another room on the same floor. Great! We moved to the new room only to find that the key cardholder which switches the electricity in the room on - was broken. The card had to be inserted in a special way so that everything worked. No problem - they somehow managed to insert the key card and we had power! However - we realized soon enough that the aircon in the room wasn't cooling at all. But since we were tired, we just slept. The next day we complained at the reception once again. This time a staff named Mr. Morid was helpful and apologized before moving us to another room yet again - and offering us a fruit platter to compensate us for our troubles. This room thankfully was ok - everything worked well and there were no cockroaches to deal with! Hurrah! Also, the lobby has many mosquitoes and the air conditioning system here too doesn't seem to work. Other than that, the staff was kind and helpful - unfortunately, most do not speak English. So communication was a problem - but google translate came to the rescue in those instances. So - I would not really recommend this hotel - but maybe it was just sheer bad luck with us. Who knows? This hotel has best location in Kupang, facing the beach. Have beautiful interior in their lobby, staffs are friendly and welcomed. Highly recommend if you visit Kupang!

Fantastic hotel”
Fantastic hotel, with 2 medium size swimming pool. Location is great, and facing the sea. Beach sand should be cleaned, and maintained even not belong to the hotel, but guest will be pleased to walk around the beach without any garbage. The hotel is new, and should keep maintained to be the best performance.
