Where to stay in South Mumbai
South Mumbai hotels & accommodations

My second stay in a few years at the Residency Fort hotel. A great place to stay in Mumbai where accommodation can be very expensive. Rooms are slightly small but that's typical in Mumbai. We were upgraded to a club room in a separate annex only 25 metres from the main hotel. It was a nice room, although small as mentioned. Food and service in the restaurant is great. ...

I had stayed for a considerable time along with a friend of mine at the Ambassador, Mumbai. The 4 star rated property is a part of the chain of heritage hotels, managed by the Narang group. It is conveniently located within a walking distance from the surreal & beautiful 'Queen's Necklace' i.e., the Marine drive near the Churchgate junction. The hotel has a magnificent...

The Sea Palace is in a very good location in the Colaba district of Mumbai. Warning it is a very long cab ride from airport. The hotel is older with a slow elevator but the staff is wonderful and the hotel is safe and clean. Mumbai hotels are some of the most expensive in India so for the area this is a good deal. I would stay again.

This was our first time in Mumbai, hotel was in a good location, staff was very nice and the place felt very clean. The bathroom could improve a bit, but all in all was very clean and we always had warm water. One thing that could've been improved was the fact that we arrived at the hotel 05:00 AM but we still had to pay for a full night and not for half of it. I wi...

For me, it is the best choice to stay in South Mumbai, if you want to combine the comfortable facilities under affordable price. The employees are so helpful, really made me a wonderful stay here. Just besides the sea lane, my excellent choice on joking during the trip.

This is a decent hotel, good value for money and location is ideal to explore South Mumbai / Colaba area... Staff are nice and helpful and the rooms are small, but comfortable. Location is directly behind the Taj Hoetl and there is a nice starbucks across the road as well.. if you are on a budget and want value for money in South Mumbai, this hotel is good

A good value hotel in an excellent location in Mumbai, a small walk to the Gateway of India and Taj Mahal Hotel, and in the heart of Colaba restaurant and cafe area. House keeping staff were helpful and friendly, the room was spacious and clean with a good bed and TV, wifi etc, but the bathroom needs attention for the black mold. Breakfast included a good variety of ...

Hotel property was very well maintained.. Everything was neat n clean.. Interior at reception n lobby area were very classy.. Gud variety options for breakfast were there.. Room were spacious enough.. N d best part was location.. Near Gate of India n many famous restaurants n market

I recommend this hostel if you want to do sightseeing in south Mumbai. If you want to see things in Mid or North Mumbai, I don't recommend as you will spend a lot of time in the traffic. (But I think they have one in the north). The toilet was clean. I saw the staff member really spending time cleaning it every morning. If the management of this hostel sees this r...

Hotel food was good, stay was comfortable but room facilities and overall hotel was very old. Was only informed when i had a friend with me that I would be charged additional headcount even though my room was booked for a King size which can accomodate 2 pax. I often wonder why there is a bag checking for all guests for everytime I returned to hotel, sometimes without ...

I stayed at the Grand after a gap of many years. In the interim, the rooms appear to have been renovated. Located in a heritage building in the historic Ballard Pier area of Mumbai, most rooms overlook the busy Mumbai port. The 19th century lift has been partly modernised. The bathrooms are very good and clean, but supplies by way of soaps, shampoos etc are minimalisti...

the place looks exactly or bettter than the photos. its in a beautiful old building where the dining area is a cozy high ceiling area with cozy nooks to read in and books to borrow. the staff are friendly and quite helpful. we had arrived way too early in the morning before our check in time yet they offered us breakfast on the house that morning we arrived. wonderfu...

The hotel has been recently refurbished and it is stunning- great taste. And the sea view is amazing. The down side - that hopefully can be easily resolved is the personnel. Also the breakfast, which can be served in the fantastic terrac...

The hotel doesn't look much from the outside, but on the inside it is completely different. Very pleasant and friendly staff. The rooms were very quite clean. The hotel by itself does not have a restaurant and they only provide breakfast from 7-10 AM. But they were kind enough to get me some coffee and toast at 11:30AM. If you are visiting alone and are on a budget th...

REVIEW OF DELUXE SUITE - Very comfortable bed, huge room, beautiful big sunny windows, ocean/sunset view. For expensive Mumbai I doubt you will find better standards. We stayed in the suite as the original room we booked had only twin bed avail. Swift upgrade. Great hotwater, lots of seating (2 seperate couch areas), good breakfast of eggs of choice served in the room....

Excellent value for Mumbai standards. Well worth the money. Very clean, big rooms and helpful staff. The boss runs a tight ship, and all requests are taken seriously. The bed is a little hard, but there are sittees from which they will take the matresses and put on the bed to make really comfortable. Lots of hotwater and good shower pressure. Location excellent. Stayed in a lot of budget hotels in Colaba and I would have to say this is one of the best by far. I thought the room was clean and the staff was very good. The location is great as far as Mumbai goes. Walk to the gateway, Leopolds, etc.... all within 5 minutes. The room I stayed in was small, but it was clean so I don't care. Cheap places to stay in South Mumbai

The staff members are cooperative and ensuring support as much as they can. The room and small but proving at reasonable rate. The cleaning should be more effective. Toylets and bathrooms are cleaned enough. Overall nice hotel to stay at a reasonable rate and in main city area.

As a solo female traveler, the time I arrived in Windsor Hotel I thought it was a huge mistake. The building is old and might need a good hand, and being my first time in India, I was very concerned about the looks of the street where it was located. But let me tell you, after a couple nights staying I couldn't have asked for a better place. Personal is super kind, and...

Overall it would be 🌟 🌟 🌟 Pros: 1)Very Near to Gateway of India and southern places. 2)Looks descent 3) Staffs are friendly 4) on the Colaba street, so shopping can be done anytime 5) they can accommodate 3 people with 3 beds in a single room Cons: 1) Not sure why, there was an unpleasant cigarette smell always. Specially after every return you will face this he...

I took an AC room which was good enough. The room and toilet was also clean. Locationwise a little far from Gateway which takes 30 minutes on foot and marine drive takes 35-40 on foot. There was a little problem at the check in where the management did not know the status of my booking but after a call or two the manager realized that I had a booking. There is a TV in...

We literally had so much fun at this hotel. The rooms are defs not the cleanest nor comfiest, but the staff were so much fun and always ready to help us and the location was awesome. Fastest Internet in India which is a massive bonus. Unfortunately the bed is the hardest I've slept on in 6 months of travelling. The family is so nice and helpful. The location is good although some cabbies struggled a little to find it. Would recommend if you want a cheap room.

The location is good if you are planning to see around Mumbai. We got a good room but were not provided with bath towels etc.. Staff were very good. Our stay was very pleasant . We did not have any problem with transportation because we were very close to Victoria Station for trains and buses , so we could move around all the city with no problem ; besides we walked to mayor attractions easily . Only thing bad was the breakfast they offer : very poor . I would come back again to this hotel.
