So. Pacific Hotel Hong Kong: a great place to stay”

The hotel staff were extremely polite and helpful in getting me oriented to the hotel and its accomodations; a relief after flying from the USA and in pretty tired spirits! This was my first trip to Hong Kong, and the hotel made my stay worth the trip!
To be honest, I couldn't find anything to 'complain' about!

South Pacific Hotel Hong Kong left a superb memory of my visit to Hong Kong due to the staff's helpful and polite attitude! This is a must for all hotel accomodations worldwide, but the staff there set the example for all to follow. To make a long story short, the hotel's location is also a plus! You don't need to walk far at all to experience the positive side of Hong Kong - its people. You can meet and talk with anyone there. The hotel's location puts you right in the middle of it all. There are sightseeing trips that can be reserved for at the hotel, but that was not the purpose of my visit to Hong kong. I wanted a simple 'R&R' and I found it at South Pacific Hotel Hong Kong! I will definitely stay there during my next Hong Kong visit, and recommend it to anyone visiting HK in the future! Thanks Agoda for the easy reservation!

Great location and friendly staffs”

Buidling design is easy to remember, Nice HK city view, Loction, Cleanliness

I stay in South Pacific almost every time I visit HK on my business trip. This time I was in South Pacific Hotel for the Cosmoprof Hong Kong 2012 exhibition. The hotel provided back and forth bus service to HK Convention Center as well. Its convenient location which is situated between Wanchai and Cause Way Bay allows to save much time and its efficient and friendly staffs are a bonus. The room is quite small same as other hotels in HK are but the rest amenities are satisfactory such as clean bedlinen and towel, fast internet. The hotel even put bidet in the toliet! I am definitely going back to this hotel again in my next trip to HK. Don't miss the Shanghai restaurant in the below ground level!

wonderful time in hongkong”

staffs are friendly and the room is well clean

South Pacific Hotel is located around Wanchai business district and Causeway Bay where it is a full of shopping, dining, and entertainment area. Like Sogo, Victoria Park, Daimaru, Tower Square and etc It is also near to the Causeway Bay Mass Transit Railway station, probably 5 to 8 minutes walk. The hotel is also accessible to all Hong Kong's other kind of public transport including bus and tram. Inside the hotel, foods are great, the staff are friendly and the room is quite tidy and clean. We did enjoyed our stay and will recommend this hotel to all my friends.

Great hotel in Wan Chai”

Room was very comfortable and cozy, very clean, centrally located with easy access to everything in Hong Kong

I was only in Hong Kong for 3 nights and South Pacific Hotel was perfect for my stay. Very clean and comfortable, the staff spoke English and were very courteous and attentive. WiFi worked great my entire stay, although I didn't try the in-hotel restaurants the advertisements looked very tempting. Location was superb, many local eating options nearby and the subway was not too far, but far enough to get a good soaking of the Hong Kong vibe on the way. Would definitely stay there again.

Highly Recommended!”

It's very accessible through MTR and other public transportation. The rooms are very neat and just the right size for the money you paid for.
No free wifi.

I should have booked all my 5 nights in Hong Kong last August instead of venturing into hotel hopping to 3 other hotels. South Pacific is very accessible and that's a priority for business and shopping travelers. Since taxi rates in Hong Kong don't come cheap, this one is just 2 stations away from Central and it just costs to Tsim Sha Tsui. The beds are really cozy. The bathroom is neat. The lobby is high ceiling which gives you a feel of a 4 to 5-star hotel. For the price I paid, it was really worth it.

Great hotel with good location and friendly staff”

Very friendly staff, good location with lots of good food joints and near large shopping area

south pacific is a good hotel, tucked among various amenities, such as good restaurants, food outlets, 7-eleven (for that late night snack). it is near times square, which is on top of causeway bay mtr station, so you are not stranded. there is a night food stall selling beef innards (local delicacy), try it! the staff are friendly and always ready to help. its gym is underutilized, so go there and use it! size of the room is typical of hong kong hotels, small, but this is big in comparison to other hotels. has a nice lcd tv and toilet is clean.

excellent stay!”

hotel is very convenient to places i need to go coz accessible to mtr, tram and buses. at night when i get hungry, food is just nearby. room is clean.
not much of TV channels for foreigners.

I really enjoyed my stay in South Pacific Hotel. With my almost a week of stay, i didnt encounter any problem. Aside from price is reasonable, service is deluxe. If I need help with direction, they can provide assistance. Help with my luggages is very easy. I needed to extend my stay and they didnt give me a hard time. Travelling to places I need to go is very easy as the hotel is accessible to public transportation-mtr, buses, taxi and tram. When I get hungry at night, stores are just in the vicinity and you can find from cheap to higher prices. The lobby of the hotel is clean and decent looking. Elevator is quick. Room is clean and homy. Room service is fast. I appreciate the variety of drinks and the basic personal stuff they provide each day of stay. In general I like my stay, service and location wise. I would definitely recommend it to others. Though one thing I didnt enjoy, not much of TV channels for non chinese guests.

Comfortable and convenient hotel with provided smart phone”

We really enjoyed our stay at South Pacific Hotel. We found the location convenient right near Times Square and the causeway bay mtr entrance, and close to heaps of restaurants and shops and a couple of 7/11s. It is also just down the road from the best restaurant dim dim sum..! Our room was clean and comfortable, especially the comfy bed. However the middle of the bed was not as comfy because it felt like it was actually two singles pushed together to make a double.. the room was serviced daily and when we slept in they would check a time when would suit to clean the room. We found the provided smart phone really handy!! It had lots of handy apps and we often used it as a wifi hotspot when we're out, enabling us to use our own devices with our customised google maps etc. what a great perk. The staff were also very friendly and helpful recommending a local cheap place to do our washing which we really appreciated. Overall our 5 nights at South Pacific were very enjoyable!

My stay at South Pacific”

Location,Price & staff

This is my second time at South Pacific & it was an awesome stay. Its close to Wan chai's bars, restaurants & mosque. Its a 5 min walk to Times square/Causeway Bay MTR, 10 minutes from Happy Valley & is well connected to the rest of Hong Kong. Wan Chai in itself is a nice place for shopping. It has a young crowd & has a vibe on it & busy till late nights. I found it very safe neighbourhood. The only thing I din like about this hotel was their bathroom. It was too small( not in line with a 4 star hotel) and the toilet is really small. Otherwise I'd go back to this hotel for sure.

South Pacific Hotel”

Proximity to shopping centres, eating outlets (plentiful), clean & very good concierge & reception service - friendly and helpful, near public transport - rail & ferry
Should have internet access in the lobby so that who don't have laptops with them can utilise the service at the lobby. Should not have ashtrays in lift lobby area to discourage smokers.

Had a very comfortable stay in this hotel, clean, very good reception & consierage service. Location -- excellent, proximity to shopping centres, public transport (rail, ferry, buses etc) as well as eating outlets (local hawker food or restaurants). Would definitely stay in South Pacific again on my next visit to Hong Kong. My husband and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hong Kong.

Good cleaning, excellent quality room for the price.

whilst it was my first stay in hong kong, i travel frequently for work and found the south pacific hotel to be excellent. all staff were very courteous and had good english skills. 10 mins walk from main wan chai area and 5 mins walk from causeway bay shopping area (both with mtr stations). it's not right in the action, but it's really not far away if you don't mind a short walk (which is half the fun). i'll definitely stay there again.

Great hotel, excellent service”

Easy to walk around, convenient, excellent service

I had my parents put up in the Souht Pacific Hotel as I'd thought the hotel I was staying in would be too inconvenient for them and too cramped. As things turned out, my room at the other hotel was larger! But my parents loved the layout of the room, as the toilet does not face the beds. The room is clean and well-kept, and the linens are fresh. The location of the hotel is also convenient, being a stone's throw from Times Square and a nearby wet market that my mother particularly liked. What stood out for my parents was the friendliness of the staff. They were very helpful, courteous and ready to go the extra mile to accommodate my parents, who were quite anxious as this was their first time in Hong Kong. Definitely I will recommend this hotel.

Exceptional”

It's probably my 4th time staying at South Pacific Hotel. The hotel is located half a block from bowrington market where you can find fruits, vegetables and yes, raw meat. A half minute walk further would bring you to a strip of bakeries and restaurants where we usually buy breakfast (but the hotel offer breakfast too if you do not want to leave the hotel to grab breakfast) On this trip, I was given a room overlooking morrison hill road. the room is smaller as compared to the rooms in my previous stays and most if not all of them are on the other side of the hotel, overlooking Canal Rd. Room is clean, drapes are thick, there's a refrigerator, and you get 2 bottles of water everyday, aside from the tea and coffee mix. the bed is less comfortable as i remember them to be as i can feel the springs and the bed slants in the center like a valley. the bathroom is clean, water pressure is strong, and you get the basic bathroom accessories on your stay. definitely a 3 star hotel

One of the Best hotel in Hong Kong”

Location, Room rate and Friendlienss at front desk

I am a frequent traveller to Hong Kong, and I have always a headache for the hotels both in Hong Kong and London, which means I can't expect good room at relevant room rate, and check in/out big stress. However I am so impressed at my previous stay at this hotel. Because of the special opportunity as I had a business meeting in the afternoon on my check in day in Wanchai and following dinner appointment was also in Wanchai was set by client. I I found this hotel in Agoda. Check in was smooth, especially check out was, even as same as other China hotel they let me keep waited while room inspection, but front staff offered me to take seat, and stepped to me afterwords, said "Everything Okay", good service. One inferrior point may be hotel is located in between Wanchai and Causeway Bay subway station, and need to walk approximately 10 minutes to get to the station, since I wanted to go to Hong Kong airport train station in the morning, but taxi drivers were not willing to drive on that way due to heavy traffic jams.

Nice hotel with an excellent location”

Well spoken and friendly staff, decent room for a short stay

We had booked a Classic Standard Twin room and to our surprise we were upgraded to a Modern room at one of the top most floors giving us a very nice view of the city. Times Square is just a 5 minute walk and it connects you to Wanchai station (MTR). If traveling with less baggage, MTR is the best way to reach to South Pacific Hotel. There are couple of Indian restaurants nearby, Rang Mahal serves nice punjabi food and there is a 24 hour Mcdonalds too.

Business trip to Hong Kong”

Location, value for money, good rooms

The South Pacific is my preferred hotel for business trips to Hong Kong. Great staff, clean rooms and affordable price. There is a thriving night market/wet market near the hotel with interesting street food. Also short walk to Times Square and Causeway Bay shopping district.

Good hotel and location”

Location

I had a pleaseant 2 night stay at the South Pacific Hotel. The staff were professional and helpful, my room was clean and well maintained with sufficient amenities. Information desk were helpful and informative in arranging my excursions and the price was very reasonable. Excellent location for nighlife, shooping and as a base to explore around Hong Kong. Overall I would recommend this hotel and a very good value for money option when staying in Hong Kong.

Amazing Service”

Lobby opulent, Staff amazingly helpful

i stayed there as a last minute change of plans when my friend was unable to host me in hong kong. despite my relative age (22), the staff treated me with amazing respect and kindness. i guess i am used to american chain hotels (although i now live in seoul, south korea and i haven't seen anything like that here), but it is the little things like always jumping to open the lobby door, pressing the elevator button, helping me with my sim and internet card for my iphone, helping me fix a broken strap on my dress as i rushed late to meet a friend for the evening that made this stay so worthwhile. yes, the rooms are small, but that's not the value fault of the hotel. it's because in hong kong, expensive real estate/apartments are always small. it is millions of people living on an island...they build up, not out.
