The location is great, and it is a well known hotel. The gym was amazing, best in ANY hotel I've stayed in Asia (including ones costing 3-4x the price). The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was mostly geared towards Asians, but did have western food, and was a larger buffet. The room was clean, and actually very large. If I return to Mandalay I will stay here again!

The hotel is slightly old and amenities are basic, but I'll stay at this hotel again the next time I visit Mandalay because of the staff - they were very friendly, and the service was impressive. I accidentally tipped several of my earrings down the basin one morning, and the hotel staff took apart the pipe to retrieve the earrings while I was away for the day, and wrapped them up nicely and left them at the reception for me when I returned. I felt very welcomed throughout the stay, and I'd highly recommend staying here if you are on a modest business trip. It's within convenient driving distances of the key sightseeing sights (about 10 minutes), and is good value. Internet is also relatively reliable.

This is a very good hotel if you travel with bus or go to the airport from. The main bus station is 400m, the airport is 35 minutes by taxi. It is not in the central of Mandalay, but if you go for daytrips around Mandalay or go to U Bein bridge, or just need a layover it is perfect location. The reception speak very good English and very helpful. The rooms are clean and have newly decorated modern style.

This hotel is good overall, online score is very high, come from the bus station about 7 kilometers, can take a mini bus arrived near the main street walk or taxi from the train station can also walk for about 25 minutes, you can take a taxi, the hotel is very clean, very spacious lobby, a bed the private space is very clean and comfortable, good night sleep, the hotel clothes is also very convenient, on the top floor, breakfast is on the top floor, breakfast is good and fruit, the overall best choice to Mandalay Backpackers

Overall it is ok. The hotel is located on the main street, very easy to find but the hotel and inside look old although it was just newly renovated. The facilities did not seem to function well. The hot water system in my room was not working on the first night so I showered with cold water. The next day the hotel allowed me to change to room. Also, there is a small pool at the top floor but it does not look like a place I could relax. However, staffs are very kind and helpful. Even though, I think I can find other hotels in Mandalay with a little less facilities with a much cheaper price.

The hotel is a good option if you are on a budget. However, there may be a better choice than this. Room was clean. All staff are extremely helpful and kind, especially the lady in the front desk (the only person who can speak English), who helped us negotiate and arrange our transportation with the taxi drivers. The only issue was that wifi was down for sometime. They tried to fix it eventually.

We stayed at Rising Venus Hotel for 3 nights - it's a brand new hotel, only 1 month old. We were even invited to their official opening ceremony which took place while we were staying there (and we had so much fun!). The hotel is located on the south side of Mandalay (about 4km away from Mandalay downtown area) so it is quiet. The hotel is new so it's very clean. The rooms are quite spacious with big bathroom with a bathtub (although it doesn't have enough hot water to fill it) . But the best part of this hotel has to be the customer service. The staff were so helpful and friendly.

My wife and I stayed here over Thingyan 2016 (Myanmar New Year) and were so very happy with our stay. The only point to consider is it being a little far from the palace and other areas of interest to tourists but we had no problem walking in and out each day. This little thing is completely overshadowed by every other aspect of this lovely hotel. The staff are incredibly friendly especially the young man on the night shift whose name we neglected to catch. He always had a huge smile for us and was so eager to help. A genuinely lovely person. The rooms are clean, modern, and host every facility you could ask for. We had aircon, a window overlooking 84th St, a fridge, a powerful shower with hot water, a bathtub (where we washed our filthy backpacker rags), consistent and strong wifi, plenty of space to unpack, comfortable and clean bedding, 24-hour electricity - which in Myanmar is impressive - and a sense of security. As far as we saw there are always two guards on the door, and there is always someone on the front desk for whatever you need. They always smiled and made us feel welcome. We have been travelling for seven months so far all across SE Asia and for what we paid (under $20 per night) Jade King is the best value for your money. If you're staying in Mandalay be sure to look them up.

The reason I selected this hotel was because I wanted somewhere to have a short break after coming back from inle lake by a night bus. I arrived at the bus station around 4a.m. and took a motorcycle to the hotel with the cost of 1,000 kyatt. The staff was very helpful. They help find a taxi to mandalay international airport with the cost of 12,000 kyatt. The room was very clean and comfy. The breakfast was good (especially the fried noodle :)) I think this is a good place to stay if u need somewhere near the bus station and the airport and don’t want to go back into the central city.

Mr.T who is the general manager of this hotel. If you are lucky like us, he may change wonderfully your stay in Mandalay and even beyond the city. Because he is a such caring person that who were able to help me and my travel mate to organize a package tour Inley Lake trip in the high season at very very very reasonable price. The hotel itself was under renovations, but they are trying their best to meet a sudden demand as country gradually has been opening to the world. Reception desk staff were helpful, honest and lovely, was really fun to talk with them.

My stay in this hotel is very good! Highly recommended to all travellers and visitors of Myanmar whether on business trip or vacation/tourism or on budget traveling. I am a budget traveler and this hotel is one of the affordable hotels in Mandalay but I got more than what I paid for. The hotel staff and management are the best. They are nice, friendly, attentive and helpful. The hotel is very new so you can expect that the rooms and all the things inside the hotel are new, clean, organize and well maintained. They allowed me to stay in the room until 6:00pm even I already checked out 12noon while waiting for my bus. Before my departure, they offered me a traditional burmese snack. They are so kind to do this for a hotel guest. And they also brought me to the bus station and even helped me to buy bus ticket. They also have standby power generator. The wifi is working. Hot & Cold shower is working good. Good water pressure. Minibar available in the room. Safety deposit box available in the room. Good security. CCTVs are all over the hotel. You get a nice view of the city at their restaurant. One thing I want to suggest is that I hope there are more TV channels so that foreigners like me would be able to watch some shows in english. Other than that, the hotel is very nice for the price I paid. Two thumbs up!

Staff were friendly - at F&B they were accommodating to our (what-must-seem-weird-to-them) requests, offered to watch my toasting bread and bring it over to me when it was done, re-do a sunny side up egg for my friend when she ended up with an omelette instead, etc. We had early an check-in, and room extension for half-day before checking out - all handled seamlessly and in a friendly manner by staff. Our room even had a cooking stove, and a full-sized fridge. We were so appreciative of the room (after 2 nights spent on overnight buses) we didn't see these until we came back in the evening. The only 'issue' was the bathroom - the water did not drain fast enough, and it seem like the opposite end of the 'cubicle' was lower so water went out the cubicle (despite a 'foam bar' was taped to the floor) and headed for other drain hole on the opposite side of the bathroom. Most of it ended up flowing under basin area, so the toilet was still OK to use (not like it was flooded).

We stayed over night at Mandalay Kandawgyi Inn as we waited to transit oversea. The hotel was new (one and a half year). As we looked on the map, it locates out of Mandalay town (South of Mandalay town). But it was good for us as it was only 15 minutes to U Pain Bridge and about 45 minutes to International Airport. Also it got very nice view as its nearby the lake. As we were here, we impressed by the friendly service and comfortable of the room. I would recommend for traveler who doesn't want to stay in town.

Location of the hotel is hard to review as it depends on where do you want to go. They don’t have any form of MRT or city train station so it all about walking around and moving with taxi. Staff are very friendly and helpful and even when their English proficiency is not very good, they will still tried their very best to assist you. Overall, good for money because it’s nice and well maintained.
