Above average”
The manager was friendly but the room was not the room I booked. I booked a single balcony room and got a double room, they told me it was all that was left but I would have much rather had the room I booked and prepaid. The TV didn't work but they gave me a remote for the second night and it worked. My room wasn't cleaned, towels changed, or toiletries replenished. There was no safe in the room as indicated online and I was told they don't keep stuff at the front desk either. Towels were off colored and stained as we're bed sheets. Room door was off one hinge and had to be manually moved into place before closing.

Good spot in central location”
We stayed here for three nights on the 4th floor. Our room got very very hot during the day and the AC struggled a bit to keep the room cool but worked fine after a while. Although it's a sweaty climb, the room was very clean and cozy and came with a large fridge and comfy beds. Bathroom was spotless and very spacious. Regarding the staff: The owner is very friendly and helpful and is around most of the time to give you advice, but the other staff members do not speak English at all, which can be a little frustrating at times. Not a huge issue though. There's an ATM just next to the entrance which is handy when you need cash. You can withdraw both US$ and Riel. Short walking distance to the Royal Palace, some temples and a local market as well as some good street food options.

Good stop-over”
Needed a place to crash, wasn't feeling best. Room was on top floor (no lift). One of the staff kindly carried my bags up the four floors. Slept well. Hostess Sophie kind and knowledgable.

Nice guesthouse, great location”
It's a nuce guesthouse, the owner is a lovely woman who helped us in everything we needed. The only problem that from all her staff she is the only one that speaks English and when she's not around no one can help. The guesthouse location is great, next to the river and the royal palace. AC was working ok and there were hot water in the shower. Room was a little bit small.

Great stay at Sovanphum”
We had a great time at Sovanphum's Guesthouse! The manager, Sophie, made our experience relaxed and enriching. She knows so much about Cambodia, and she answered every one of our many questions. She helped arrange trips, find fair prices, and teach us about Phnom Penh. When we come back, we'll definitely stay with her again!

Excellent value!”
The rooms are clean and surprisingly spacious. Location is beyond excellent - a corner away from the Royal Palace, National Museum and Wat Oulomn. The river bank is 1 min. walk too... Wifi available, working without a hitch. The staff was very friendly. We booked through them also the Killing Fields/S21 visit and the minivan to Siem Riep. Prices and services were very good. Highly recommended!

Straight up scammed”
After 15 hours of long, grueling travel, I show up to this guesthouse that I had booked one week earlier. There are two young girls on the ground floor looking confused as to why on earth I would be there. They spoke no English and called someone who did. I explained to the woman on the phone that I had made a reservation at this hotel. I handed the phone back and they grabbed a young man from out front. Then he lead me to an entirely different hotel. This hotel was absolute garbage. No windows, smelled like mold, depressing as can be. At first I tried to demand a better room but the staff became irate and started yelling at me telling me it was impossible. At this point it was pouring rain and I had already paid online so there was nothing I could do. No explanation was ever given to me. During 2 years of world travel I rarely have a hotel story as frustrating and terrible as this one. Do not book with this scammy, horrible palace of lies and deception.

Good”
Nice little restuarante. Booked an airconditioned van through the guesthouse for S21 and Killing fields for only 7$ more than the absolute cheapest tuktuk you might find. The room was nice for the most part; beds were squishier than most SE Asian beds, which was nice for us! There were some little bugs in the room, but I'm unsure how much of that is just from living in that kind of climate. There were a few stains on the bedding but it wasn't like they didn;t look clean; they were totally fresh linens. The staff (Lady and her kids) were really nice and always gave us water when we asked for it. All in all it was a good place and we would probably stay there again if we ever go back
