BeiTou holiday
The receptionist/ counter is poor in service. We checked in around 6.30pm. We booked the room with window, but she assigned us without window and claimed that this is what they have at the moment. I eplained to them, I booked through Agoda and Agoda provided this option with window. She asked me to complained to Agoda. Really poor service. Finally the Manager came out and ask us to wait for 2 hours. We managed to get the rooms with window at 8.30pm. I am upset with this arrangement. The hotel should have ready the room for check in geberally by 3pm, right? Another point, our rooms were no cleaned on the second day. 1 good point is, the outdoor hotspring is good.

First time at spa resort
Slightly expensive at $150 per night average, this is double of all the rest of the accomodations in this Taiwan trip. This hotel does not have the best of reviews as location is not directly outside the xin bei tou mrt station. It is located at the end of the road near to all the rest of the worthy attractions and a leisure 10 minutes away from xin bei tou station. This is one of the few hotels that allows check in at 3 pm instead of 7 pm where hotels actually rent out the rooms in the day. We arrived early and were not allowed early checkin. When we finally checked in, the lady at the reception was rather grumpy and rattled off very quickly in Mandarin like a machine gun, so all the best to those who arent conversant in the language. Room was nice and clean and spacious, window didnt really have a view. Restaurant on 5th floor has a way better view. Very good range of toiletries provided. Bathroom looks a little old but was still acceptable. Spa tub piped water from hot springs was spacious. The tub filled up fast, but needs to be careful with the hot water coming out from it. No separate shower, so you shower in the same tub as the spa tub. Dont forget to visit the public spa pool at the roof top. Its open till late. Breakfast is typical taiwanese porridge with condiments. They have toast, and delicious chinese buns. Not so good for those who are expecting international breakfast. Hotel also provides eggs for you to have some onsen eggs fun. Dont forget to redeem. I would return here again.

Hot Spring Resort
Got hot spring; complimentary shuttle service to Beitou station; good hot spring noodles
Good in-room hot spring. However, staffs need to improve on housekeeping, especially since I had paid TWD 800/ night for 3rd pax & yet I need to inform staffs on daily basis to give me the paid toiletries. But they do have big jacuzzi for hot spring bath

Very disappointed
spa tub in the room
When we arrived, since we have 3 guests altogether, but we just booked a room for 2-person, we need to add NTD800 for the extra person. This was fine because it was our own mistake. Since we had paid that money, we were entitled to extra amenities for that extra guest. However they did not give us the amenities and breakfast coupon until I asked for at least 3 times. The room was very small, windowless and dark. We tried to find out why and turned out we discovered that some lights in the room were out-of-order! They never thought of fixing it if we didn't ask them to. But when we asked them to fix it, the staff's attitude was so bad and thought we were too demanding and troublesome. We did not want a wasted journey so we tried our best to tolerate. When we had the spa bath in the room at night, the bathroom floor became very wet and they did not provide enough mat/towels. Another thing - the breakfast was poor. They didn't even have basic fried eggs or cereals and the porridge was tasteless, not to mention the coffee. This hotel is not recommended!!
