Comfortable stay”
I had a great time during my stay in Space Boutique Hostel. All the staffs was always friendly, kind, smiling and had great hospitality. Their hospitality made me feel like staying home. Room was very cleen and comfortable. They have a fancy coffee machine and you can enjoy nice coffee anytime. Water is free. They do the laundry for you with minimum price. Single rooms doesn't have windows but less noisy compared to the rooms with windows. Location is also very convenient. If you decide to stay this hostel, I'm sure you woudn't regret. I will stay ths hostel when I come back to Yangon again.

Brand new and agreeable stay ”
When we checked in to Space Boutique, we knew it was a newer hostel, since there weren't any reviews online. "So when did you open?" "Today." "Whoa, really?" "You are our first guests." After checking in it was lucky we happened to ask this question, not sure they would have told us otherwise! Overall, we had a good experience. Pros: The room and bathrooms were very clean. The staff was extremely, extremely eager to please. Since we were the first and only guests, it was like having our own private staff. They greeted us with drinks and gave us a plate of fruit to snack on. Also, we thought the location was great. It's in a busy area of Yangon and we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Cons: since it is so new, they were still ironing out some kinks when we got there, such as setting up the wifi (which was slow everywhere we went in Myanmar). Also the furniture was a bit awkward - there was no surface in the room where we stayed, only a bed and two chairs. They could also use some loungey furniture in the common space, which was mostly empty. Also, not their fault, but there was building construction across the street which continued into the middle of the night. We'd recommend Space Boutique for their hospitality, and overall a nice quality room. Given limited lodging options in Yangon, we would probably stay there again. It seems like they will learn as they go, as they were still renovating the space during our stay.

Great hostel with great value”
Almost pains me to leave such a good review because surely as they gain popularity they will increase their price, but this hostel is seriously great. The washrooms and showers are super clean, and the beds are comfy. They offer shower gel and shampoo in the washroom, and also have a washer and dryer you can use. Free coffee whenever you feel, and a fridge to cool your drinks down! Only cons are that they staff do not speak much English(but are friendly) & the rooms themselves have limited space for bags, etc. Also area between bed and wall is dusty/dirty. Would definitely return! (In fact, I tried to this week when I returned to Yangon, but they were all booked up :( )

Very value for money hostel, right in down town.”
This hostel is right in the city center. Its very convenient to travel to other tourist attractions via bus 61 (200 kyat) on the main street to help shorten the walking distance. Also only around the corner is Sule Mall which has City Market grocery store on ground floor. Food there will cost higher than outside, but the drinks here cost cheaper than buying on the street. e.g. 1 can of coke cost 420 kyat at this grocery store, but cost 500 kyat on the street. The bed at the hostel is clean, except lots of dirt under the bed. Toilet is clean but very small. Showering area super clean with water heater. The hostel also provides towels, shampoo, soap, and tissue. Free drinking water in the kitchen, so be sure to bring empty bottle for refill. This helps alot when you are going outside in the heat. The stireway to walk up to the hostel is scary, dark, dirty, and smelly. But once reached the hostel, its a paradise there. Hostel owners are super friendly and helps their guests to get around places. It would be best to talk to them first before you start to explore Yangon as they can give very good advices. From experience, Taxi in Myanmar cheats foreigner alot. They will try to ask for 10,000 kyat right away, while charging locals only around 5,000 kyat. Taxi in Myamar has no meter so need to negotiate. Normally ago anywhere for locals will cost around 5,000 - 6,000 kyat. But for foreigner they will ask for 9,000 - 10,000 kyat. Maybe foreigner can negotiate down to 7,000 - 8,000 kyat when going to airport or highway bus station. But if you do so, they will cheat you on something else e.g. lied to you that the parking entrance is 1,000 kyat when its actually 200 - 300 kyat. Overall the hostel is perfect, but the taxi experience is a shame.

Best kept secret in Yangon”
The budget hotel scene in Yangon is slowly improving, but has until recently been pretty dire. Space is definitely changing that--more like a budget hotel than a hostel, it is brand new, spotless, and has refreshingly kind and attentive staff. The place looks a bit like a corporate office (gray is the predominant color and it's carpeted) and not all rooms have windows, but the trade off is that it's incredibly clean, air conditioned and there is fast wifi. A simple breakfast is included. It's a bit hard to find (you literally have to part the hanging clothes in a stall downstairs and climb 4 steep flights in a building) but I liked to think that gave it a speakeasy feel :)

A hidden jem!”
We had a great stay at this hostel. The staff were some of the most accommodating people we met. They keep the place very clean, are always available at the front desk for questions, and even prepare a delicious egg and fruit breakfast in the morning. I can tell they are always eager to make their hostel the best in Yangon! It definitely seemed like a hostel that felt like a hotel, which I enjoyed. The hostel also has a free Nescafe machine which was awesome. We stayed in the private room and though it was noisey due to traffic, we still slept great. Would recommend to any aged traveler.

Great value for money”
Of the 3 downtown hostels we stayed in Yangon (the others were SAT and 30th Corner), this was by far the best! It has the most updated/renovated facilities, more of the chill backpacker feel while still being very nice with super clean bathrooms, nice bedroom, fluffy towels, and simple breakfast included, plus free-flow cappuccino machine. Best functioning A/C too hah! We wanted to stay longer but they were booked up. Only problem is the Wifi didn't work the first day but did the second.

The best budget place in Yangon ”
The location is top, just right downtown Yangon. The price is pretty ok for what you will get, even the room is small but they make it good with the best linen. The service is perfect, from the front desk to the breakfast table. This new hostel will be A NEW FACE of Yangon!

Good hotel for the price”
Nice stay in this hotel. Location is very good and I found the rooms and bathroom very clean! Staff is very helpfull (booking bus tickets, giving direction and ways to go to places around Yangon). No window in the room but most of the similar hotel are the same, + you can't expect more for this price, as hotels in Yangon are quite expensive. They should improve the breakfast that I found too simple, why not some marmelade?

Best budget hostel in Yangon”
This was so far one of the best budget hostels I've stayed in. It's located I. The heart of Yangon downtown. Cheap and good food next door, pagodas just a few minutes walking, same as train station to take the circular train, which is one the things you cannot miss. I totally recommend this hostel. You won't be disappointed.

Best hostel in Yangon!”
I have stayed in multiple hostels in Yangon and this one is easily the best! Perfect central location near Sule Paya. Dorm bed was so comfortable with a huge fluffy white duvet. They have free coffee (Nescafé machine with several different types to choose from) and free drinking water. Wifi was pretty good (for Myanmar standards) and shared bathroom was clean.

Fantastic stay”
Great location. Clean, new hostel with great aircon to escape the yangon heat. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Great breakfast. Would definitely stay again. Only suggestion would be better signs to mark the stairway to the hostel as it is a little hard to find, otherwise my stay was perfect

A cool and clean hostel in a convenient location”
I arrived early in the morning after an overnight bus ride - the staff let me check in and shower right away. The facilities were new and very clean, which exceeded my expectation for a hostel. What impressed me the most was the helpfulness of the staff members - which made my stay in Yangon very pleasant. Thanks!

small but friendly”
We had difficulty finding good accomodations in Yangon. We are a couple in our 50's, and have been able to find accomodations throughout southeast asia with attached bathroom for $20-40 USD. Yangon, however, was different. Couldn't find reasonablly priced room with attached bath. This tiny hotel is hidden on the third floor of a bustling block. The staff seemed to be mostly young men who were friendly, but spoke almost no english. Our room was tiny, as well, with no place to hang up anything, so we were constantly tripping over our bags. There are good, hot showers, bathroom stalls so small my knees practically hit the door. Living area where they served breakfast was fun, there were barstools set up and you could look out over the street and watch the chaos below. Only two comfortable chairs in the living area, that always seemed to be filled, they need a couch or something. Favorite thing: the coffee machine where you could choose from lattes, capuchino, mocha, etc, and drink as much as you want. Brilliant. Other best part: three excellent Indian food restaurants 1-2 blocks away. So, this place was a mixed bag, we liked the location, and we enjoyed our time here, but it was the smallest and least comfortable room we've had in our 2 month travels. The staff did their best with what they had. They helped us find the ATM and organized a taxi for us when we left, which was much appreciated, since people speak so little english.

Very cheap and strategic place”
This place is very cheap for backpacker. They provide free water and coffe (7-4pm). The location is in downtown, you just walking around a. 5 min to Bogyoke Market, b. 10-15min to China town, c. 5 min to Sule Pagoda, d. 15 min to central post office e. 10 min to Theingyi Market (cheaper than Bogyoke Market The space in the room is small but comfortable because the provide communal space. If you need taksi you can call/sms Timothy 09960881600 he can speak English an give good price,

Nice and clean with cheap price”
The hostel is very close from Sule pagoda as the center of Yangon. It also close from bus stop which go to Shwedagon pagoda. The staff are nice and helpful. They do laundry with only 1500 kyat/kg including dryer. The breakfast is simple but they cook egg :)

Set the bar high as the first hostel I tried!”
Recently had a two part trip to Yangon, booked this one for the first part, and it exceeded any expectations of a hostel. It was a good value for money, cheap as expected, located right in the middle of everything so everything was on walking distance, the place was also clean, although the bathroom was shared it was quite clean and maintained. Facilities are okay, the most notable one is the blanket, you can expect a good night sleep with those. And most notable one is the staff, very kind, very eager to help, always smiling, and always love a good talk. They speak good enough english to have a decent conversation, so no worries!

Great and Nice Hostel find in old Yangon”
Awesome, friendly staff and great central location near Sule Pagoda, though car traffic can be heavy in this part of town. Great hostel owner and service staff who are ever helpful and the location is just right above Nilar Briyani Restaurant which serves some of the best Indian food I ever had, plus its just a couple f blocks down to 999 Shan Noodle Shop too! Only smallish quibble if I really want to nitpick is they should position the door bell lower for not so tall people :P and the shower water pressure if it can be improved further. Will stay again when I come back to Yangon!
