*the room is comfortable. there is locker and shelf to place personal belonging and a individual lamp. Even tho the room light is turned off, you could still enjoy your own time without disturbing others. *the bathroom is super clean.They clean like 5 time a day.Whenever I go, it is so clean and tidy that I enjoy the bath so much. *Also, there is a large kitchen and well equipped with different pan and even rice cooker.There are staff to clean it every day. The kitchen is so clean and tidy, without any smell. *Besides, there is a large rooftop. You could enjoy the sun. *The hotel is well located. The free tram station is just 2 to 3 walk away. Just wall to to state of the library and you could access to most tourist site. *staff are nice and helpful. A indian staff helped me to call a taxi on my last day. Recommend to all who want comfortable accomodation with limited budget. If I stay longer, I think i would meet more friend.I think I would choose space hotel again.

I hate paying for hotel facilities I don't use. hate sycophantic hotel staff kowtowing. don't like stuffy, tiny, cramped rooms. so Space Hotel Executive room is perfect. large, clean, light room, basic furniture, polite and friendly staff, comfy bed. large backpackers' kitchen, but you probably want to bring your own plates and cutlery, though plenty of cooking pots and pans. hot water on every floor. no restaurant or coffee shop, but with 7/11 almost next door you can get reasonable coffee at half hotel prices. close to dozens of Melbourne's restaurants, cafes and bars. bustling with bright young backpackers always around.... shhhh don't tell anyone this is a gem for grumpy old men like me.

Warm and comfortable ”
We really enjoyed our 5 nights here. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. It was just a short walk from Chinatown, Queen Victoria Market & Lygon Street. It was also very near to the train station & the free tram zone stop where we could catch a city circle tram. We booked a family room that accomodate 4 people. Though it was not spacious but it was comfortable, clean and keep us warm. We will definitely love to stay again in the future.

The room was good, comfortable and clean. Rahul at the front desk ensured I had a smooth check in and guided me on how to get a SIM. The food area was clean and spacious. The easy accessibility of hot water at every floor made it feel like an upgraded version of a hostel. I would definitely recommend this hotel as it is accessible to the popular restaurants and malls at walking distance. As a solo traveller I felt safe. The only drawback was the Wi-Fi service which is limited to 250mb.

There’s a first time for everything, and I loved it.”
Right off the bat, the staff were pretty helpful and smiley. The rooms were clean and calm. Obviously when renting a dorm, you wouldn’t expect all occupants to behave likewise, but I must say it was worth the money. Location wise too it’s in the city literally. All things considered, I loved it based on my experience obviously and would recommend it to anyone.

I stayed 3 nights in twin room shared bathroom. staffs were so nice and friendly and room condition was awesome, no need to explain, bathroom was sooooo clean. Location is so close with shopping area and library. if you looking for a hostel to stay in Melbourne? you should check this one out.

I booked a twin room expected backpacker style rooms and was very pleasantly surprised. I am 62 and will stay here again. Lifts took me to my level, comfortable bed and A/C & TV, very clean quiet room and shared bathrooms. Easy transport by tram everywhere and only a short walk to the hotel. Staff are more than helpful.

A good place that worth to come again”
The location is good, easy to access the large shopping mall but located in a quiet area. 10 minutes walking distance to China Town. The room is simple setting but clean. Our family enjoy to stay there very much and the staff is very nice. We will come again.

I had a great stay at Space Hotel, although I wasn't there for long enough to spend much time to really enjoy all the facilities, I noticed the gym and entertainment room looked amazing, and the kitchen facilities and balcony too. Room is spacious and clean, I especially like the big common kitchen where guests are allowed to cook and dine in. The hotel is located strategically in Melbourne CBD, short walking distance to major shopping malls, tourist attractions and Chinatown. The room is not expensive, value for the money. Awesome stay with reasonable pricing and clean room”
I was in a queen bed room with share toilet. Staff are friendly and facilities are awesome with reasonable prices. I have extended my stays for 2 times due to schedule changes. They have tried to make me in the same room for my convenience. We can cook and store food in fridge. Free coffee and tea packets available Slightly noisy before 10pm and early in the morning as school kids are in other rooms during the stay. Overall it is good and will come back again if thee is chance. The only thing is that no transportation from hotel to Avalon airport or southern cross station which is painful for traveller with big luggage.

Very Clean in Perfect Location”
I booked Double Bed Private Room (with Shared Bathroom) and it was Perfect! The room size is okay for a solo traveler like me. They provide basic stuffs like towels, tea and coffee in your room, also room heater. The bathroom although it's shared but was spotlessly clean. They have Theater Room that could fit 25 people, Fitness Center, Bars, and the Rooftop Deck that I didn't use because it was raining and cold when I was there in mid September. The location is just awesome, in CBD and in front of Old Prison that is super interesting for me. Overall happy with the stay!

Value for money stay in Melbourne! ”
It's my 2nd time to stay at the Space Hotel and the experience is consistently good. The staff are helpful enough to assist us with our concerns. It's conveniently located near (walking distance to) the State Library of Victoria, Melbourne Central Station and Queen Victoria Market, great spots for shopping and to kill time on the last day of vacay. Restrooms are clean but there's no bidet. Elevators can sometimes be slow but it's manageable, the building is not too high so taking the stairs will be fine. Overall, I don't mind these minor inconveniences, the value for money and functionality still outweigh them and I won’t have second thoughts of staying at Space Hotel again.

That was nice hotel, it is located in the centre of city and easy to access via tram. There are many facilities in the hotel (theater, pool, gym, lounge, bar), The staff is friendly and they have big and nice room (i stayed at 4 dorm bed). Reccomended for solo and budget traveller

There was nothing to complain about our stay at Space hotel. We stayed at the 6 bed girl's dorm. The shared bathroom was not a communal bathroom but individual separate rooms which was a nice change for dorm style accommodation. Good location (nearby State Library Victoria) , good facilities, room and toilet were clean. Public eating space / kitchen was spacious and clean, there was even a mini movie hall. Would recommend for budget travelers
