Great Central Location, clean and cheap!”

Friendliness and helpfulness of staff, excellent location - 5 mins to main train station (Gare du Nord), clean, comfy and affordable!! Woo!

I arrived at Gare du Nord train station, Paris from the CDG airport (easy - phew!) and found that St Christopher's Inn was easy to find once you navigated yourself out of the station and found your bearings on Rue de Dunkurque (walk towards the post office). Although I arrived early they were very friendly and offered me a shower to freshen up and (paid) lockers to hold my stuff until 2pm check in. If you forget anything like a towel (whoops!), you can rent one for the length of your stay as well as buy other basic essentials. I found the staff very informative, spoke English well and tried their best to accommodate my every need. The room (6 mixed dorm) and bed linen were really clean (amazing doona!), warm and secure. You also got a massive drawer to lock your stuff in under your bunk. The showers were good but the cleaning agent/or disinfectant in the showers/communal bathroom was pretty stinky?! I also found it difficult to keep pressing the shower button whilst having a shower due to a neurological disorder in my arm but I managed. They were of a decent size so you could get changed in the cubicle without getting your clothes wet. The food at night was good (I'm a vegetarian - burger pattie was really dry) but not fantastic. The continental breakfast was on the other hand great and good quality! Baguettes, cheese, cereal, coffee, juice, etc. nice. I also used the laundry facilities up stairs (about 5 Euro wash and dry), which was good. Overall my stay there was great and will stay there again en route back to Oz. Can't really fault anything of locker, towel rent and laundry costs as well as stinky bathrooms but otherwise the location is pretty darn awesome! Thanks guys and gals. Looking forward to seeing you all again!! Oh and the free day tour with Roberta through Paris is so worth it!! Just rug up and don't drink too much coffee beforehand (no toilets!! ha!).

Comfortable, convenient and cheap!”

Fast internet, comfortable beds, bar downstairs

St Christopher's Inn is a great option for anyone looking for a cheap but comfortable hostel. It forms a part of the new trend of decking out hostels in a youth friendly fashion with colour, comfort and cheap dining/drinking at a downstairs bar. It has a fast internet connection, the beds are decked out with necessities (plug point for charging, little light) and allows for quick check in and out. It's very close to Gare Du Nord which allows easy access to the rest of Paris. Would definitely recommend!

Great 2 night stay in Paris”

Fast internet, access to public location, comfortable stay

I stayed in private double room with ensuite with a friend for a 2 night sightseeing visit to Paris. It was a quick to access location from Gare du Nord (North Train Station). Simply walked out of the station to the left and in about 2 quick street crossings is the hotel. I arrived at night, like the other reviews I've read, the area can seem a little shady. I would move quickly, but I didn't encounter any issues. I wouldn't stop for any strangers. I've learned that you have to be careful throughout Paris for pickpockets and Cons towards tourist. Overalll, the check in was quick and easy. THE INTERNET WAS FAST AND CONSISTENTLY ACCESSIBLE THROUGHOUT! There were many young people around which didn't cause a problem. We were a couple in our 30s. There is a lively bar at night. I was on the 5th floor, which you could litely hear music at night from the bar, but not that much to cause any problems. There was no TV in my room, but seem to be a hookup for one. Nice size bed and cleans linens. I had to ask for clean towels. No room service was given during my stay. I would recommend it.

Great Stay, Great Value, Clean, Friendly and Fun!!”

Clean, modern and thoughtful design, location

Very accessible location, less than 5 mins walk from Gare Du Nord and from there you can take metro to anywhere in Paris!! Though the area is a little sketchy when the night falls. Free unlimited supply of breakfast is added bonus for those travelling in budget. Spacious bunk bed with personal light, curtain, plug and the best part is the USB charging port!!Bboth the dormitory area and bathroom are clean only one note is that the water in the shower room was too hot. Staff members were very friendly and helpful in answering all your queries. The lounge next to it, Belushies was incredible at night with daily events and special price for fellow hostel guests and breakfast is served here every morning!! Definitely a highly recommended stay when you visit Paris!!

I came to spend my bday weekend in Paris and couldn't imagine better place for a single treveller to stay. Everything's clean, nice, Paris-spirited. Oh, and those beeeeds...after long days strolling up and down the city it was like sleeping on the cloud! Merci beaucoup pour cette expérience merveilleuse!!!

It's a cool place!”

1) Information. It helped me a lot that they have a lot of information (maps, suggested tours, etc.) available; 2) The location is just near train station; 3) The staffs are friendly.

It was great! They have all available information you need to go around the city's attractions. It helped me a lot to maximize my time in Paris, to visit most of the attractions in just 3 days! And since the location is just near Gare du Nord Station, it is very convenient to reach the place from the airport (CDG) and go to tour sites. The Belushi's bar is also cool. The ambience is sporty and their buffalo wings taste damn good! The room and bed is so so... It's a standard for hostels I guess. The rest room is also just ok. Nothing fancy. Overall, it is cool! 😎

Just a two-min walk from the main entrance of Gare du Nord. For those with big luggage, you don't need to carry it at all as you are able to find escalator/lift all the way from CDG airport to the exit of Gare du Nord. Even the hostel has lift taking you to your room. Hostel is super clean. The bed, the toilet, the shower room everywhere is clean. Each bunk has bed curtain for privacy. There are two power socket

The choices limited but left us really full * You feel secured with all the key cards and locks in place * Location was a 2 minute walk to Gare du Nord *There is a grocery like 1 min walk from the entrance of the hotel (an indian owns it i think that is why there is rice for us! wohoooo) CONS: *The cups and some utensils for the breakfast was not that clean especially the coffee cups which were filthy. But other than that this place is perfect!

Location, clean, and friendly staff

Even though this is more of a hotel than a hostel, I still enjoyed my stay. The staff was friendly and helpful, room was big and very clean, WiFi was free and accessible throughout the hostel, and it is situated right next to a major train station (Gare Du Nord). They have activities setup and free tours daily to help you maximize your experience. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Great value for Paris”

Modern, clean, central

Modern building, comfortable room/bed with curtains at the beds that give you some privacy, electricity plugs for each bed, decent breakfast considering it's included. The gare du nord area is not the nicest in Paris but it's very central, you can reach quickly and easily most of the places of the city. The only downside would be the cleanliness of the bathroom that was not kept all the time. Having tried other hostels in Paris, this one is definitely a great value for money in the city.

I stayed with 10 people inside the room and the bathroom/toilet is outside the room and shared it with other travelers. The room I stayed was clean, there’s a sink inside and a body mirror which I really liked. Each bed has a curtain so you can cover yourself when u sleep. Location was easy to find very near to Gare du nord and gare du l’est. Restaurants and grocery store are nearby. The only thing I didn’t like was the toilet. I really wish there’s a water spray inside the toilet. If u know what i mean. 😅

Good hostel, good price”

Had a bed in the 8-person dorm for 4 days, wasn't a problem for me. Close the curtains of the bed and you'll already have a lot of privacy. Be aware that the rooms can be incredibly hot, at least mine was. Lucky we got some fans at reception after asking. Showers are alright, same for the toilets. There's a bar downstairs but I've only entered once, looks ok. Nice selection of supermarkets and restaurants/take-away around the hostel. The location is what really makes the hostel, you literally just cross the street to Magenta to get inside Gare du Nord. Republique, Montmartre, Gare de l'Est and more are all within walking distance of the hotel. Before I went on this trip I've read reviews calling out the people around the neighborhood but I didn't have any problems with the locals. Keep your stuff stashed away safely and don't mind people bothering you. I'd recommend St Christopher's to anyone who doesn't mind sharing a room with, and isn't afraid of, strangers

Neat and tidy hostel”

Location

The location is superb! It's just a 3 min's walk from the huzzle and buzzle Gard du Nord. I was not able to check in at the time I arrived, so I had to deposit my luggage, and I must say I was a bit disappointed when I was told that I needed to rent the lockers even though I was a guest of the hostel. The room isn't always fully occupied; there were mostly just 2-3 guests. Some were here just to sleep and prepare for the departure from Gare du Nord the next day. But generally I wouldn't say the surrounding is good. There were parties three out of my six nights' stay in the bar downstairs and there were rock music n dancing until 1am. Sometimes the guests next door were very noisy and they banged the door/wall and jumped up and down in the middle of the night! Also there was one night when 2 people checked in as late as 4am, waking up the whole room! Breakfast was fine but not diversified .. Cereal, ham, bread and jam.. That's it! But enough for you to stuff your belly and it's okay as to free breakfast with a cheap room rate.

Rowdy hotel. Best for young and adventurous. ”

Convenient location. Bar below offers last minute food/drinks options.

There is no luggage deposit service. You need to use the lockers at the basement. It can get really rowdy at night, and the building design enhances the noise, as the bar is right in the middle of a squarish establishment with rooms. The breakfast is simple but this is Paris. The bar food prices and options are ok, you can get similar prices elsewhere despite the discount offered. I stayed in a private room, but the price is simply too high for thin walls, no a/c and rowdy bars and loud conversations at the corridors, across buildings (people can talk across the building since it's squarish). This is best for young people to party at night and explore paris. The surrounding can be a little tricky. Gare du Nord is full of people who look a little like homeless or hooligans hanging around the station. There are also many gypsies who will ask you to donate some money for deaf children, probably waiting for you to show the wallet and steal from you. That said, Gare du Nord is a great terminal for trains and metro to get around paris.
