    Fantastic Location”

St Giles provides you with almost unrivalled ease to London tube and incredily close to the Tootenham Court tube station. There are many eateries nearby, a nice crepe cafe just beside St Giles and Primark and other clothing stores opposite the road. I would recommend if you plan to watch shows at London West End, very walkable to most theatres.

    Pros and Con”

This hotel is definitely worthy for the price based on the location. Based on what we observed, there is no air-con in this hotel and only fan was provided. but fortunately, we visited the hotel during Winter so everything was alright. Shower room was small and managable.

    great location/3 stars hotel”

I stayed in a regular double room for 4 nights. Their location is great..especially if you are into shopping. Oxford street is just a step away. Tottenham court road station for tube 1 min away. You could walk to Soho for pub hopping. There are lots of restaurants and a supermarket. Their breakfast is i guess English style which is fine but exactly same menu every day.(coffee, tea, milk, bacon, ham, cheese, beans, scramble eggs, boiled eggs, yogurt, prune etc) I felt a room is a bit bigger than average in London. Shower is tiny though. The building is old but no particular issue for me. St. Pancras station 10 min/6.5 euro by uber...a bit over 1 hour to Heathlow airport by tube Piccadilly line.

Very well located - just round the corner from Tottenham Court Road Tube - minutes from Oxford Street and Covent Garden only a short walk away with shops, restaurants and all the delights of London Town ! Hotel extremely busy - lots of large groups but staff were helpful at all times despite the obvious pressure In need of an update but nevertheless very clean and quiet although in Central London Would revisit if the coffee at breakfast improves - my only complaint .....

Nice hotel in a good locaion.”

great location , close to Soho, Oxford Street and other West End areas. Single room was tiny, I expected that but not so good if have large luggage, so I would possibly look at a larger room next time. But it was clean and had most things you needed. Did not use breakfast and restaurants etc but plenty of places to eat and supermarket nearby. Staff I encountered were friendly and very helpful, especially Night manager, but cant remember her name. Would recommend and stay again if I was lucky enough to be able to go to London again.

Great value hotel in a central location”

Great value for money and in central location that is well suited for Oxford Street, The British Museum and The West End. Staff were lovely and an earlier check-in wasn't an issue. Rooms were fine for the price point. My major gripe is that they charge you £5 per-session to access the gym(?! ) which I can't see outlined on either Agoda's site, or St. Giles own Website. This is the first hotel I've stayed in globally (and believe me, there have been plenty) that expected guests to pay for usage of their gym!

    Comfortable Room, location, price

Stayed at this hotel before. I choose this hotel because of the price, but also because of its location. It is near Oxford Street and close to the West End. I also like the room with its en- suite bathroom. Overall I was very happy with the comfort and what I was paying.

    Location, Reasonalble, comfortable rooms

St Giles London is a no frill hotel. Simple and small but centrally located. Room rate is reasonable. 2 mins walk to Tottenham Court Road Tube station. Located in West End, surrounded by theatres. Close to Chinatown and Convent Garden.

    Excellent Location

Excellent location is the major reason I choose this hotel: very close to underground & British Museum, 10 mins walk to SOHO / China Town / Convent Garden, saved time and money on transportation. However, room is quite tiny, and there's no hot water in the newly rennovated shower!

Location is great , but the service is just okay”

The first day check-in(02/FEB, 2019) around 09:30 , the staff (male guy) is really "casual". The room is not ready and he passed us a paper and didn't explain to us. We only needed to ask other staff. In the last day, I was on the 1st FL to wait for the lift. It took me like forever. I just found that they never stopped if you wanna go down. It's broken!!!! So stupid. So I had to drag my 29KG luggage to walk by the satires...

    Will stay again!”

The service was great, and hotel is located at the right smack of the central London. Very convenient to the tube and shopping districts. I can almost walk to anywhere touristy I.e. Big Ben, Tower of London, SoHo, etc The room (single room) is small; enough to open a carry on luggage. You might have to place big luggage on the bed to fully open it though cos the room is pretty narrow. Take note that the room doesn’t have some bathroom essentials such as toothbrush, toothpaste, comb. Only tissue rolls, tissue paper, towels, shower cap, all-in-1 soap provided. There’s a kettle, glass cup with the tea bags etc but no fridge. The lobby receptionists are friendly, kind and professional. However, those manning the luggage storage doesn’t seem to be as friendly. The lift (elevator) is slow only during peak hours such as morning 8-10am and evening 6-8pm where there’s an influx of people checking out, getting breakfast, going out and people checking in, returning back to hotel.

Great location but a very basic hotel. Rooms old fashioned, small & small window that didn’t close properly, very noisy so didn’t get s good nights sleep. They also charge for storing your luggage which we thought was disgraceful. First time this has ever happened while staying in London. We travel there often but won’t stay at St Giles again

Very loud rooms, great location but not the place to choose if you want to sleep!”

Was first put in room 732, right next to the 4 lifts which made a door bell sound 5 times after each use. Gave it an hour to see if we could sleep through it, noise didn’t stop so asked to move rooms. Then were moved to room 611 which had no curtains and was on the street front so had noise from the busy road outside. Rooms definitely need soundproofing or bring earplugs! The room itself was ok, staff friendly enough and location was fab!

Too expensive for such an old hotel”

I had really high hopes for this hotel as the rooms looked really new in the photos, and was therefore willing to pay a higher rate (compared to many other cheaper options). However, I was VERY DISAPPOINTED when I checked in, as the hotel really is very old (like one of those cabins in old cruises); the toilet didn't look too clean either. To be clear, I'm not a "spoiled brat", but the disappointment stemmed solely from the fact that I was paying a rather expensive rate for the hotel. The breakfast was unfortunately rather unappetizing - 4 trays of very oily scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon and hashbrowns. Also, I was disappointed to learn that the gym was not of free access to guests (one of the key reasons I went for this hotel) - it costs £5 per entry. The location of course is excellent (right in the heart of the shopping district), but considering how convenient the Tube is, I would recommend to opt for a cheaper hotel.

    Fantastic spot”

Hotel was a fabulous location, literally next door to Tottenham court road station, within easy walking distance to most areas, shopping, theatres, all easily reachable from the hotel. Great 24 hour restaurant on the premises, food lovely. Only downside was housekeeping insisted on coming into the room despite the do not disturb sign being on the door, and on checkout day they came in before 9 a.m. and again before 10, at which point I had to say to them I was checking out at eleven. Apart from the overeager housekeeping, couldn't fault the hotel for location, price and cleanliness.
