My 2nd home”
When we arrived to Metro Manila, I decided to check in St. Giles because of the reviews and the price wasn't so bad. We had a great first 2 dat stay. There's a pool and a gym to use at your convenience. The elevators were unaccessible unless you have a room key. The staff were so friendly, they often gave us their suggestions for restaurants and massage spas to try. What I love was that there are so many restaurants nearby, you won't need a taxi. It's a 2 minute walk to Gilligans, a 3 minute walk to Century mall, or even 4 to 5 minutes to the nearest Jollibee or Mag Inasal. I also love the convenience of malls being only a 4 to 7 minute drive away. There's Glorietta, Landmark, and even Greenbelt! (Where I got my Lasik surgery) I also love how it isn't so far from MoA, Star City, or BGC, and the airport is only 15 to 20 minutes away. After my first two nights here, I transferred to Sequoia Hotel in QC because we had to attend a party. After 3 days in QC, we decided to move back to Makati's St. Giles for the remaining stay of our trip. It was a great getaway for my fiance and I. We definitely consider it our second home. It may not be as glamorous as Dusit Thani, but it is definitely a 5 star hotel to me, in terms of affordability. The staff took good care of us during our whole stay. Definitely a huge PLUS to me.

Clean and reasonable”
St Giles is a good hotel, if you are looking for this category of prices. I think it worth for money. It is really clean. It locates in Makati which is business area of Metro Manila. There is traffic jam everywhere in Manila, but you can go every where easily from this hotel. If you interested in food, there are many kinds of good restaurants there. You should use room access card in the lifts for safety, but hotel provide only one card per room. That is the problem if you want to go out separately. Rooms are small but I think in this category of price, it is reasonable. Do not worry about other comments in this case if you want to stay in room only for slipping. Breakfast is great, but internet fee is really expensive in this hotel, however agoda sell rooms including internet access. WIFI is provided only in small lobby of hotel and restaurant, but in the rooms you have to use cable. So if you want to use internet through your mobile or tablet, it is not possible in rooms.

Great value, great staff”
I've stayed at St. Giles now at least 15 times over the past 3 years. I try other hotels that are more expensive but don't seem to get the same treatment as I do when I'm st St. Giles. The staff is always very polite and ready to help. The rooms are small but confortable and have everything I need to relax and get things done. Getting bottled water is always easy, you just call and they give you as many as you need for free, although I'm not sure if they are really supposed to. Getting a taxi is usually not a problem but can be at certain times of the day. There are so many good places to eat, all within walking distane. The front desk staff is great, especially Erika, very courteous. I will continue to go back to St. Giles since I really have no complaints about the place and the price is really good.

One of the best hotel in the area”
First when I arrived, I was greeted by the guard as he help to carry my luggage from the car, another one would open the door and well greeted by the reception. The check in was fast and everything went on smoothly. The porter would assist in carrying my luggage to my room and even explain how the light and remote control work. The housekeeping also had done a great job keeping my room clean and new again. They would called you and fixed a cleaning time if they see I put the "Do not clean the room" signage on. Even until late afternoon or evening when I'm out. As always when I came back, the room was nicely done and cleaned. The surrounding area was good too, walking distance to Century Mall and good food around. However, the only con I would say is the ordering the in room breakfast. I've ordered the Filipino breakfast and it was delicious. But after my friend and I eat the fruits which is papaya and water melon, both of us got diarrhea. Maybe they should take note on that. Lastly, as being said this is still my most recommended hotel in Makati. The price is also reasonable. The stay was fabulous and definitely I would stay in this hotel again for my future trip in Manila. Even though the diarrhea encounter, it still won't ruin my stay here and the whole St Giles' experience. People who wanted an enjoyable stay should maybe complaint less and forgiving more. Every staffs there more than happy to assist you if you have problem but you also have to watch your tone on them. Treat people on how you wanted to be treated. I would also like to add that the check out is super fast.. before that, I was waiting in behind two Caucasians an they are arguing with the staff. This had slow the whole process. Then, another guy came and open a counter for me and the check out was within 20 seconds.. lol.. overall a fantastic stay!

Great Staff, Good Location”
i stayed at the st giles hotel on three separate occasions. the hotel itself is great and the staff are wonderful. it is located in the upscale makati neighborhood, with a short cab ride to the ayala malls with good local shopping. on two of my stays i arrived early and the room type i had booked was not available. they were kind enough to give me another room temporarily so i could shower and change after a long flight. this meant extra room cleaning work for them, and i was happy to get into a room quickly to get cleaned up and rested. overall i’ve been very happy with my stays there. the breakfast is so-so. it’s consistent with filipino food standards but is nothing to write home about. i would recommend booking a room without breakfast and walking to the avenue mall down the street to have breakfast at coffee bean and tea leaf instead.

Relaxing overnight stay”
Our first time at St. Giles and the experience was superb. We have used the amenities-particularly the swimming pool and the small gym. Though some of the equipment like the treadmill was a bit worn-still everything was ok. The front desk, the room service, the security guards as well as the dinning service crews have served us well- this hotel I found to be the best in terms of services. The proximity to Makati is also a big plus. Thank's to St. Giles and definitely will stay again in this hotel in the future.

Disappointing with customer service for returning guest ”
we return after a month of our previous stay...my husband is on project in the Philippines and we spent our weekends in St Giles as I am from Malaysia and well know on the St Giles Hotels brand Unfortunately, the first time we r here, we told that it is our anniversary, we didn't receive anything..and the second time we are here, there were no offerings of upgrade / discount for room upgrade or even discount for breakfast. Offerings like this really means a lot to returning customers like myself as we have choosen St Giles again instead of trying for other choices! Really need to improve...and because of what happened during my 2nd visit (20-22nd Oct) we really are not looking fwd to staying in St Giles again for our trip to Manila again next month..

Good Hotel, but not 4 stars”
I stayed a week a the St. Giles and, found it to be a nice hotel for the money, but not a 4 star hotel as some sites have rated it. The PROS of the hotel are that it is a new, clean hotel, with a great staff and a good location. It is easy to get a taxi, a variety of entertainment (not just the go-go bars, actually a couple of Manila's top nightclubs are footsteps away), a wide selection of restaurants are all minutes away by walking. The view from the hotel has to be the best in Makati (at least for now. They are building next to it). The CONS are that their superior rooms are incredibly small (20 sqm). They are not suitable for a couple. The bathrooms, as well are uncomfortably tiny. The room was very bland and basic, no decorations, not even a clock. Internet is also not free. It costs 300 pesos a day. Having to pay for internet when many hotels offer it for free is a deal breaker. It also lacks the subtle touches of a 4 star hotel, such as robes and slippers, 4 pillows on the bed, and a refrigerator that is stocked, not empty. Even the lobby, especially when full, was very cramped for space. I would highly recommend this hotel for a traveler who does not need a lot of space, or thrills. I feel it is more a hotel for someone in town for a couple of days and will not be in their room much. The Deluxe rooms are around 27 sqm, so if you need more space, upgrade. The 4 star rating sets the bar a little too high for what this hotel actually is, a very good economy hotel at a great location. There is nothing wrong with that and if a traveler checks in with that in mind, they will not be disappointed, but if you are expecting a 4 star hotel, like the Marriott, then you will leave feeling something was lacking. Still, I was satisfied with my stay overall.

Second time staying there, excellent hotel”
This was my second time staying at the St. Giles. Although prices went up since my last time here, i still liked this hotel. The location is good, near many restaurants and taxis abound. The only draw back is that is just around the corner from the redlight district. So if you're traveling with kids, you might be better off in a hotel closer to greenbelt. It's still a very good hotel with very nice staff. It's a newer hotel so the rooms are still very clean, the gym is relatively decent and the view from the rooftop pool is excellent! I will most likely come back next time in Makati.

Great Locations and Great Rooms”
We arrived too early in the morning from Brunei. We had to take 1 room first and pay PHP1500 for early check in. It was ok anyway. We were then transferred to 3 rooms on the same level as per our initial bookings. The Hotel staffs were amazingly friendly and very efficient. First time in Manila, we fall in love with the hotel staffs. Especially ALLAN, the door man, whom was very efficient and helpful in getting us the right Taxi fares, the right driver to bring us round for a City Tours etc. Thanks to the Hotel Supervisor, Rachelle for the complimentary extra hours while waiting for our departure. Thanks also to Mikho for helping us to carry all the heavy shopping LOADS to our rooms. HaHa .... We will definitely be back to St Giles!

Always a good reaso to come back and stay.”
I've stayed at St. Giles so many times now, they all know me by name there. The location is close to everything by cab. So many great places to eat within walking distance it's so convenient. The rooms are a bit small but just enough to stay cozy. Ther is an iron and dryer, safe, flat screen tv and free internet. Bottle water is free and I can always ask for more and they always give me more than just 2 anytime I ask. The staff are always saying hello and are always friendly. They open the door for you all the time. For the price and location its really hard to not comee back to St. Giles. I will continue to use this place anytime I'm in Makati.

Great hotel in the middle of the action”
Great stay at a excellent hotel in the middle of Makati. Staff were very efficient, friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a good stay. Manila is a large messy and noisy city but being above it all at St Giles was like being in an oasis. Recommend it for anyone spending time in Manila. Just be careful using taxi's ensure they turn on their meters or they will attempt to rip you off.

Nice Hotel. Good value”
I only stayed one night at The St. Giles Makati. I arrived at the airport around 10 pm. I had called ahead and made arrangements for transportation and was given clear instructions on where to find them outside the terminal. I was very pleased to find the gentleman waiting on me, with my name entered into his phone, when I arrived. The transportation was in a private car and cost 900 PHP each way. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The gym was good. The free wifi was good. The food was good. Overall a very good experience.

Very nice, new hotel”
we visited st. giles, not sure what to expect. its a new hotel, went to the room an were shocked. so nice! nice flat screen tv on the wall, soft comfortable bed, extremely clean room. we stayed on the 14th floor, great views of the city from the oversized window in the room. rooftop pool provided some great pics over the city also. i really like the security there, the elevator will not work unless you have the roomkey with you. i highly recommend st giles.

No regrets choosing St Giles.”
Apart from the rather sluggish wifi connection, the hotel exceeded all my expectations. The room was great, breakfast spread was filling with great variety, and the staff (especially housekeeping and front desk) were prompt, attentive and quick to serve. I have stayed at several different hotels in Manila and would highly recommend St Giles. It's also a stone's throw away from the night life. But if you have guests who drive, then be prepared for a rather narrow, small and very limited car park.

Great Hotel”
traveling for 19 hours straight all you want to do as you get to your hotel is take a shower and relax. the staff were friendly. checking in was easy, simple, and fast. the room was smaller than expected but i don't need any more furniture i don't really need, as long as it has everything i needed (computer desk, safe, mini fridge, and a huge flat screen TV), a free wi-fi in my room and filipino buffet breakfast. i had no time to even check the other amenities, but i'm sure that since this hotel is, as i was told by friends, fairly new, the swimming pool, gym, etc. are also great features. i did not avail of the shuttle to the malls, but it would have been better if they also provided free airport transfer. their airport limo costs P900, while a regular taxi would be about P300. i called a car rental company to take me to the airport since i had to leave at 5am and it only costed me P550. i had a great experience during the 2-night stay that if i go home to visit again and needed a hotel i will surely stay at st. giles again.

Best Value in Makati!”
When I think of staying in Makati, St. Giles is my preferred choice for a long list of reasons! The many amenities along with the efficient and friendly staff keep drawing me back to the St. Giles as the best value for the cost of a room. I felt very safe in this hotel and enjoyed the live music in the bar every night!

Great location with decent rooms”
St. Giles Hotel is very well located in one of the most happening places within Makati. There are plenty of eating places nearby some of which are also open 24 Hrs. There are also a few convenience shops and money changers around the hotel. The room service is very prompt and courteous. The food in the hotel is also very good for a reasonable price. It is a very good hotel for short visits and business travellers who want peace and quiet along with availability of decent food.

Hotel always delivers for a great price”
Stayed at St. Giles so many times now, it just makes sense for me. The staff is always polite and willing to help out in anyway they can. They can get busy at times but that's how things just get if everyone is staying there. The price is very reasonable, nice flat screens. Always get bottled water for free, and no issues asking for extra. So many good places to eat within steps of the hotel. I will continue to stay at this hotel as it just makes sense. I can afford to spend a bit more and some of the more elegant hotels but I just don't see the need when I know that St. Giles will always deliver great treatment.
