Excellent Experience but some disappointments
Excellent location, Unique design in the room, lobby is average and not impressive, Housekeeping did excellent job, however hotel reception is horrible - slow and bad service, almost over charged me for parking. Asked for credit card but never advise how much will charge as deposit or so. The only hotel with such service in UK

Valentine stay
The location is the main reason for staying at this hotel. In the room the bathroom and the lighting.
Due to the lack of a main restaurant and bar the hotel felt no different than a premier inn, unfortunately the alternative was very limited. The hotel itself lacked any character due to this renovation work and although we knew it was taking place, we assumed that there would be a suitable replacement. The room was itself was very nice as you would expect. Overall I do not believe we would stay at this particular hotel again.

My business trip stay at the St Martins lane
Location , rooms , and staff
My stay was very good as usual ( I am a frequent visitor ) but I must say I was very disappointed not to be informed of the on going renovations ( the bar and main dining room were closed ) and the reception area severely reduced in size and therefore atmosphere Even more so in the fact that I was on my business trip with two colleagues and had highly recommended them to stay at the St martins which they did because of the things I have mentioned i.e. the great bar etc They were very deflated when they arrived because everything was closed I do understand that renovations must be done and how difficult it is to work around the fact the hotel must stay open ( I am a casino owner myself in Birmingham ) but I just think that customers should be informed of this and therefore given the choice of whether to stay under these conditions or not . Also the price should be reflected in the very reduced facilities and ambience which even though I had a very correct rate with yourselves was not I'm afraid Also just to finish my colleagues much to my dismay let it be known to myself that they wouldn't be staying at the hotel again ! Which I found embarrassing Many thanks David shine
