Everything about St Martins was absolutely top class, we were met by such friendly helpful staff at the check in desk and in particular a gentleman (who I regrettably didn’t catch his name but was wearing a light grey/blue jacket) he very kindly upgraded our room as it was our first time staying and went out of his way to ensure that we had a great stay. This guy could teach many hotels how to achieve great customer service. All the staff were friendly from the entrance to the bar/restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble. The Blind spot bar was a lovely relaxed bar that was really modern and quirky, overall we were so impressed it truly is now our hotel of choice and will be returning again and again. Thank you to all the staff at St Martins hotel.

We're delighted that you enjoyed both the hotel facilities and our friendly, authentic style of service, and it's great to know that everyone you met - and particularly Giuseppe at the Front Desk - demonstrated our core values so fully to ensure you had a memorable and engaging guest experience. We are also very happy to note that you will be returning and we very much look forward to welcoming you back to St Martins Lane.
Absolutely fantastic weekend again. Have stayed twice and everything is absolutely perfect, the staff are so warm and friendly and an extremely big thank you to Giuseppe at the front desk who I must say was first class and made our stay at St Martins completely smooth, he made us feel not just a customer but we felt like very welcome guests and there are many hotels that could improve from having someone like Giuseppe as on both occasions we have visited he has been absolutely fantastic and the rest of the team that I have met have are all super friendly and welcoming and are the reason that we will be visiting again and again. Thanks again

Smiles, upgrade and bubbles”
I wanted to book somewhere central and special for my sister's 30th birthday - but my budget was limited. I found a great price for St Martin's Lane Hotel through Agoda so decided to book. On arrival we were upgraded, which was brilliant as I was a little worried about the room size... I thanked they guy for this on the front desk (Andreas?) and mentioned it was my sisters bday. Later in the eve when we were getting ready to head out, the team sent a complimentary bottle of Prosecco to the room to wish my sister a happy birthday - so sweet! And they usually charge £40 per bottle!! We stayed Saturday night, so check out on Sunday was midday! Lush! And needed!
My business trip stay at the St Martins lane ”
My stay was very good as usual ( I am a frequent visitor ) but I must say I was very disappointed not to be informed of the on going renovations ( the bar and main dining room were closed ) and the reception area severely reduced in size and therefore atmosphere Even more so in the fact that I was on my business trip with two colleagues and had highly recommended them to stay at the St martins which they did because of the things I have mentioned i.e. the great bar etc They were very deflated when they arrived because everything was closed I do understand that renovations must be done and how difficult it is to work around the fact the hotel must stay open ( I am a casino owner myself in Birmingham ) but I just think that customers should be informed of this and therefore given the choice of whether to stay under these conditions or not . Also the price should be reflected in the very reduced facilities and ambience which even though I had a very correct rate with yourselves was not I'm afraid Also just to finish my colleagues much to my dismay let it be known to myself that they wouldn't be staying at the hotel again ! Which I found embarrassing Many thanks David shine
Most comfortable bed. Recommended, great location ”
Size of the room is small as with most london hotels, so if you are looking for a longer stay, the standard room might be a squeeze. The bathroom has an excellent utilisation of space. The bed was one of the most comfortable i’ve tr In my travels.
Hi Fadwa, many thanks for your feedback and we really appreciate your lovely comments for comfort and bathroom space in particular. Our website gives full descriptions of room types, including size, and if we had been aware of any disappointment during your stay, we should have been pleased to show alternative options. We do hope that you will have a chance to visit us again when you are next in London and very much look forward to welcoming you back at that time.
Always disappointing ”
I stay in London often. Over the years I've ended up at the St Martins a few times. It always disappoints. It's gimmicky but not really that luxurious or cool. Amenities are lacking. It's way over priced. Not particularly comfortable. Much (not all!) of staff is surly. Stay at the nearby Amba Charing Cross for better service, comfort and nice staff at similar price.
Great location and excellent staff ”
Andrea and Mike went out of their way to ensure my family was taken care of. Single mom traveling with her two boys for a trip to London to take in as many musicals, concerts and museums. They upgraded my room with a minimal charge and Mike went out of his way to have a blazer's security feature removed when we realized it was still on there! Always a smile on their faces. The double loft is amazing. We loved the view, the ambiance and the modern bathroom. We soaked in the tub nightly. Thank you!
Hi Vanessa, thank you so much for your fabulous feedback and we're delighted that you and your two boys had such a great stay. It is also great to know that Andrea and Mike particularly demonstrated our core values to ensure an engaging and memorable visit. We hope you will have a chance to visit us again when you are next in London and look forward to welcoming you all back to St Martins Lane.
The Perfect Spot!”
The whole experience was brilliant. It was our 33rd wedding anniversary and Barbara at the front desk (who gave us the best welcome we have ever had at a reception desk, by the way!!) surprised us by having a complimentary bottle of bubbly delivered to our room when we returned from our first evening out. So very thoughtful! The hotel's location for access to all the main London attractions (accessible on foot!!) was superb.
Lovely Hotel Nice Service Great Location Best Room”
My first time in london and in euro too. Really Happy with everything i get from this lovely hotel. Thank a lot for making my first time in london be the moment i will never forgot.
Couldn’t be happier after 4 days spent at st Martin’s Lane
This hotel has been my favourite in London now for a number of years. It is modern, not over the top, and in a great location with friendly staff.
Hi David, thank you so much for taking the time to review us and it's great to know that we remain your favourite hotel in London, not least because of our location in the heart of the city's vibrant theatre district. Your support of the hotel is highly valued and we look forward to continuing to welcome you whenever you are in London.
The staff is helpful. Room is clean and has different lighting for you to adjust. The standard rooms are a bit small, but once you move to deluxe and up it fits two people comfortably. Location is perfect - close to Leister Sq. underground, walkable to National Portrait Gallery. The only downside to this hotel is their speakeasy bar - overpriced and subpar drinks (16 pounds for a G&T that I had to pour myself...). There are plenty of bars nearby where you can go to for a drink.
Hi Derek, many thanks for taking the time to review us and we really appreciate your very kind comments for our friendly and attentive team, our cleanliness, and our fabulous location in the heart of London's theatre district, close to so many iconic landmarks. We are very sorry for the disappointment with Blind Spot, our speakeasy bar, and we do review our menus and pricing alongside our London hotel competitor bars. We do hope that you'll have the opportunity to visit us again when you are next in London and we very much look forward to welcoming you back to St Martins Lane.
Welcomed at 3.30am by Andrew who came outside and took our luggage. Room 109 loved it.. Funky. Quirky, Modern, clean, friendly snd central london
Hi Nicky, thank you so much for your lovely comments on our rooms, our style, our central location in the heart of London's theatre district, and our friendly, authentic service especially from Andrew, one of our fabulous bell team. We do hope that you'll have a chance to visit us again - we would be delighted to welcome you back - and look forward to seeing you soon. Warm regards from St Martins Lane.
My friend and I arrived at 08:00 expecting to have to wait for normal check in time of 15:00 but were given our rooms immediately which was totally unexpected. The staff were fantastic and deserve full credit for there enthusiasm and dedication. The room was excellent and definitely value for money. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and will be staying again.

The property is modern, squeaky clean and very comfortable. It is in a great location, within walking distance to sightseeing, shopping and restaurants. The hotel personnel are friendly, efficient and they really treat you as valued guests. This is our fourth stay in this hotel

We really appreciate the kind comments for our friendly, attentive and authentic style of service as well as our cleanliness and great location in the heart of London's exciting theatre district. We very much look forward to welcoming you back for Visit # 5!
Beautiful stay. Was upgraded as it was my husbands birthday. Really friendly at the desk and helpful. Room was really clean although we looked out on to scaffolding. We had breakfast there in the morning and the staff were lovely and gave us a complimentary smoothie shot which was gorgeous. Would stay again definitely
Hi Angela, thank you so much for your lovely comments. We love to celebrate our guests' special occasions and we're delighted that you and your husband enjoyed a happy and memorable stay for his birthday. Apologies for the scaffolding on the opposite building, works have now finished so the scaffolding has now been removed. We hope you will have the opportunity to stay with us again and very much look forward to welcoming you both back to St Martins Lane.
Fantastic location, great staff and very quiet where we were on the 6th floor. The concierge was fantastic in getting us tickets to a show. The gym next door is really funky and well equipped (though I was a bit intimidated by the meathead guys in there). A couple of negatives: the breakfast wasn’t amazing, the hallways were freezing but the lifts were too hot and the fragrance in the hallways were headache inducing. But all in all a great stay, I’d stay again and would recommend it.
Hi Helene, thank you very much for taking the time to post your review and we're delighted to note that you particularly enjoyed our friendly, engaging style of service and our amazing location in the heart of London's vibrant theatre district. It's also great to know that our Concierge particularly demonstrated our core values to ensure a memorable guest experience. We are sorry for any disappointment with our breakfast offering or the hotel signature fragrance and if we had been aware of any concern in relation to the latter, we should have adjusted the fragrance levels in your corridor. We do hope that you will have a chance to visit us again when you are next in London and look forward to welcoming you back at that time - we also really appreciate your recommendation, too.
