Location, location, location”
The location of this hotel is the best. It is close to everywhere. 3min from the subway station, and this line directly goes to Yokohama, and Shibuya without changing the train. Yamashita park is in front of the hotel. If you want to take a picture, you can do it on the balcony. Therefore, you do need to be worry about the cleanness of the windows. Motomachi, Yamate, and Minatono-mieru-oka-kouen can be a nice walking course. Next door is the China town. I highly recommended!

Very good”
We chose this hotel mainly because we were boarding a ship the next day. We were lucky to have a room facing the park, the ocean, and the port. Beautiful view. I would not have given same rating had we had a room facing the back of the building. The staff was unexperienced, could not answer our request re sightseeing of this small town, hardly understood English. Small room, comfortable bed.

Breakfast served in a restaurant adjoining hotel but entered from the hotel. Only available within a narrow time frame and very limited in content. Only three choices in an unusual combination. Perhaps a Japanese concept of what a western style breakfast should be. This hotel is ideally suitable for people commencing cruises from Yokohama and could capture more international guests by improving their breakfast facilities.

Economical, great location, fine service”
Only spent one night but the location was convenient being close to Yokohama China Town and the great food there. May not be a 4-star hotel and the rooms may be a bit small for some, but it is clean and the help was great.

Perfect Place for our stay in Yokohama”
The room was a "twin" meaning there were two twin beds. It was small, but cozy. We really just needed a place to sleep because we were out and about all day both days. The front desk held our bags for us though, while we toured around the last day even though we had already checked out. There are lots of restaurants nearby, along with the beautiful harbor, the Yokohama baseball stadium, and Chinatown. Yokohama itself is a wonderful city with lots to do and catching local transportation was a cinch from this hotel.

Star Hotel in Yokohama is conveniently located just across from Yokohama bay and Yamashita Koen. The room was rather small, even for Japanese standards. However it was clean, neat and what is rather unheard of in Japan; it had a lovely outdoor balcony facing Yokohama bay. However this Hotel is let down by their front staff. Not only none of the staff could communicate well in english but none of them seemed enthusiastic to explain any hotel's regulations, amenities or give any local information about the area. I was just given a copy of a key to my room and Au revoir. Whilst it is a good hotel located in a fantastic location it is rather poorly serviced by apprehensive staff with no omotenashi spirit.

Comfortable and affordable hotel near Chinatown”
The rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful. The neighbourhood is clean, right near the coast, and Chinatown is just a short walk away. The restaurant in the hotel "Eggs 'n Things" was very popular, line-ups during the day, definitely get breakfast there. The conference center at Minato Mirai is just a short train ride away, less than 10 minutes. Highly recommend this place, would stay here again.

Right by the Port”
The Hotel was a fine hotel, it gave a wireless router, which was nice. The rooms were clean- the bathroom needs to be renovated. It is about a ten min walk to the international port for a cruise. The port across the window is not the international one but we walked to the international one without a problem. For a one night stay before the cruise this hotel is just fine.

Great location, but...”
Was give a room just across the hallway from the cleaning staff's storage room. Not much peace and quiet because of that. Odd slamming sounds at night. The hotel has a Rooftop Beer Garden. Do leave the a/c on while away if you get an upper floor room. If not you'll be greeted by a stench upon reentering the room.

we arrived with the typhoon,so happy to be at our final destination to catch our cruise. we entered our room to find a closet size room...had to put our suitcases along the wall and there was barely room to walk by to get to the washroom. it was small, musty and dingy!
