Hotel @masjid India area.”
1.Located @ nearby shopping area. 2.Worth of money. 3.Nice and helpful staff. 1.Its time to upgrade facilities such as furniture,bed/mattress,carpet and TV. 2.It far away to the lobby due to infront road under construction.
It's a good hotel, strategic location in the heart of Masjid India. 5 mins walking distance to Sogo, Pertama complex and Jakel Mall. We stayed on 13th Floor in a Deluxe room, spacious and clean facing towards Jalan TAR road and city. Do not expect for great KL skyline view, many tall buildings might block it. You need to bare in mind, the hotel location is really in the middle of Masjid India and crowded with people, some road maybe closed for stalls especially during weekends and for sure a bit troublesome for a grab service.
Improve the lobby area..move out the massage chair.change the sofa to a bench or anything that make the lobby more space.put some dustbin. Variety choice for breakfast.put some menu for malay dish..like nasi lemak kuih etc.tqvm
Need to refurbish”
All furniture in the room need to replace and refurbish. The bed especially need to replace with new mattress, the toilet need to replace all the fittings since almost all the fittings are broken like shower head, door locks, soap holder etc. Bed side lamp need to replace. Overall i think it's time to refurbish. They didn't change any single thing since day 1 they operated. I was among their early guest to stay in this hotel and i notice everything still the same but now most of them are broken.
Value for money and comfortable”
The room price that i got is satisfying. The bed are very comfortable and clean. Only that the hot water are not well maintain and the floor need to be clean particularity other than that it was perfect.
NOT LIKE BEFORE”
The receptionist and the staff were very good and friendly. On the other hand, some improvement need to be done due to the following problems:- (1) Wi-Fi signal was very poor and very slow. (2) In the morning Tv channels have no signal. (3) Rooms were not properly cleaned & needs to be improved. (a) Bedsheets need to be changed everyday. (b) Dusting the cupboard and tables everyday. (c) The carpet must be vacuum everyday. (4) The fridge was not functioning, needs to be repaired.
Good Hospitality and Location”
I always travel in KL during Ramadan season. This Hotel is located in the center of hawker and textile shopping in Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman, KL. Its crowded 24 hours but I like to go for shopping around 11pm till 1am. Weather that time is nice and less people. Hope to stay here every Ramadan.
Pros: Nice room, all facilities in the good condition, the place is very near with sogo and easy to find the place to eat. Cons: The location of parking and lift is not suitable because if the family bring a lot of stuffs, we have to bring the stuffs which is quite far, so i recommend that there is also a lift at parking lot.
For those who plan to shop till they drop...Starpoint Hotel is the best place to stay. Surrounded by varieties of shopping lots and nearby malls.
Nice place with good location. Near ti shopping place.
Nice place and friendly staff
Value for money
The staff is nice and helpful, the location is excellent with lots of restaurants and cafes nearby and with easy access to the shopping mall. The room was very clean. However, the breakfast was not very good. It did not offer enough of a variety.
Regular visitor to this hotel”
We are a regular guess in this hotel.Every year during Ramadhan, we'll book 2 nights stay here. The reason why we like this hotel is the location. Just a door step from hotel u can find Ramadan Bazaar. U can find so many things cater for Eid Festival. Mesjid Jamek Station is approx 300metres away. Without doubt we will come here again next year.
Room was full”
We booked two 3 mths earlier, made special req to have connecting room if possible, few days before check-in i reminded reserving staff regarding the connecting room, she said she tried to arrange as the hotel was full and difficult to fulfill my req. The day we checked-in it was smooth eventhough we didnt get connecting room and two rooms was split to different floor. But it was ok we understood as it was busy month all hotel surrounding. Our stay was ok but the lobby is small and elevator quite slow. Staff was helpful and friendly.
Stayed here during ramadhan, as usual every year the area surrounding was jammed pack with people flocking to bazaar for last minute shopping for raya festival. As the Hotel is at the centre of the bazaar, the area was very crowded, taxi couldnt pick you up because road leading to hotel was closed and we had to wait at the main road to wait for taxi or grab which as well took them 1 hr to pick us as all roads were jammed.
The hotel was really good and more than what you expected. The only things was the 2 receptionist ladies was really disappointing. I have booked for a room for 2 night and request additional room (will pay for normal rate) repeated for 3 times I want for 3 days and 2 nights but don't know what she thinks that times she booked only for a night. On the next day, they called my guess for check out. She still argue that I am lied. Be careful when do the booking. So it will not happen to others. Overall it was excellent. Others staff was very good and also the manager. Highly recommended.
Overall all ok and acceptable.. juz only the basement parking is always full because the indian guy allow the outsider(with parking charges) to park at the basement parking. I taught the basement parking is shud meant for SPKL guest?
My Comments On StarPoints Hotel”
If you are travelling to KL and wish to shop around Jalan TAR and Masjid India, the hotel is well located. If you are driving, then getting in and out of the area would be an issue. It is always packed with stalls and the car park for this hotel is rather limited and it is locked at 9PM but you can call the front desk to get their staff to open the door for you. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful.
