Great place to bring baby/family”
Location is 15mins from White House and national mall areas. This hotel is, in my opinion, the most hotel you’ll get for the least amount of money in DC. I’ve stayed at the Mandarin which is one of the nicest hotels here, but if you want a kitchen, more space, and not a jacuzzi. This place is a super deal.

Great value in an excellent location”
Our stay at the State Plaza (deluxe 2 queen room) exceeded expectations. The room was huge, with a full eat-in kitchen and a dressing room. The linens were luxury (Frette) and the cleanliness exceptional. The location was very good for tourist sites on the Mall, Kennedy Center, and Georgetown. Public transportation was also convenient. There was grocery shopping nearby and a 24-hour drugstore right next door.

Perfect for my stay”
I’m sure it helped that I got a free upgrade to a suite. But even without that, the staff was kind, the room was large and clean, the puréed squash soup was amazing after a chilly day in the cold, the location was perfect, the price was amazingly low, and generally I just really could not have had a better experience. I’ve paid a lot more for a lot less that’s for sure!!

State Plaza Hotel is a great stay! I was most impressed by the friendly staff. From the first person I interacted with to the last, every one of them were phenomenal, going above and beyond to help in anyway they could - from offering additional parking options to helping lift my stroller up and down a few steps. Excellent staff and comfortable / clean rooms. State Plaza Hotel Management is doing it right. Would definitely stay here again and strongly recommend to anyone looking.

This place is awesome! Its close to lincoln memorial. Room is big and spacious and very comfy bed. Real good sleep from a long hours of drive.

Great location”
Great location of the hotel relative to the Lincoln Memorial and a good portion of the monuments. Its a bit of a walk to the museums. Hotel is super clean, amazing staff. My only complaint are the TVs are old and burned in images. But if thats the biggest gripe, this place is doing great!

This hotel is great, for it's proximity to the white house, national mall and capital hill. Extra points for having a CVS next door and Whole Foods down the street. Kitchen is great, so nice to have a freezer full of ice when you arrive. Furniture is a little dated, but you can't beat this hotel for it's convenience and location!!!

Staff was excellent. Hotel turns off the Heat in the Summer but they provided a heater. No microwave or fridge so that was an adjustment. Would stay here again.

Quick trip”
My son and I stay here while attending a concert. We didn’t have any issues with the hotel. I thought it was I bit over priced. Decent location. Most of the staff were friendly, some were absolutely lovely. The restaurant was completely over priced wouldn’t recommend eat out it’s cheaper and better.
