The location is brilliant, just 200 yards to the milano centrale train and metro stations. Trains run every 30 mins to malpensa airport and the metro trains are every 5 mins and take you to anywhere you want in milan. Its so easy to use! The hotel staff were really friendly and made us feel really welcome. The lady behind the desk gave us a city map and circled all the best places to eat, drink, shop etc. And was really helpful! The hotel is very clean and very modern. The room was perfect with a safe, aircon and balcony overlooking the centrale station. You could hear a slight rumble of the metro until around midnight but it wasnt a problem and we both had a great night sleep. Breakfast was good but could have had a bit more variety in terms of hot food but the basics of bacon sausage and scrambled egg were really good! As well as your pain au chocolat and cereals etc. Overall we had a brilliant trip and the hotel was perfect for a couple looking to explore a new city! :)

I must say that I was first attracted to this hotel because of it's no pet policy. I even wrote an email to clarify and I was happy it was confirmed. I did this because a few websites that I visited give different reviews. Hence, with the confirmation, I was able to rest my minds. I should say the hotel location is very strategic as it is near to Metro Station (Centrale Stazione is only about 2-3 minutes away) For Muslims, look no further as this hotel is within walking distance to a Halal Cafe called King Kebab. If you are not particular and not looking for any branded stuff like Prada, LV and the likes, there are street shops near the hotel. What I noticed that souvenirs are cheaper at these shops than souvenirs shops along Duomo. As we go on a F&E, we rely on the information given by the hotel staff for assistance. We were directed to a local travel agent called Zani Viaggi and managed to visit Foxtown & Lake Como. The Front Office Personnel are very warmth, one particular staff (I should have asked for his name - the guy with the beard; I hope he knew I'm talking about him) took the initiative to ask if we managed to go to places of interest that we had wanted to go. On our last day, we decided to try the Malpensa Airport Shuttle Bus which took us from Central Station to Malpensa Airport in about 40-45 minutes. It costs us Euro7.50/pax and we never regretted our decision to take the shuttle bus instead of the train. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends who are going to Milan for a holiday.

Pro: 5-10 min walk from Stazione Centrale, reasonably-priced, very new, very clean, good bathroom water supply, good breakfast Con: insufficient staff, sotaff-so staff service, bad sound-proof system in ground floor rooms and basement rooms (basement rooms next to breakfast area), no toothbrush, no toothpaste, no hanging hooks inside bathroom but a pole inside shower booth, no kettle, no proper glasses or cups (only plastic ones), no doorbell, some water leakage in our basement room wall corner

Easy to find from Stazione Centrale fresh off our international flight when one is not always the sharpest. Friendly, helpful staff. Rooms are small but well-appointed, clean, comfy beds. Appreciated the free non-alcohol drinks fridge. Stave off the dehydration blues. Best breakfast of anywhere we stayed in Italy, Slovakia and Prague. And there were some good ones. Nice to have so many veg options, including fresh carrot juice. Yum.

The hotel is located at the lefthand side coming out of stazione centrale, two minutes walk. Very convenient coming from Malpensa airport by train and the metro for going around Milan. We were offered a better room with living area for euros 35 more but our deluxe room was more than adequate for two nights. Room was and feels very clean with modern, sparse furnishings, big bathroom with tub and complete amenities, just the way we like it. I appreciate the firm mattress and pillows, good night's rest after a long flight. Quality of breakfast can be improved, limited selection and no fresh juices. Coffees were good. Hotel is better suited for business travelers, although wifi is only free 30 minutes for each guest each day. Opposite sister hotel Starhotels Echo looks good as well

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Could not open the room door and went back to reception for help. While waiting for my turn, the other staff approached me and asked if I need any assistance. He was very very kind and helpful to send my big luggage and walk up with me to the room. He also very patience and soft in explaining how to pull and push the room door in order to open it, which the reception staff did not mention. Room facilities was very good and comfortable. Best part is the location of the hotel is just opposite the Milan Central train station. Love this hotel a lot. Will come back to stay again if I have the opportunity to go back Italy....

this hotel was the easiest to find amongst all the hotels we had stayed in italy, and is easily one of the best hotels during our 2 weeks vacation in italy. it is a 10 mins walk from the milano centrale stazione, and another 15 mins walk to the shopping district, corso buenas aires. we were greeted by alberto during check-in. we appreciated the fact that he congratulated us (noting the fact we were on our honeymoon). he tried to help us get tickets to the ac milan game that day (though it was a loss cause because it was too last-minute). others at the concierge were just as courteous and obliging. the breakfast was good. try the hot chocolate! room was chic, had most things we need during our stay. tv had more channels than others we have stayed in. overall pretty complete for a hotel.

The hotel is quite nice, in a brilliant location just a few meters off the Stazione Centrale and the metro lines (green and yellow). it has an extensive breakfast buffet which was much appreciated. The service at reception was excellent whilst restaurant and buffet was not so good. It's good choice for business trip because of proximity to public transport and business area. Also for tourists it's a convenient area - city center and shopping areas are easily reachable by metro.

This hotel is highly accesible as it is located very close to Milano Stazione Centrale (Central Station) and Piazza Duca D'Aosta. It is also close to Metro and tram station. The front office man is friendly and helpful. However, during my stay, the hotel was under construction, which cause disturbing noise during the day. The floor in the hallway/corridor is also dirty. In addition to that, you have to pay for wifi service.

From check in until check out everything was perfect. Room was the best I've ever stay in the range of price. Bathroom is very big and clean. They even got safety seal on each toiletries, something you won't find even in 5 stars hotel. Bed was comfort and linen was clean. There is some kind of heater where you can hang your towel to dry. Location wise it is just 2 train change to Piazza del Duomo and Castello Sforzesco. Tram stop and tabachi is just a stone throw away. Tram no 9 will pass right in front of the hotel. Definitely will be my first choice whenever in Milan.

I had another hotel booked but changed to this one once I realised my transfer dropped me at Milan Central Train Station. Coach dropped me from airport and I was in hotel a few minutes later. No faults with a quick and efficient early check in (we only went to hotel to drop cases as we were so early). Went to a pleasantly sized room on fifth floor with a terrace outside the large French doors. We then headed down to centre and asked at reception where we were told which Metro to use, which tram to take (outside hotel at end of street) and given the map by a very efficient receptionist. Only thing I would mention was we had an issue getting a light off in room at night and air con was loud but night porter couldn't get lights off either so just removed bulb and said reception could switch off air con but they obviously forgot. Two very small issues but one resolved relatively easily and one overlooked. Would definately stay here again and recommend to friends.

I've stayed at the Milan Hilton before, but this time was even nicer! Rooms are air conditioned (nice change from last week in Berlin!), breakfast buffet is awesome, and it's in a great location just three blocks from the Stazione Centrale. The Hilton will be my regular place to stay whenever I come to Milan. Only thing missing - could have had a pool, sauna, etc. - that woul have made it perfect.

I can't praise the staff enough. I was traveling by myself on this trip, and they made me feel right at home in a foreign country. Pietro and Michael were tremendously helpful with everything from restaurant recommendations to train schedules, they were awesome. The hotel is very cool and small, but the rooms are large, each with a little kitchen. The hotel provides free coffee and bottled water. There are markets close by if you want to buy food for the room. Plus, they have a very nice gym. The location is great, a couple black from Central Station, but you only use that for trains. The metro is an easy 5-7 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is just north of the center of town, but that's kind of cool, because you get to see other neighborhoods that you would probably miss, if you stayed right in the center. The main shopping street is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. There's nothing to complain about. I would definitely stay there on my next trip. Thanks guys!!!

We had stayed at a UNA Hotel in Bologna and were very happy to repeat. Staff were efficient and attentive - they were fully fluent in English went out of their way to check us in early. Our room was very spacious and comfortable (smoking rooms are available on request). The hotel features clean, modern interiors and rooms come with a TV that offers programming from various countries. Storage areas are more than adequate and the bed was really nice. We enjoyed a good buffet breakfast. The hotel is centrally located about three blocks from Milan Central train station. Check-out only required a few seconds. In our opinion, the only margin for improvement would be the small, slow elevators. We were very pleased with our choice and would definitely consider this property again for a future visit to Milan.

It was first time traveling alone in Europe and prior to this trip I had a lot of fears and hesitations because it was a hostel. But my goodness!! I love the place. It has a homey kind of feel and the staff are amazing- very helpful and friendly. The location is the best since it is very near Milan Centrale Station. If I am going back to Milan, I will book a place here again. I hope Ostello Bello would have a lot of locations around the world cos despite it being a hostel, I felt safe traveling alone as a woman.

The hotel is very near the central station but not on the Main Street hence its quiet (for a good rest). It’s a small little dated hotel but everything is clean. I was pleasantly surprise to be given the rooftop single room (603) that comes with a rooftop balcony. I got a surprise when the TV turned on itself at midnight. Well, I went back to sleep anyway. Overall it’s a good location hotel. Btw, lift is small and has tricky buttons.

Absolutely satisfied!I've arrived on the day before Metallica concert!The staff and their service was very helpful and kind,the food was amazing and very delicious,too,not to mention the wide range of choice! Receptionist was also very helpful and kind,kept my luggage in a safe!The room was clean,too,it was well equipped,there were everything I needed,plus,this hotel is in a very good location surrounded by traditional italian restaurants and is very close to the Milan Central Railway Station which is quite good,because I took only 5-6 minutes walk to the hotel on foot!There was TV plus bar in the room,equipped with air conditioner!Recommended! Beautiful reception,pollite and attentive staff!I've asked late check-ot and they accepted it!They also called taxi for my request!I was allowed to take some photos after check-out!Thanks Hotel Mennini and I hope to return back to you again in Milan one day! So convenient to be facing Milano Centrale Station ; beds could be more comfortable, but for one night when travelling, it's more important to be central. The shuttle for the airport is right across the street too. Beautiful and luminous breakfast room with gorgeous coffee cups and china. Had one of the best croissants ever and one of the best cappuccinos in Italy ; the waiter was very nice, so were the 2 clerks at the reception just before midnight. nh

i stayed for 2 nights during my trip to milan with my husband.. it was easily to reach and right infront of metro exit,so easy to find! it only walking distance (5 minutes) to milano centrale..so if you want to catch a train in the morning or late at night it very recomended.. the staffs were very helpfull with info about milan and around.. we arrive on sunday and not alot of resto open around,but you can find everything in the milano centrale on foot.. the room was clean and comfortable.. very recomended!

The hotel is about 20 minutes walking from the stazione centrale. Stazione centrale is the main station in Milan which the train from stazione centrale runs to most major Italian destinations, including Rome, Bologna and Florence. Even though the hotel is nearby and walking distance to the stazione centrale but you need to know the direction to the hotel failing which you may get lost. The hotel however, did not provide kettle to boil the water to make coffee or tea. The lift also too small which can only accomodate approximately 3 persons.

stayed 5 nights for the Italian F1 Grand Prix. Was great! The rooms are a tiny bit outdated but actually really comfortable and completely clean. If you are staying in milan for a few weeks and need to be at milano central train station every day, choose this hotel. The staff are perfect, not overbearing but really friendly, best Italians I met while in Italy actually! Room was always cleaned every day, 24 hr reception, nice little breakfast with a lot of nice breads, cheeses and pastries fruit etc, am used to having hot western style breakfasts but I grew to love this one, was really nice. It's not far from the centre of the city either, even if walking, maybe 20 mins to 30 max? Saw no ladies of the night etc like in previous reviews, pretty safe area really. And yes the walls are thin and can hear other rooms but not really that often, was never a problem for me as only heard something maybe once a night for 5 mins at around 8pm, so no problem. I will be staying again when I come back next year.

It was a really pleasant experience. We needed the hotel just to shower and sleep at night after we were done with all our walking around the city. The room and the toilet were both clean. The bed wasn't the most comfortable we've ever had but it wasn't an issue really. Breakfast buffet was small but good enough for us. They had really good chocolate croissants. The location was excellent. Close walking distance to the Milan Centrale station, and pretty close to all areas we wanted to visit. The staff was very friendly, and even though we checked out pretty early, they were nice enough to leave our bags with them while we continued our tour in the morning.
