Greta value for the money, awesome breakfast”
The only negative comment I have is that this place is so loud. The honking cars go well into the night and start as soon as the light comes out again. Make sure to bring ear plugs. I’m not sure if it would be any better anywhere in this area as the honking is so loud and annoying all over Cairo. The breakfast was amazing. The staff was all very friendly. Room service great. Room clean and comfy, especially the pillows which were very nice. Would definitely recommend stay here unless you want to splurge and stay at the ritz Carlton across the street or you could just walk over and have dinner, shisha, and or cocktails overlooking the beautiful nice at their rooftop establishment. Wish I could have stayed at Giza pyramids area but it was too expensive so this was a great compromise for still continuing to be in a very central good location.

Das Hotel weist eine tolle Lage auf, direkt am Ägyptischen Museum und nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß nach Down Town. Es ist sehr sauber, tolle Zimmer, super Ausrüstung, Pool, Fitness und Sauna. Tolles Frühstück, ein sehr guter europäischer Standart. Der Service ist ausgezeichnet und der Rezeptionist Mohamed Sayed hat uns ein super Upgrade gegeben. Mohamed ist sehr, sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Immer um das Wohl der Gäste bemüht. The Hotel is excellent. It is directly near the Egyption Museum and near Down Town. The rooms have a high standard. Is clean and has a good equipment, like pool, fitness, sauna and a good breakfast. The service is also very good. The receptionist Mohamed Sayed was very friendly, gave us an upgrade and is all the time taking care for guests comfort. We enjoyed the time at the Steigenberger El Tahrir much and won’t leave this nice hotel. I can recommend it.

Amazing stay!”
Our group of four booked Steigenberger last minute after complications with our reservation at another hotel. The staff were super patient and accommodating with our last minute requests and very helpful as we navigated baggage storage during our few day trip outside of Cairo and for late night flights. Their breakfast buffet was top-notch with a great selection of international breakfast classics, including Egyptian options—truly the highlight of our stay! We also greatly enjoyed the restaurant, where each dish was prepared with tremendous care by the chef and his team, including dietary accommodations. The location was also nice and close to many of the sites we wanted to visit and an easy spot for Ubers to locate. The rooms were quiet and had very comfortable beds. I’d especially like to highlight the exemplary care and professionalism of Yousef who went above and beyond coordinating our reservations with Agoda and last-minute booking, the welcoming and kind reception we received from the security and bell hop teams, and the excellent wait staff and chefs in the restaurant. In particular, Ashraf Yassin was attentive and accommodating.

A great start to my Egypt journey”
Everything is good. The location, staff, excellent breakfast, spacious rooms. I didn't get the time but there is a gym and pool on second floor. A lady at the receptionist even called me in the evening to make sure I am not facing any problems. I got an early check-in and you can checkout until 1200PM which is great if you have a late afternoon flight to catch. Would stay here again.

Centrally located in Tahrir square, the hotel is clean and up to date. One of us got sick in Cairo and the hotel quickly arranged for a doctor to come visit (and do follow up appointments) and sent us simple food for her to eat. The staff were very courteous and professional - and checked on us daily about her health. While the location can be a bit noisy (it's in the heart of downtown), it's staff and cleanliness make it a no brainer for a stay in Cairo. Highly recommend.

Our group relocated to Steigenberger Hotel El Tahrir after our original lodging fell through last minute and Yousef and the rest of the excellent reception staff were able to assist us with our complicated and last minute booking needs. The gate staff and the door staff remembered us our returns each day, and went a long way in reassuring us about the security of the hotel. The housekeeping staff was extremely attentive and ensured our needs were met throughout our stay and also had a friendly acknowledgement to offer as we passed in the hallways. The breakfast buffet was excellent and offered a range of options and the morning manager was always on hand to personally oversee each guest's comfort. In short, this is a place where you can feel at ease knowing that you will be cared for. I would like to acknowledge how much work the staff put into this atmosphere permeated the entire hotel.

Great Hotel in the heart of Cairo”
Steigenberger Hotel in Cairo was awesome. We were welcomed by their fully staffed front desk that quickly checked us in. We were also very pleased that they managed to check us in much earlier considering that I just had a 16 hr flight to Cairo. That’s was a nice touch The room was clean and very comfortable. Shower pressure was awesome. Constant pressure and temperature, very basic but important as we have had bad experiences elsewhere. The bed was super comfortable and great pillow too! The front desk was also very attentive to us, checked on us and recommended great food locations. Special thanks to Faridah for her great hospitality. The pool was pretty basic but location wise this hotel is perfect. Situated just opposite of the museum. We feel that it’s a great location to explore Cairo. Definitely recommended to anyone to return.

Excellent staff. Very friendly, efficient. I was even asked if I needed a later checkout , later than the usual of 12 noon. What hotels are ever that flexible, none I have stayed. This hotel is across the street from the Egyptian museum. The room is very comfortable and they really keep the mini bar fridge stocked better than anywhere I have stayed. And a great breakfast buffet. The variety of foods is outstanding. I would definitely stay again.

While international style hotels like this lack character, the central location across for the Cairo Museum, great service and staff plus very very clean and comfortable rooms more than make up for that. Highly recommended to offset the hard edge of a day in Cairo.

Excellent Hotel”
This was my first time in Egypt and my first day in Cairo as i travelled from Hurghada with my 18month old son. I was quite sure where i was going to stay as i had lost my bank card the previous day but thanks to Agodo i was able to book and pay via Paypal which resolved my main issue. As soon as i arrived the staff were extremely attentive and very helpful. They were also very patient as i tried for a good half an hour to book my room. The hotel itself is spectacular, its the best hotel I've stayed in so far for that price because if this hotel was situated in London the price would've been alot more. The facilities are great, the outdoor heated pool and bar area is really nice and has a nice calm ambience. The whole hotel is beautiful and clean, the rooms are very spacious and clean. The restaurant is lovely and they had an excellent choice at breakfast, it was the best breakfast i had throughout my whole trip. Both me and my son loved our stay and hope to return again very son.

When we visited outside of Cairo, we made a point of rebooking with Steigenberger Hotel El Tahrir because we were able to leave our larger bags with at the hotel during our in-country travels, and the hotel ensured their safety, and we simply picked our bags up upon our return to the hotel. The porters offered amazing service and were able to accommodate our travel requirements with ease. At the hotel restaurant, Ashraf Yassin provided incredible service and remembered our group and our orders despite the numerous guests who passed through the hotel -- we checked in again just after a tour bus full of people, and still Ashraf Yassin remembered us on the second night and checked in to see if we would like the same drinks from the previous night. His colleagues provided similarly outstanding service during breakfast by tea and coffee preferences. Our group would strongly recommend the Steigenberger.

Beautiful hotel with great location! Also the personnel is fantastic, especially Mai from the housekeeping (4th floor). She was a great help and she really impressed us with her friendliness and her hard work! Sayed from the restaurant was also a very great man that helped us so good. Also the doormen were amazing, especially Abdelhalim. He was also a great help! I stayed here for 8 nights and I will definitely come back as soon as I can, because I really had the time of my life. Maybe one thing for feedback is the nonsmoking area in the lobby, when you sit there you still smell the smoke very much. Maybe it’s something to think about, because my mother and I couldn’t sit there for too long. But overall I would strongly recommend this hotel and I would love to come back again! We stayed at the Steigenberger Tahrir for round about one month. The hotel is very clean. It`s located close to the National Museum. The restaurant is of very high quality. Superb Stay”
The best facilities and everything we had experienced. Hotel is 5 star with a very economical price tag. Staff is excellent and cleanliness is spot on. The rooms are large and bath size is very very good. Really loved the stay. Location is also very good. Just one drawback is the cairo traffic. People of cairo make so much noise via car horn that u can’t imagine. We had room on top floor. Still mornings were noisy. It’s not the fault of hotel but the traffic sense of people in cairo is not good.

Excellent Stay”
The hotel is super clean and the room was big. Breakfast is exceptional and location is a spot on. Everything is walking distance and you'll be able to reach all the spots walking. The only not so good thing about this hotel is that the swimming pool is very small but it wasn't that big of a deal for us because we weren't there for the pool anyways. I highly recommend this hotel.
