Wouldn't cancel 15mins inside the penalty period”
My corporate client had a change of plans and I asked to cancel his stay 15mins inside the cancellation penalty period that started at midnight...I asked to cancel at 00:15, and the hotel said no.

Breakfast have a few chioces, housekeepers knock our door at early morning about 8.30 and 9.30 (and they will always open to room) .Why they don’t have room scheduled to cleaning or check-out??

To my surprise for a 5 stars hotel in Germany the hospitality and standards are way below par. It was honestly disappointing with the overall of the entire room and experience. From the moment I enter till the day that I left the premise, the premise and the staff whos working there definitely gave me a rather poor experience for the money I paid for. I will not waste my money staying at this Hotel if I knew it is going to end up like this. Rude staff, old moldy furniture and not user friend's entrance if you have heavy luggage, get ready to do some heavy weight lifting and climbing staircase just to get into the premise from the lobby. I would rather pay cheaper rate and get into a motel instead.

Not a 5* hotel as advertised ”
Good value for money, decent rooms, ok’ish breakfast. No parking (even though it advertised it has parking), and no one at reception meaning anyone can walk in and out. Close to HB but quite a dodgy area.

Bad stay ”
When I arrived the receptionist her name is ( Eda-Nur Taskaparan) was very nice and kind , she welcomed me and helped when I asked about something. First, I received the room the window was open it was very cold , there was an insect between pillows after that I called for assistance to adjust the room temperature they came and try to fix it but the heater was broken so they changed my room to another one. The light inside the room was not enough even in the bathroom there was an area of darkness no enough lights. There was some noise from outside it can be heard and it was annoying. Generally the room was cleanliness there was some hair on the blankets and as I said before there was an insect. In the morning , in the restaurant the lady serving there was not kind , she was very rude. The menu was all in german without any translations to english it was difficult for me to understand and I was translating using my phone. I ordered omelets but it was nearly burned I couldn’t eat it, the shape and the taste was awful.

Positive things is reception staff is very friendly. Also, room size is acceptable with luxury toilet. There is available connecting rooms. Negative things is location not recommended the area in not comfortable specially with family. No bell boy and no valet parking. Housekeeping is not cleaning the room well and not refill used items such as tea bag. No security persons and no cameras in the elevators and corridors.

Clean, Convenient and Safe”
This is my first time staying in Steigenberger Metropolitan Frankfurt Hotel. I must say this is one of the cleanest and comfortable hotel that I have ever stayed in Frankfurt. The room is very clean and air conditioning is quiet with good heater. Especially in hot summer and cold winters, you will need a quiet, good working air-conditioner and heater. The location is also very convenient. The central train station Frankfurt Main HF is located within 5mins walk from the hotel. Taxi stand is also located conveniently outside the main entrance of the hotel. Room wifi internet connection is good. Breakfast menu is fantastic with many different variations of eggs, pan cakes and sausages. I will recommend this hotel to all who is planning a trip to city for business or for leisure.

I have stayed at Steigenberger Hotel in Bruxelles Belgium before, which, I agree, is a 5 star hotel. Before I made a hotel reservation in Frankfurt, I thought that this Steigenberger hotel would be at the same level of hotel as the one in Bruxelles. I also saw that Agoda placed 5 star as well, so I was comfortable with my choice. However, this one did not have the class of other Steigenberger Hotel chain. The hotel needed a good face lift throughout. The reception area was very small with outdated furniture. The room also needed an update, furniture was very basic, bathroom amenities were also basic with clean but old towels. The best thing about it was the location, i.e. it is right next to the Frankfurt main station. I would grade this hotel as a 4 star hotel with score of 7.8. (There is another Steigenberger Hotel in Frankfurt called Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof. This one may be at the level of other Steigenberger hotels. We should not be confused only because they bare the same name.)

unexpectedly i was much satisfied by this hotel. first of all this hotel is located by the main station(hauptbahnhof)of frankfurt am main, just 2~3 minutes on foot out of the station. and also the room was very spacious and the hotel surrounding atmosphere was very calm and no problem for family-typed travelers. the value for money as to this hotel is satisfactory but the breakfast quality is normal but has no problem

This what I think of when describing "old world charm". The concierge was so helpful, bags are taken to your room (No one does that anymore!) The room was great ...i love the deep bath tub, the flowers are real, the breakfast is perfect, with linens and you can order your hearts delight. Love this place... would come to Frankfurt just to stay here! It's a lovely hotel.
