Centrally located near the river, it is walking distance to the market, pub street, the riverside esplanade and a multitude of restaurants and cafes. Breakfast buffet was good and varied. The pool is refreshing and tucked away in a walled garden with flowering vines providing shade and the gym while not large has all the basic equipment plus free weights. The staff are exceedingly polite and friendly. We were met at reception upon check in with a cold drink and a cool damp towel. A lovely extra touch. I would certainly stay here again. Good value for money.

They’ll also help arrange transport when you need it. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss for me- pre-made eggs in any style other than hard boiled are not nice as they’re generally cold, but everything else was ok. Lots of fresh fruit and pastries, so that’s good. Take earplugs if you’re staying here as local music coming from Pub Street and surrounding areas can be loud and one night it started up at 22:30 and it went on for a couple of hours. But this may not be the case all the time. 4 of us (2 kids 2 adults) shared a twin room- and although the beds were a bit snug is worked out ok. Breakfast included in the price!
