Great hotel near the train station”
We loved everything about this hotel especially the convenience of being next to Penn station. We got the room with 2 beds - very much recommend this because its much larger than the single bed room. Wonderful staff. it is next to the fire station and it could get noisy but luckily there were no emergencies during the night we stayed there and we got a terrific nights sleep.

Bad Services, inadequate staff and toiletries and minibar”
I stayed at Stewart hotel for 7 nights. For the first impression, the room size is ok for New York City standards. The room decoration was very simple, not modern or unique. Bathroom cleanliness is ok but not that clean and there was no shower cap. Heater/Air Conditioner machine and Coffee maker were dirty, full of dust. Bed sheets were not change often and some day there is a small element like cement dust on the bed! so disgusting. Tea and paper cup were not refilled everyday and the housekeeper didn't throw away the used cup and left them on the table. There was no water boiler in the room and I called and asked the reception for several times until i finally got it. For other days, There were no towel in bathroom, My mom was in the bath and found out that there were no towel in there so I called the reception and room services for more than 20 times and no one pick up the phone! so I decided to call the dining services to pass the calls to them and finally they bring me the towel but it was almost an hour later!! What a bad services. This didn't only happen to me because when I was in the elevator I met another guest that tried to call the reception for many times and no one pick up and he had to go down by himself. He complained a lot about the services too. The decoration at lobby floor and the location seem to be only the good thing for this hotel.

Good location but lacking in other areas”
The best thing about the hotel is the location which is very close to Penn station. Very convenient to get on LIRR to JFK or NJ Transit to EWR from this location. The room we stayed in was very noisy from the constant honking on 7th Ave and since the AC is a window unit, it allows all the noise to come in. We also had a huge cockroach crawling on the wall when we returned to the room one night.

Acceptable”
Really unimpressive with the Hotel. First of all, the Guest room is quite old fashion and some parts are broken. Also, there are lack of provided the Toiletries in the Bathroom such as Shower Cab, cotton buds which should provided for 3 stars up Hotel. Furthermore, I stayed in this Hotel for a week, the housekeeping was not functional. Someday the Towel were not provided as the numbers of quest and someday there are dirty glasses in the room without cleaning. and also the room was never clean up properly. When I rang up the reception, I call many times with the same answer but I couldn't get anything. It took an hour without nothing. I need to go downstairs to reception to get it by myself. This situations were like this 4 out of 7 nights. I think this is the worst hotel I used to stay.

Friendly staff, noisy location, rooms need updating no easy access.”
When we arrived we were told we had been up graded but the room we booked on a agoda was nothing like we expected. Neither was the upgrade. However the staff did put us in a room with two double beds and kitchenette which was the description we were given on agoda. The bathroom was tiny and the door only just opened rubbing the toilet seat.There were lots of damp patches and rust. Whilst the location is central don't expect to sleep unless you have amazing earplugs. The noise is so loud you might as well have had all the windows opened. You may get some sleep between 2am and 3am if lucky... We had a 2 year old with us and there is no easy access so definately wouldn't recommend it for this reason and especially if you are wheelchair bound. Overall really disappointed with the overall hotel despite the helpful staff. Always double check your booking as agoda seem to miss sell the rooms... also remember the price you see is definitely not the price you pay.. add an extra 200 to b

Great value, size and location”
Was given smaller room 1010 cuz my suite still wasn't ready after waiting 4 hrs. Carpet was peeling so I demanded my original room back....2507. Big difference and happy after all
