Stewarts Bay Lodge manages to offer several different types of holiday - beach, rural, history, and luxury - all wrapped up into one perfect package. The direct waterfront access and views are taken advantage of from every location, and if the ocean is too tempting, the pristine Stewarts Bay Beach lies to the right, or the more secluded Ladies Bay, ideal for snorkeling, is to the left. Cabins with one to three bedrooms and fully equipped kitchens are set among the grounds, and each has a large furnished deck.

Lovely & cosy lodge with surrounding wildlife”
The lodge was clean & well-equipped with washing machine, bed heating pad, dryer & toilet heater. The lady at the reception was warm & helpful with our check-in. There were plenty of DVDs, board games etc available for guest at the reception area as well. We saw a group of guest having an enjoyable BBQ session at the outdoor area near the playground. Seems like a great plan! But you will have to get your groceries before heading down to Port Arthur. Also, quolls & wallabies in the compound as well:) Overall, great experience and will definitely recommend this place to others heading to Port Arthur.
Beautiful location and views, staff were friendly and efficient. Cabin clean and has laundry. Restaurant on site, small supermarket within walking distance. There is a fantastic boat tour where you catch a bus within walking distance of the lodge. The tour ends at Stewart’s Bay which is ideal. Loved our stay, wished we had longer there. Port Arthur Historic site is just a short drive away.
Located right next to the turn off to the Port Arthur Historic Site, Stewarts was a peaceful paradise. Once I arrived, I wished I'd stayed longer. You can enjoy a nice glass of wine on your balcony, a nice spa bath overlooking the bush or take a walk down to the waterfront at sunset. Fully self contained. No phone/internet reception unless you are with Telstra but that's a good thing. Loved my stay.
Great location, walking distance to Port Arthur”
Excellent quiet location, tucked into the forest hillside with views of the bay between the trees. Walking distance to Port Arthur and Stewarts Bay. Fully equipped kitchen with the most comfortable mattress ever!
close to port arthur and comfortable stay”
We checked in the late evening, although the reception was closed, check in process was made easy by the attentive restaurant staff who was friendly and provided good advice on the direction to Port Arthur, and the food options available. The location was near port Arthur, approx 5 min drive, although the food option in the restaurant itself was not fantastic. Very value for money stay.
The lodge was really huge and well-equipped, from kitchen amenities to even washing machine and dryer in the room. We liked how spacious the cabin was and the view from the balcony was gorgeous. It was also very conveniently located from Port Arthur historic site. Only downside was the TV which had alot of interference. Wished we planned a longer stay here!
Loved our Cabin! Very comfortable, self contained kitchen with everything that you needed. Loungeroom with large TV and DVD..Great balcony with bush outlook and we could see the beach. Stewarts Bay Lodge is great for familiies, Couples or a romantic getaway.. Gabriels Restaurant is cozy with large fireplace, great food, friendly staff. The owners are wonderful people and very welcoming. Would deffinatley stay again
Outstanding Lodge in Port Arthur ”
My stay at Stewarts Bay Lodge was wonderful. The cabin is surrounded by bushland with many short walks to nearby beaches and the nearby historic site. The cabin itself was very spacious and modern. The on-site restaurant was ok but over-priced but the scenery made up for it. I would definitely stay here again.
Great place to stay!”
We stayed in Stewarts Bay Lodge only 1 night. We booked our room deluxe in Agoda but it didn't say what view we will have so when we arrive we got deluxe lodge with no view so we just paid extra 40 us dollar for 1 night. We will defiantly back to this place! So beautiful! So peaceful!
Lovely weekend away at Stewarts Bay Lodge”
Spent 2 nights, 3 days at Stewarts Bay Lodge over the Easter weekend and loved it. Great location, peaceful setting, ideal for a quiet getaway for any couple wanting to escape the city (and the kids). Anything needed if it wasn't at the lodge was available nearby. Would love to go back again.
It's somewhat in the forest, cabins are fairly spaced out with its access to a reserve. Very spacious cabins. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Introduced the area with several tips. They also allow free rental of binoculars, DVDs and games. Excellent place at Port Arthur.
Comfortable, feels like home”
The cottage is very spacious, it has a full kitchen, a large balcony with a nice view. The room is big and the spa is nice. You can walk to the Port Arthur Historical Site via a very nice little trail. The food at the restaurant is good but the service is very slow.
Beautiful grounds and cabins”
Stayed two nights to visit Port Arthur historical site and Tasman Peninsula. It is right next door to the historical site so very convenient if you want to do the after dark tour. The restaurant was closed for dinner during our stay so we didn't try their food.
Beautiful location and fantastic facilities, such great value for money. Very comfortable bed and couch, great cooking and washing facilities. Perfect location for Tasman island cruises and Port Arthur historic site.
Room was perfect (recently renovated), friendly staff, great location (right next to Port Arthur), and fabulous facility (restaurant). No complaints, easy 4.5 star hotel!
A perfect location to visit Port Arthur Historic Precinct and Tasman Penisula. Our log cabin was warm, clean and well presented. The kitchen is well serviced and the laundry room has a dryer.
This is my second trip to Stewarts Bay Lodge and already i cannot wait to return. Cabins have everything you could possibly need and the views of the bay from the cabin balconies are spectacular.
Great stay at Stewarts Bay Lodge”
Enjoyed it very much. Everything you need is in the cabin. Great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Port Arthur historic site is just minutes away.
Spacious Cabin with washing machine and dryer”
Clean and spacious cabins with friendly staff who will recommend where to go for aurora sightings. Location very near to the Port Arthur Pre-historic Site.
Nice Clean Cabin, Fantastic Restaurant”
Great stay at Stewarts Bay Lodge which is conveniently located. Cabins are very cosy and clean. Bed warmer was wonderful during our stay. Good service by staffs at Gabriel Restaurant.
