A Weekend Away”
Every married couple knows sometimes you just need a weekend away. It was like turning off the phone, can you imagine. Lots of great places to have a drink or eat a great meal. We found ourselves putting pictures on Facebook, which we seldom do. Loved the skinny pancake and Pie-Casso, which is walking distance. Best of all we had the one-on-one time that you just cannot put a price on. Take care and God Bless.

Great Space, some areas lacking”
I really loved vibe and beauty of Stoweflake. I spent a lot of time by the pool and it's a lovely space. There are a few areas for improvement though - they desperately need to repave their parking lots/roadways. The potholes are huge. A lot of people left towels by the pool to reserve spots they didn't seem to be using, so there was limited space for people actually at the pool to set up. The restaurant on site was more closed than open during the time I was there, I had to leave to eat dinner. I was disappointed that both the hottub and the spa waterfall were out of service while I was there - as a solo traveler I was looking forward to those amenities. The website explicitly mentions paddle boarding but when I checked in and asked the front desk staff where I could paddle board they had no clear answer for me. That said the resort was clean, the staff was friendly, I really liked the aesthetic of the resort can see how cozy it would be in the winter. Not sure I got my value out of it though.

Great place for summer relaxation. ”
Had a great three days at Stoweflake. Great facility: big gym, spa (book your treatment before you go), restaurant (like everywhere right now, they are short on help), pool and hot tub outside, lap pool. We had a king room in the West Wing. Spacious, fireplace(!), big bathroom with separate tub and oversized shower, double sinks. The facility is a little dated but well kept up. On the Rec Path, bike rental avail, loads of restaurants in Stowe. Would definitely go back!

Great hotel, great location, great experience!”
We had such a great experience at this hotel! The rooms were great, the fireplace in the room was such a nice touch! The hot tub/pool was really nice and relaxing - especially with the view of the mountains in the back. The staff was very nice and it was so easy and nice to be able to walk to all of the close by restaurants, farmers market, and little shops!

Dated, but nice and welcoming”
May need a little sprucing up, but rooms were clean and bed was comfy. Loved Charlie B’s restaurant. Nice location in town and while we couldn’t do the spa- it looked amazing. We would stay again.

Stowe ski get away”
Wife and I got the king bed suite and found that spacious for a 4 nite stay. In room Sink with small frig allowed for making our own basic breakfast and lunches. They provide coffee at 7 as well as freshly made cookies each afternoon as they have restaurant on site. Good restaurants w/n walking distance, less than 10 min to quad parking.

At first I was a little dissapointed by minor things (dated room decor, loud mini fridge in room) but the perfect location and amaxing spa won me over

Front staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room was very spacious and had a gas fireplace. It is a bit dated but clean and not missing any typical room amenities.

Fails to meet its potential, but the spa was nice!”
The Stoweflake Mountain Resort has all of the ingredients to make a fabulous stay for those visiting Stowe and was a hot spot in its day I'm sure, but the place is in need of a serious update. Rugs are stained and torn up in the halls; furniture is marked up; chairs are worn out; one lobby couch had duct tape on it covering a rip; there's dusty and worn out games in the game room, ect. But it wasn't only the state of the furniture that needs work, it is obvious that a resort of this size is struggling to find the work in order to keep up with the resort's cleanliness. While our stay was far from terrible, it was hard to fully enjoy and embrace what the hotel is trying to offer when it is in need of a bath, an update, and a revived spirit! It's stuck in 2010, which seems to be the year, according to its rewards which are on display near the conference center, of its peak. Before I go on about the details that prompted this review, I will say the spa was exactly as pictured and the perfect relaxation spot after a day of skiing! 5 stars on the spa! The whole hotel was at most a basic surface level clean. Fortunately, I received a good deal through Agoda of $140/night while booking, but the resort is typically around $500 a night, and for that original ticket price, a lot more attention to detail and upkeep should be paid when managing this resort. Otherwise, they should lower their prices to this $140 benchmark, because that is at most what these rooms are worth, and if I paid close to their original pricing, I would have been furious. To give some examples to what could have easily been avoided by proper training and management in housekeeping, see below: -the toilet had grime built up in the bottom of it, indicating a lack of proper cleaning for weeks. A stain like this typically is easy to remove as years of experience in cleaning toilets have told me. This stain is simply a lack of proper cleaning. -there was residue, and mold forming in the water fi

Older property well kept”
All facilities in the room functioned and were clean. Hot water in the shower was spotty the temperature fluctuated wildly from cold to scalding. Some of the carpeting in common areas was clean but clearly worn torn and in need of replacement. Overall it was quiet relaxed near the town and would recommend.

Club Double is not 2 double beds”
I was surprised to find out that a club double ended up being one queen bed and a sofa. The room did not have the additional lock at the top that all hotel rooms have. I was a little uncomfortable since the room entrance was from the outside parking lot and not from inside the hotel halls. For some reason all hotels in Stowe double and tripled their rates compared to previous summers. This was the cheapest I could find.

Above average”
There are many options in Stowe that someone can stay. This resort needs an upgrade all around. Stephanie in the spa acted like my partner and I were bothering her when asking a simple question and lost out on a sale due to it. She seemed the same way when I went back for a treatment and I heard her talking to a customer about treatments and just read it off the screen. If you’re going to work in a spa, you should make people feel welcomed and relaxed. Not like they annoy you. The room was ok, but a lot of things are misleading. The jacuzzi tub was small, and the waterfall and salt bath rooms was so small I ended up not going because there was just way too many people and the waterfall wasn’t even on when I was given a tour. When checking out, there was another couple stating that they had no heat in their room and it is quite cold at night now. The lady at the front never apologized but just said “he’s working on it.” I have worked in customer service for years. I also understand about being short staffed. But if you’re going to work with the public, you need to treat them better. I would not come back to this resort nor would I recommend it to anyone.

Be careful if you have a pet”
If you book from a third party, they do not tell you you need a proof of vaccinations. There is a breakdown in passing that information to the customer. The staff was mean and unkind. We had stayed at this facility before and booked through the hotel directly which worked out fine. This experience with Agoda did not go well.

Lack in cleanliness”
Ok so i understand, we are talking about a lodge here, that's fine I was not expecting modern, however, there is clearly a lack of cleanliness. We had to move the armchair, to get more confortable...and what was under it was gross, an empty bottle, tons of crumbs of some sort... so i check under the bed and the amount of dirt was insane. Bathroom was cleaner. Wall paper was holding with tape...well bed was very comfortable, at least. People, not asking for me, just clean everywhere, not just around stuff!

Huge ruts in the parking lot. Carpet was not clean. Wallpaper was peeling. The club section of the hotel still littered with dirt and leaves.
