What an incredible place. Enormous rooms with Spa's in every one, beautiful private gardens and views over the countryside, port and cookies in the rooms and breakfast included. We stayed at a run down motel in Nambucca a few days earlier, which cost more than Strathearn Park Lodge. The two weren't even comparable. They also allowed our two dogs to stay in the room with us! We highly recommend this place and will definitely be back when passing through Scone next. 10 out of 10!

Totally relaxing, real great location, top class room”
The room was sensational, like a massive suite at a hotel. Spa bath did not disappoint! Had dinner cooked by the host, real good healthy hearty grub. Would come back, recommend it for small families/single moms as safe and we'll situated.

Fantastic - I couldn't recommend it enough. Lyn and Peter were welcoming, helpful, and unobtrusive. Wood fires were lovely (and lit for you), the meal was great (room service or in the lounge /dining room). My room was a large suite & came with its own private garden and a spa.

Exceptional”
We stayed here 19 years ago as part of our honeymoon road trip, have always wanted to return and we finally have. This place sets the standard for how to present and operate a 5 star accommodation experience. Can't remember a more well appointed suite. Double spa bath, slow combustion wood heater, quality glassware, coffee plungers, i could go on but you get the idea. The continental breakfast was delicious. Our hosts are wonderful and we hope to return soon.

Getaway in every sense of the word:))”
The drive up the long driveway should indicate that this is a very special place. Situated amongst paddocks in this beautiful part of the world. The lounge area looked very inviting, and we were treated to complimentary breakfasts in the small dining area attached. The suite was jaw-dropping. Huge in size with a spa, private garden and fireplace. Lyn and Peter, our hosts were very accommodating. I would not hesitate in going back for a few nights!

Very nice, secluded and in a lovely setting. The only small negative was the signage. It is difficult to find it at night and difficult to stop driving at 110km an hour with all the trucks behind.

Everything are good here only thing if u planning to have wine testing with your trip then I won’t recommend you to stay here coz it’s far from Pokolbin u don’t want to wast your time on the road .

We where not satisfied, because I wrote in her guestbook It was "marvelous", but she wrote an other story Under my story that was written by herself and not by us. The room was not so very clean and the breakfest very bad and poor, we boaght our own breakfest. I write did now, because she wrote her story under my written story, in the guestbook, that she was a fantastic host etc. etc. But we do not like, that the host write things we never have said.

How disappointing that such lovely people could get it so wrong and actually think that of me. I DID NOT WRITE ANYTHING IN THE GUESTBOOK. The other guests that left at same time as you actually put a review in and I guess their english was not good so picked the word you had emphasised "MARVELOUS" . I am sorry you did not like the continental and did not order the hot breakfast. You purchased your own cheese and pastrami as I guess that is what you are used to in your native Holland, and as you said do not have "sweet" things for breakfast -which was the yoghurt, fruit and home made jams.

I booked Strathearn Lodge while heading home to Sydney. This is a place I will be returning to again, with my husband next time. Both to visit Scone, and just to re-visit this stunning jewel of the Upper Hunter. Quiet, spacious and home to spectacular sunrises and sunsets. And storms! Loved it. Looking forward to my next stay!
