Strawberry Park Resort
Definitively come back again ”
Pros: - Quiet and clean environment, spacious room with nice mountain view. - Free car park available. - Helpful staffs. - Near to town, easy to find restaurants and grocery shop. Cons: - some bugs visiting at night due to the resort is located in forest.
Great and Fun Stay”
We had a nice stay at this hotel, it was clean and spacious. They also provided baby cot for my one year old. She enjoyed the spaciousness of the room. The bathroom is also spacious, except that it would be better with a shower hose. It is quite hard to bathe my baby using the fixed shower. Overall we enjoyed our stay here.
Noisy at block F”
Hotel has nice scenery surrounding. However, I stayed at block F and get disturbed with car engine sound as balcony is facing to the lobby car parks. Not only that, lots of internal room sound eg Water drop from roof and sound like running washing machine. Having sleep difficulty most of the time. If you want to stay there, try other block. Avoid block F
Excellent place to relax and unwind ”
Very nice hotel and staff . Breakfast was good and so were the meals in the restaurant It’s a way out of town so you are captive in the hotel and facilities. Or have to take a taxi every time to and from town
Forneture is getting old and out of date.the first night we stayed at 3-bedroom which they call it Shasta.I could not sleep because of bad smell that coming out of the forneture and the noises of the cars that going and leaving the reception area.moreover the view is very bad facing the restaurant.the next day we managed to move to a 2-bedroom and it was much better.I strongly recommend every one interested in staying at this outdated resort not to go for the three bedroom.I would not come back again and I would not recommend it to any friend.
Nice place and quite
Will definitely return!”
Located smack between Tanah Rata and Brinchang, this hotel gives you all the best Cameron's has to offer without burning a hole in your pocket. First off, be aware that you need a car to be appreciated properly. Secondly, be prepared that the weather can turn wet and cold. So when you have hotel staff who give you a warm, professional greeting, well, you are off to a great start. Then you get to your room and you get the next pleasant surprise that the room may be the lowest category but the size, cleanliness and comfort is more than you expected. If I had to dig deep to find a shortcoming, it would be that my room was in Block G which overlooked the main block with the main entrance/lobby. Trying to sleep in one morning, I awoke to sounds of happy families heading off to yours and treks (which can be booked through the hotel). A little loud but happy sounds, nevertheless. For my next de-stressing trip to Cameron's, this will the only hotel on my list. Keep up the great work, SPR
our hotel choice whenever we go to CH ”
This hotel has been around for many years. It use to be a really posh hotel but I suppose it has seen better days. However it is still well maintained although you can see some signs of aging here and there. One of the things I love about this hotel is the grounds. Such lovely trees and flowers everywhere ! Truly ideal for your highland vacation where you just want to be close to nature enjoying the lovely weather. The rooms are big and very comfortable . Love the huge balcony where you can just sit outside to enjoy your hot Boh tea. The hotel is slightly far from town but with weather like this , you can just enjoy your walk or better still if you have a car. Didn't try the breakfast there so can't comment. All in all , still my hotel of choice when I visit the highlands again .
Best Place for a Cooling & Serene Retreat ”
This is my favourite go to resort in Cameron Highlands. It has been a ritual for my wife and I to come here twice yearly. Is there anything that I would care to complain about the place? None that is too serious to dampen my stay. If shove come to push-the breakfast spread has dipped slightly in quality lately. I miss the various blocks of cheese that I used to enjoy so much. They had now been replaced with filmsy and bland sandwich cheese. But to be fair, you can't get any better hotel breakfast anywhere in Cameron Highlands for the price you pay for the rooms. And the top draw of the place is its location. If you love cool, fresh mountain air, this is The Place. If you cherish cleanliness, quietness and tranquility, there is no better place in Cameron Highlands at the price. And the fact that it is located atop the hill between Tanah Rata and Brinchang towns that are mere 5-10 minutes drive away, you will be spoiled for choices with Chinese, Indian and Western foods on offer.
Lovely place and great ambience ”
Stayed 2 nights. Room was very clean and well layed out. Comfy bed and a very good shower. Breakfast was great. Many selections. Staff were very attentive. Only thing that we didnt get was a view from our balcony. Our room was above the smoked house restaurant area so it was just a little nosy and really no view. But we didn't mind it too much as I didn't ask for view but a big room. We had our dinner at Brassiere 85. The food was great. Best chicken satay sticks we ever had. Resort is away from the town so it is very quiet. Which we loved. We will book this hotel again.
The hotel is well maintained eventhough aged above 20 years old. Checked in on 15th December 2018. Room was gorgeous. Ordered room service for fish n chips for lunch. As an ex-hotelier, it took me so many years to taste a delicious fish n chips. Well done to the chef whom cooked it. Perfect! Unfortunately, my bad luck, when I ordered for dinner again. It went opposite. Ordered chicken burger and nasi goreng 'istimewa.' To be honest, nothing was so special(istimewa) about it as the garnishing n preparation resembles the same pattern from almost every hotel. The only 'istimewa' to me is that it was tasteless. Burger patty was not on the par. Ramly burger tastes better! Overall, frontliner staff services was acceptable and should be applauded.
Perfect Hotel For A Cool Vacation”
Hotel is situated far from the crowded towns, deep inside the forest. Climate is really cool there and hotel is clean and luxurious, with a nice breakfast. There are few restaurants in the hotel which serve excellent tasty food. Will stay there again!
Decent Place. Lack cleaning and willingness to refresh the toiletries while making up the room but I guess this is quite common in Malaysia now. Overall no complain. Nice location. Food options are adequate, Location is great. No real complain since we did not expect high
Amazing trip ”
Adding to our memorable trip was our stay here. The resort was just too pretty and comfortable. Will be easier if you have your own transportation. We did a little hiking with a guide they provided Ashwad. He was so a wonderful guide. Breakfast was nothing to shout about but not too bad either. Loved our stay over all
Great location ”
Highly recommend this hotel/resort. The dining room facilities are catered for the most discerning taste buds. The breakfast was nice with a wide variety of food options, the egg station was OK only. The only negative was that the bathroom could be a bit cleaner with use of bleach, unfortunately I didn't bring my thongs and ended up with tinea upon returning, easily avoided with prior planning or better use of bleach. Room facilities were very good and spacious with great views. I was on the top floor and had uninterrupted views of the flora and hills. The location of the hotel is very nice as it is away from the noise and traffic, but there is a comprise if you do not have your own transport be prepared for a long walk or use a taxi. The overall experience however is that this would be my first choice of hotel/resort when I return to Cameron highlands. I have been to three other hotels in the Tanah Rata area previously and this hotel/resort is my favourite.
Great stay, Strategic location”
Very quiet place I must say. But it is very close to the Pasar Malam Brincang, it is about 2km. But I came during peak season, so it took me about 30 minutes to reach there by car. The breakfast is just nice for me. Quite many of varieties and my 1y8m son really likes the pancake. On the facilities, our balcony lights malfunctioned. Others are OK.
Shasta Family Suite has 4 rooms. Spacious and excellent choice to spend time with your family. Water pressure is excellent. Extra blankets are provided and are very useful since the nights are cold. Staff was very professional and helpful. It's quite far from other hotels and places of interest, so it's peaceful up there. Security also excellent.
I forgot my Huawei quick charger in the room, however hotel people could not find it. ”
I forgot my Huawei quick charger when I checked out. I called the hotel 3 times the same day after I found out my charger was left behind. But the staff did not call me back as she promised. I kept calling for a few days, the manager said they were still investigating. But I heard no news at all until this moment. I am not happy with it.
Pros: View/Breakfast was good”
Cons: No lift access as its' a 5-storey buildings Very Dim light in rooms
Great location and value”
We stayed for 2 nights. Pros - great location as it is a kilometer or so from the main highway, room was large and quiet (for most part), helpful staff (a front desk person helped me resolve a parking ticket incurred in the nearby town), dinner options were good as we ate in both the outdoor terrace as well as at the Indian restaurant; Cons - the facility is more than a bit dated and worn, water tower pump noise was distracting at night, breakfast was well below standard for this type of hotel as the food selection was disappointing and the staff were indifferent.
